Cool video! What would have been interesting is if the Pontoon Water Glide system were removed and just the Hydrofin were installed to see which of the two systems was more effective. But, I get it - not your boat to go pulling stuff off of it.

I took my pontoon. “ 20’ South Bay w/ 90 hp Suzuki” to Smith Mountain lake Virginia this week. Actually this is my last day here. Pontoon did great but took a long time crossing this lake at 22 MPH. I’m not sure what route to take… adding a 3rd toon or Hydrofin! It’s me and my wife and 4 daughters. Biggest thing for me is how strong are the fins? There are tons of sticks and boards floating in the tighter parts of the lake. I actually slit a board yesterday with my toon. What would you recommend. Take note that the two toons hold our weight just fine. I wouldn’t need more buoyancy

Are you drilling holes into the toons?

Wonder if it would work well on a lowe 185 fishnfun pontoon with a 50 hp. It’s a 1998 model.

If the motor is factory set to red line at 5200rpm how the heck is this thing going to change the factory red line to 5600rpm? Voodoo?

That is the first thing I noticed, RPM NOT the same.

The RPM’s are higher because the boat is running faster.

Some folks just aren't capable of using their noodle properly. You did a great job on this video.@@hydrofin

So, are you likely to get to red line in your car at its top speed? I've never been able to do that. Even at 175 mph, my 1991 300zx TT would not hit red line. It would at every lower gear, though. But, if I found some way to get my car to go faster, I imagine the RPMs at that speed would be higher and closer to red line.
In this case, the same boat is getting higher RPMs because it is able to go faster. Remember, the prop speed is the limiting factor, just like wind resistance and frictional losses are the limiting factor for the top speed in a car. So, not "voodoo" - just physics.
