@CultureTrekking You're welcome. I was disappointed that the Mardi Gras Museum was closed, and Imperial Calcasieu Museum said they only showcase the costumes the first three months of the year. I enjoyed their Museum without the costumes tho, and we went to Crying Eagle Brewery for a tour. Lake Charles is definitely a hidden gem.

I’m from Sulphur, born and raised in downtown. Amazing to see how much it’s grown. Great seeing familiar faces! Adley (LC) is the best. I remember him as a kid. He used to be at the Children’s Museum and give history lessons.Thank you for that!!
Also, it’s just Sulphur. Not Sulphur City. You can also say City of Sulphur.
Also, there are many stoplights. Even being in NYC for almost two decades, I still consider it pretty decent size city. It was close to 40k when I left.
Creole Nature trail is the best. I remember as a kid there was an alligator they called Grandmaw. She was HUGE and was so old. I haven’t been as a kid (over 30 years ago). Looks so different.

@@CultureTrekking look, it’s freaking hard. I get it. We southern Louisianaians (especially) are very particular about it being correct. Not even full scouters and researchers from networks get it. Cajun history and culture is very precious to us and it has SO many different iterations that make us… us. That’s one thing I wish Sulphur was better about - tell all the history and not leave it to the museum that’s not really that great.
There is a lot of Louisiana history, but a lot of the storytellers are passed.
