If the new MT07's chassis upgrades match the existing R7's performance this would be the best MT07 ever. Not sure how necessary the electronic upgrades are for this bike but overall we'll just have to wait for testing to confirm how well this all works as a package.
Its a patented Unicam system that's also used on the CRF450 series, pretty much uses a SOHC with the benefits of DOHC as it has 4 valves but with less friction and moving parts compared to the the conventional DOHC.
Believe it or not, the #1 selling motorcycle in the US for 2024 is up there. The Yamaha MT-07 was like #6 if Im not mistaken. The Kawasaki Z650 sold more thasn any other bike. I coulodnt believe it either.

CB750 is not only cheaper than the MT-07 but beats it in performance and features.
Interestingg
Yamaha needs to step up their game😭 (coming from a die hard Yamaha fan lol)
Cos you can't set high price on an ugly bike.
Not available in North America so doesn't matter
True, but Yamaha is a better singer.
One thing I’ve learned about Kawasakis - you have to ride the bike. Paper specs dont tell the full story
Kawasaki needs to get that usd fork and 270 crank already
they will stick with the lower price instead
The Suzuki GSX-8S was missing from this comparison!!
Loving your in-depth comparisons. Is it possible to flash up the weight as it converts to pounds? Thanks.
isnt that cb750 hornet using a unicam system?
Yep is using unicam
Yes, it's not dohc
Yes, just like CRF450R
mt07 for the win good speed very light nice sound updated features..
Why is the hornet not in US/CA yet!?
when did honda change hornet headlight design?
Yamaha with the automatic gear system is a win
Kawasaki has been too lazy and outdated it's been 7 years and they dont want to change out that BORING 180* firing order. Easy win for the other 2.
I guess their thinking is they won't have to compete in
the middleweight category since they have z900 already. And they make the zx4r as well.
But Yamaha have a „automatic“ gear, which for me, is a big advantage
pls mt-03 vs duke 390
I prefer my Trident to these.
Me top
Wait what. Did Honda go crossplane for the 750 series? 😮😮😮
Nope is Unicam
Don’t know why, but Honda’s bike always give a lazy feeling. 😅
they are smoother with a linear experience yes
It's a boring bike, MT07 its most Super Fun
Yamaha R7 vs Triumph Daytona 660 vs Suzuki GSX-8R
Which is the best non 4 cylinder Sports Bike under 10,000 Dollar ?🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Cb 1000r under 10,000 dollar?
Gsx 8s
For sure with its dominant suspension
WHERE is the Suzuki GSX8 ??
GSX8S? GSX8S Is best parallel twin in class
Isn't Hornet a SOHC?🤔
The older version I guess
