NGL, when I tried this (the time I actually got to the spot) when I killed it's first phase, it's second phase spawned in the rock and just smacked me straight into the abyss, killing me instantly. There is now a major increase in my therapy spending
@@shadowsource6995 you have to engage it a little bit to get your summon engaged, otherwise they'll just walk around aimlessly and let you get killed running to the cliff.
I was happy when I beat him the first time. Then realized he comes back. Took a couple more tries to beat the second one and thought I was done. When I realized there are 3 phases I was pissed. But finally killed it.
Another thing they really need to fix the spirit summons, tired of seeing the mimic tear not doing anything it doesn't do anything unless I'm attacking it that is stupid the whole point of the summons is to distract the boss kind of hard to do that if they just send there
This is my biggest issue, for sure. My mimic will either stand there and just look at him or is constantly running towards me while I’m fighting for my fucking life.
That kept happening to me, so when I beat the first phase, I just kept rolling into the wall and I didn't have to do anything else. Both of the other phases died.
@@HEADBANGA34 My game is un-updatable (figure why). It should work for me and it did once. Usually I am unable to fall on the ledge at all. In the second phase it knocks me off . I have been watching other videos and perhaps I will trying defeating him the normal way.
Glad this still works! It definitely helps to ash summon Taylew the Golem Smith +10 to keep the Boss distracted long enough to get the glitch to work then dismiss Taylew. Also the 2nd/3rd phases might spawn directly on top of that spot which will cause you to fall off.
@@samchurch2197 I don’t know if it’s too late but, dropped my weight from med to light to create just a little bit more time to setup and just spammed the skill on the weapon. One time, phase 2 spawned on top of me and knocked me down. Someone mentioned crouching after phase 1 for that. Just keep trying.
3 phase boss.. If you're struggling and can't do this cheese properly try good ol' Blasphemous Blade +10, equip essential only to make sure that Mimic helps you properly. Melts him like gorgonzola.
Dude thank you so much. Literally beat him first try. After replicating the remembrance and getting the sword and respecting so I could use the sword. Literally trivialized a fight I had wasted 2 hours on.
At the last second before you fall off the cliff, move a bit forward, it helps to drop down the spot. Once you're there, spam NIHIL lol and when he dies, just move your stick forward (up) and then roll. You'll roll forward but will not drop. Keep rolling until you see his next 2 phases die. Hope this helps but the real test here is how to drop to the exact spot. Once you're there, you're good. Oh and check your health bar too, for some weird reason some thorns chomped a bit of my HP and the last one did me in.

So key is if you go left right at the very beginning of the second tree look left go to the ledge there is a rock sticking slightly out of the ground go toward it like he does slightly slow . It may take a few try’s but if you land on the sweet ledge you will know .keep walking toward it . Then you will kind of have to wait until the scad tree boss gets closer . Keep hitting him with the mogh spear . Make sure your magic is always pretty full because if you accidentally use the spear without enough magic it will knock you off. Keep hitting him and there’s no way he can knock you off I believe ! Also try not having any armor on

God Skin Peeler’s Black Flame Tornado and flame incantations helped me with this fight. Granted you have to get close and avoid the thorn attacks but after trying other weapons and incantations and decided to try this method and it worked, only took 2 more attempts and I beat it!
I couldn't get it too work past 2nd faze worked for his first faze but always hits me off ledge in 2nd... no worries still got him with blasphemous blade

You need to look out for the L-shaped part of rock on the ground. It sticks out away from the cliffside. Place yourself on the left side facing the «L» and walk slowly

Got on the ledge after about thirty attempts. As soon as I ran out of MP my character tapped the wall with the staff and i fell. Second time on ledge, first phase was cake, then he respawned down by me and knocked me off instantly. Third time on the ledge, it worked perfectly. Killed its first phase, then it just fell off for the next two phases. The absolute key factor for getting on the ledge is the camera angle. As of right now this still works.
This still works! It's difficult but once I got there I got rid of my armor and after killing the first phase I crouched and stayed until I got the Remembrance
@@joshrhoades8693 I looked for a small, red bush to the right of the drop down spot and lined myself up with a tree that is behind you if you’re looking over the ledge.
This still works!!!!! I was able do this today 8-29. What helped me was I summoned my black knight tiche this gave me more time to get to the spot. It did take a couple tries but it absolutely works. Hope this helps someone.
my experience trying this cheese on a lvl 6 sorcerer today: its possible to equip moghwyns spear, but at +0 upgrade level itll take around 3 minutes to slay the first avatar. latenna at the gate + indomitable vow + heavy loaded for the precise fall worked reliably. Also you can use a rune arc while on the ledge, to use a great rune boost. I was hoping the second one wouldnt appear, but it did, and I didnt have nearly enough flasks left to finish that one off. I tried using the FP regen talisman, but its inevitable that the avatar will eventually use an attack that knocks you off the ledge. its a shame the avatar cant bleed, i tried zamor ice storm but the casting animation knocked me off the ledge. is there any way to prevent the other avatars from spawning? whats the magic trick, Mr Guru??

