Oogie Boogie is a terrific song with Geoff's voice and the character voices from the rest of the group. Last year, VoicePlay did In the Hall of the Mountain King (take a look at the t-shirts at the end when one of the character voices says, "Quit eating the merchandise." It is composed of trolls and a cauldron and everything that goes into the pot changes something! This was one of the movements in The Peer Gynt Suite by Edvard Grieg in 1875 and my favorite movement when we performed it for concert when I was in high school band back in 1968.
Want hairflips from Geoff? Frozen II Medley We Don't Talk About Bruno Nobody Like U (which is still on their minis channel) And all of those PLUS Christmas Don't Be Late...... I don't want to spoil that one.😂😂
One day, we knew they were get around to it. When this song came out, it was the first time we heard any of the basses hit a note this low, Geoff going that high, plus a bass being the primary singer.
I think this was the video where it was finally confirmed that Geoff isn't human. You've all got great costumes so I'm not telling you whose is my favourite, it seems unfair! And as to your question: "Is it a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie?" "Yes."
I mean… come on… its Gizmo! Lol. Just almost surprised you two didnt get two of the unique gremlin costumes to go with it haha. The other costumes are great though
Thank you ladies for a great reaction to Voice Play. If you want really spooky than please do a reaction video to Voice Plays cover of This Is Halloween. It took them over 14 hours to make this video because of all the make-up & costume changes as they progress into their characters. Also Voice Plays cover of Hell Fire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Sandy Claws is played by Geoff's wife Kathy's brother, though the voice is done by Eli. They have five or six songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas now. If you catch Tim appearance in VoicePlay's video Just Song you'll see Tim and Geoff had the same hair style with a grey streak in the same place. Also, here's two videos that go well together, if you haven't reacted to either of them yet. Misty Mountains by Peter Hollens feat. Tim Foust and Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold by Geoff Castellucci, both inspired by The Hobbit and both stunning renditions.
I noticed that you did a reaction to the Base Gang's version of Hide and Seek. You definitely need to check out Voiceplay's version of this song with the same female guest artist. Lots of Haunted Mansion vibes and definitely fun 😊
you have done a lot of Home Free but not so many Voice play. It is really pick whichever, there are soooooooo many to choose from I would like to see you three react to all of them!!!
Geoff is going to have to put some band aids on his balls because they dropped so low in this song that they were dragging on the ground 😂🤣 Geoff does another song from Nightmare Before Christmas where he plays the Pumpkin King, it's called Jack's Lament. As for picking the favorite costume, that's like picking a favorite child, you know you have one, you just don't say it out loud. 😂 Great reaction y'all, puff puff pass. 🙌✌️
@@doobiedave9686 No he didn´t, Geoff learned vocal fry aka ¨Growling¨ by Tim. Subharmonics is Geoff on his own. Vocal fry according to him is natural, you don´t strain your voice. Tim mastered it. But subharmonics is unnatural and needs daily practice. Peter Barber added also most bass have weak vocal fry (Peter the opposite). Tim is a rare case of being good at both. Geoff though not initially as good or even a bass but a low baritone has through practice and dilligence became top-tier.
You mentioned that you liked the captions saying “even lower,” but didn’t mention the following “subterranean”!
Ladies
Geoff's last note at the end according to few vocal coaches and teachers is an E1 (subharmonics)
At last!
Haven't even watched it yet and I know it's going to be fun!
That last note, though! This is a great arrangement and a great reaction.
VoicePlay and Geoff Castellucci have a ton of Halloween content. You need to check out more of their seasonal stuff (lots of Christmas stuff, too).
Check out more of Geoff’s and Voiceplays content. It’s amazing.
The mogwai costume is definitely my favorite
In Voiceplay's "Just Sing" Tim is in it, and they make a joke about it.

If you'd like to see Geoff actually flip his hair on-screen, then take a look at VoicePlay's cover of We Don't Talk About Bruno, from Encanto.

Night Before Christmas ...both!
Love the costumes, ladies!! You all look great! Love VoicePlay too! Happy Halloween! 🎃👻😈
Think hard about this on Christmas Eve. Sleep tight.
YES!!!!

She is not a gremlin. She is Gizmo.

Love the Magwai
My favorite costume hmm; fffm !!!!
I'm voting for Superwoman!

LMAO that note is standard for Geoff now, the easiest one he needs subharmonics for.
@@embran8486and he learned how to do it from Tim Foust of Home Free ✌️

I watched a video by Geoff where he credits Tim, but believe what you want to.
Hair length is directly proportional to ball drop depth. The secret is out
Have you ever done Geoff's Headless Horseman
One of my favorite movie "nightmare before christmas"
I'm so surprised that you have not reacted yet to the kings and queen of acapella, Pentatonix...
Lila's technically not a gremlin because a gremlin is what they turn into after they eat after midnight.
No no it's a Christmas movie. The whole movie is about Jack taking over Christmas and not wanting to do Halloween anymore
I never understand whey people confuse Geoff with Tim. They actually look nothing alike. Apart from the hair. But there we are.
That is a mogwai not a gremlin😉
