Im genuinely happy to discover those content, I really get that nostalgia even if born in 2004. I guess I grew up with some artifacts of older tech, back when we weren't so digitalised. Back when times were easier and innocent, a real blessing.
Then I suppose this feeling is even more contrasted for you, older folks who really experienced the emergence of cameras, computers etc !

Loving the vibes mate, I've always been quite fascinated with those "mundane british scenes" you're talking about, never been in Britain but it's always had an aesthetic to it that I've never quite been able to articulate, when it comes to whether it feels homely and relatable (as in, "objectively relatable", even though I've never been there) or claustrophobic and pedestrian. And just like you said, that vibe fits the camera perfectly.
That’s lovely, I have the exact same feeling with America it's as if i've been there before and have developed a nostalgia through photos and videos of it. I remember the back in 2007 when we bought this camera, i was 6, parents used to keep it out of my reach as it was considered expensive back then

I use a Sony w800 and a Casio zs5 as my daily carries. Surprised how capable they are, most people don't remember Casio made cameras but they were often really good if not better than the big name brands ...and as a bonus I got them both for free...👍

I have this exact same camera and I take it everywhere with me, it's always in my bag! I've decided that I wanna document 2023 with it, even if the video quality is not so good (that's what makes it fun). Great video, super fun.

i recommend a camera for you that has weirdly intense vibes - the packard bell dsc-120. i found my parents' old camera buried in the cupboard, they got it free with their computer. it's quite broken but the photos that come out of it have this rich, deep grain that looks like film, with fantastic quality for a 20 year old digicam. the colour that comes out of the pictures is this intoxicatingly noxious mix of purples and greens, with dark hues that make it feel overloaded with this odd sense of nostalgia you cultivate so well. also, i love your voice!

I do like how the video looks it truly does give off the old digital camera vibes when digital cameras was still somewhat new but when I did look up cheap digital cameras to on RUclips some of them do give off the old digital camera vibes to

Im still using my Canon PowerShot A610. Bought it on 2004 i guess. Pictures are still very good, a little loss of colors. Not going to talk about the videos, because there is not much to talk about it... Old cameras are cool, and they give that early 2000s vibe.

I still have one of these cameras from the same year, a DSC S650
It was a big part of my childhood until it stopped working well and we replaced it with a samsung camera from the time, 2014 it was
I lately fixed the cybershot and it was the batteries that didn't make great contact, sanded them and it now works perfectly

i bought a 2008 JVC camcorder its really retro, got it for really cheap, its got a really sweet zoom on it too

i have that same camera, i bought it on a flea market for 20 bucks in 2012 or so. it still has my old school trip and 13th birthday photos on it. i just found it at my parents house and wanted to see if someone made some videos about it. i am so glad i found this channel. one new subscriber for you! :)

I think you did great, espicially for it to being your first video :) I just got a Sony DSC-W50, that my parents bought new back in 2006, so I'm looking forward to test it out :) The pictures you took looks great btw, but do you edit them, or are they sooc? Or, do you shoot in Auto mode, but with changed wb settings and things like that? (One of the things I don't like about using my DSLR, are all the time I end up spending editing the pictures, so as little as posible would be great, especially for a point&shoot style camera)

I also have a similar camera as yours. I tried to record a mini video but when I played it, there was no sound. I don’t know if that’s normal, and can’t find where the volume setting is.
Hmm that’s odd maybe try resetting all of the settings see if that helps

It’s actually the Thames estuary basically it’s the mouth of the river Thames and the water goes in and out with the tide 👌

Don't zoom in 😂 but no in all seriousness these old cameras don’t hold focus well when zoomed in
