This amazed me when I first saw it - apparently they started filming at 7am and didn't finish till like 11pm - there were 10 or so breaks for the next stage of makeup, incredible dedication! Rick Underwood is their incredible makeup/prosthetics guy, they knew him from when many of them (Geoff and his wife for sure) worked at the Universal Studios theme park in Florida..! VP (and Geoff) love Halloween - they've also done the Oogie Boogie song, and 'Kidnap The Sandy Claws' from Nightmare Before Christmas, Geoff recently dropped his cover of 'Jack's Lament' - it's stunning!
I doubt you noticed, but your chicken costume kind of matches Eli’s rooster onesie when they opened the door. So very appropriate! Not something you’ve heard from them yet ( and I wouldn’t do it for quite a while yet), but Earl (as a cow) and Eli are dressed to match their parts in a song the did live on tour “The Chicken Song”
