The Hill of Crosses thing creeps out almost everyone. Personally, that was one of the reasons I went there, it was amazing and creepy at the same time. Truly has a unique vibe, you don't have to be religious to appreciate it.
But the Hill of Crosses is not precisely about religion. It is resistance to Russian occupation. When people left crosses to commemorate those that died fighting Russians and also as a sign of continuing resistance. That place had been leveled to the ground a few times. All crosses had been removed. But people still went there in the middle of the night, risking death, just to put a cross.

Thank you for the amazing video, good job!! 🥳 Also, I want to share some facts about Lithuania, which could be interesting to You: in 2018 lithuanians and americans together created an incredible movie about what Lithuania had to face in Soviet union ,,between shades of gray”. This movie was filmed in english language and might be showing in USA. Other interesting fact is about two lihuanians, who lived in USA, worked there, made some money, bought a plane and in 1933 were the first people in the world who fly across the Atlantic ocean from New York, USA, to Kaunas, Lithuania. Sadly, plane crashed in Poland, nobody exetcly know why, but there are many theories. The names of pilots were Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas. Cheers ✌️
I agree, this guy did such an amazing job - the video, the editing, also so fun and charismatic! I love these reaction videos cause it just makes you see that all the countries are so beautiful and special in different ways.