After a lot tries, make sure to kill the first one like that. To prevent the second one from appearing down at your level with you, spam Mohg spear ability to one shot,
@slurpy4385 When the first one dies you use FP Flasks to bring yourself back to full while the body vanishes, then once it's gone start using the ability again counting in your mind to the 2nd one spawning and by the time the hp bar shows you will be doing so much damage that it will die off instantly.
what i found helpful is once you're in the cheese spot, position yourself so you are facing away from the arena slighlty to the right or else phase 2 will spawn on the side of the cliff and knock you down. confirmed still works as of august 13th
I didn't get faze 2, when I killed it, it's health bar came back and then went all the way down again then there was about an 8 second pause then I got the remembrance.

I've never needed to cheese a boss like this, this is ridiculous the AOE for the thorns are completely broken. it spams it and dose NOT agro my mimic targeting me the entire time. patch needed either for the mimic or the boss like wtf even is this, and bro befor you think get gud Ive 100% sekiro with demon bell and no kuro charm and am willing to prove it on discord lol this is literally just a gimic tho that practically one shots its not even a good move set and the AOE is wider than two rolls so its sorta guaranteed to get hit by
So I decided to do this on my rl1+0 after a full night of failed attempts getting to phase 3 and dying. After ~15 deaths to walking off wrong, 2 staff bonk deaths, 4 hit by thorns after I made it deaths, 1 it clipped through the wall as phase 2 spawned and killed me anyway death, I finally did it. Had to fight phase 1 with a lvl 1 and no weapon upgrades every single attempt but this was easier than learning how to deal with his triple explosion on phase 3 I am so sick of fighting this sunflower.
for anyone wondering this still works, if youre getting knocked off after killing him first phase start rolling before he spawns and keep doing it till you defeat the beast! 08/30
still works, took me about 30 tries. but it was worth it. tip: dont summon mimic tear, just keep trying cause he will spawn on top of you sometimes and push you off.
I dont know. Cheese is just as aggravating to do as fighting the boss. Think i did it 10 or 15 times. 4 got on the cliff. 1. Spawned in the rock knocking me off. 2. Accidentally pushed jump, fell off. 3. The thorns attack can most definitely hit you, got knocked off. 4. Killed it. Sometimes it will spam thorns as you run to th spot. Watch for the screen shake, once it stops shaking, dodge. Im sure theres a method to just inching your way off the edge and hitting the spot, but it was just dumb luck with me. Good luck.
I’m on NG+3 and killed him in 15 seconds with this delicious cheese 😂 Took a while to get the hang of not falling to my death but I used Taylew to keep the demon tree occupied while I found the spot 😅
Do this OR Just get the Fire Knight Greatsword and get invaded in 2 separate locations (any order) for the flame skewer weapon art . Use any Buffs (Flame grant me strength + Flame tear + Sacred Oath) .
Took several tries to find the right spot without dying. the boss was aggressive the moment I entered the room. Once I was finally in the right spot, the cheese worked first time and the second and third phases died the moment they spawned.
Totally works on current patch 1.12.3 thanks a ton!! This boss was ok to deal with on my high level character but I'm now trying to do a RL20 weapons +0 run and this saved me from the trouble of trying again and again. Messmer was hard enough already!
I made it to the ledge one time. After phase 1, it spawned above me and knocked my off of it. Wound up using my mimic with Blasphemous and took care of it.

It's a fun fight to use Mimic and experiment with fire spells. Just stay close and heal often.

If you are still struggling equip Blasphemous Blade it trivializes this boss. Spent hours prior then beat him first try with BB.

I just sprinkled his ass with some Firespark perfume. Had to do some dodging, but it definitely simplifies the gardening

I made it to the ledge one time. After phase 1, it spawned above me and knocked my off of it. Wound up using my mimic with Blasphemous and took care of it.

After each phase there's a reposte that makes the next phase lose around 1/3 of it's health

Well for some reason the tree is spawning under me on the edge
10.07 PS5, worked for me, got to the spot and crouched after killing the first phase and the next 2 phases died instantly
Just use the blasphemous blade, mimic and flame grant me strength. One left trigger attack to its face takes like half of its health
It works sometimes, it depends on the boss attacks

Not patched just worked for me, when second and third stage are engaging roll into the cliff and he dies straight away
