Brad, you are absolutely correct about everything you said. One little known tool that most policyholders have is APPRAISAL. Policyholders can demand Appraisal to resolve disputes regarding the amounts of the loss. Insurance companies do not like having to go through the appraisal process.
Man I’ve been in the groups saying this and these experts that filed back in Rita just giving bad info. I got a handshake and case of beer for you if we run into each other.
Thank you for straightening up this mess as best you can from the cab of your truck. Great video. Unfortunately... I was uninsured. Disabled. Basically, I'm screwed in a house that was paid for.
I have a ? We were renting and had renters insurance and they paid us almost our full coverage but it only covered the our content and the remodels I done to the house prior to storm if I take what was paid out and put down on a house would they be able to get me with insurance fraud since I didn't buy the contents that they cut the check for cause even if I did go out and buy everything we lost where would I put it without a home so I'ma get a home and replace everything that was lost out of my own pocket a little bit at a time
Just asking cause that the last thing I need is something else to worry bout when I'm just thinking logically and tryna do what is right for my wife and kids in my mind we need a roof over our heads before I can replace content that go under that roof
@@kimgolightly2230 Public adjusters cannot charge a %. They need to be "disinterested." If you do hire a public adjuster, you'll likely have to go through appraisal. Appraisal is a dispute resolution process allowed in many policies. In appraisal, each side hires an appraiser, the two appraisers identify the amounts of the loss. Many people can use appraisal to resolve their differences with the insurance company without having to hire a lawyer or public adjuster. (I've been involved with catastrophe claims since 1992)
Still seeing tons of posts asking for a bid... Im like either you have a scope and thats your bid... or from the client.. Why do I need to tell you if i I have insurance... Red flag for ... looking for your Vegas vacation fund

That's why I hired a public adjuster. If you need one I know a good one that will fight for you.
I am planning to look at hiring a public adjuster, I was told an hourly rate rather than a %...is this the same with yours?
