That song reminds me of the Gong Show (tv show in the 70s) and I'll tell you why -- the show was a talent show, and sometimes in the middle of the show, bandleader Milton DeLugg would start playing "Jumpin at the Woodside", and host Chuck Barris would say, "Hey hey, it's Gene the Dancin' Machine", and stagehand Gene would come out and do some fancy sliding footwork to that tune! It was always the same tune, and half of the shows would feature Gene with that dance! So that tune brings us a lot of memories!
Dear Stephanie and Paolo, until now, the version of this tune I’ve been able to follow the best, was Count Basie playing with Oscar Peterson, Martin Drew, and NHØP, until now! ….Not only is your arrangement, execution of this tune melodic and beautiful to listen to, but highlights your wonderful capabilities, and versatility! Thank you both so much, as always.😊
I still remember seeing Count Basie's last concert in Berkeley in 1984. It was bittersweet. He was still playing great, but was definitely slowing. I think we gave him a > 5 min standing ovation at the end. Your arrangement is delightful. Count Basie would have been proud. Thank you!
По-моему, своей безупречной, слаженной игрой в четыре руки ребята демонстрируют нам простую и понятную формулу счастья. А композиция хороша! Спасибо, Паоло и Стефания!
How wonderful - once again you have enchanted my Sunday evening, thank you so much for that! Not only Count Basie's piano playing sounded before my inner ear, but his whole orchestra.
That was truly fantastic..I can’t keep up with you guys…One of my favourite Basie numbers…once again you have excelled yourselves..Bravo….Have a great week..Slainte
Bravo! Great tribute to the Count and Fats Wallers famous stride style! Enjoyed your complex and swingin' four hand arrangement! I got to dance to Basies band once in person! Awesome big band, and my favorite. And yes, he played this one. You guys are amazing! Thanks
Wishing you a groovy Sunday!🤗
Love that and I don't know why I imagine you performing it on a public piano, what a success!
Paolo has won the lottery jackpot: beauty and an unbelievable talent.
