- Update: This particular watch was the very first production. Other buyers after initial production claimed the rotating bezel as well as the polishing inside the lugs are perfect. So Casio might have fix this as production progressed.
Alone in it's class there is hardly other divers that offers what this does. In this video you will get to know about the dark side of this all mighty diver's watch.
I own the blue bezel version with the titanium bracelet. What a gorgeous watch. I, also, do not have a wobbly bezel and I have not removed the bracelet to see the polishing. I own 83 watches of various brands, including several SEIKO models. I also have the Oceanus T-200 and S-5000 Manta. All three are amazing watches, especially in their price points. You will not go wrong buying these watches.
That's a beautiful watch! Been thinking of picking up an Oceanus for awhile, probably go with one of the smaller 100m world time models though.
They are amazing! even the cheapest oceanus still impresses me when I put it on.
Thanks for the 2 reviews on this model. I was one who was pushed to order it after your initial glowing review. I'm happy to point out though that mine doesn't have any wobble on the bezel. It's locked down with no gap between the case. When I changed the strap the polishing on the inner case between the lugs is also perfect and consistent with the zaratsu polishing around the rest of the case so no issues there as well.
The only issue I had was the second hand was misaligned to the left when I first got it and it was very noticeable specially on modes when it's meant to point to specific indicators and no hand correction option could fix it so I had to take it to my Casio repair centre who re-seated the second hand for me in 20 mins. It lines up perfect now.
I also swapped out the stock rubber strap because of my small 6.25 inch wrist i didn't like how it flared out at the lugs and I found the deployment clasp to be very bulky on the wrist and has some wobble when locked in which didn't really give me confidence on how secure it was.
Other than those it's still a watch I enjoy very much in weekends and can definitely stand toe to toe with any modern MRG I've owned.
Thanks again!
Thanks a lot for this info. I bought this watch as soon as it came out so probably the first production was flawed and it gets fixed as time progresses. That tend to happen with products in general.
What country was that Casio repair center in which accepted to work on a JDM Oceanus?
Absolute beauty of a watch!
Thank you for this update on this watch.
When would you ever need 600m water resistance?
Are you interested in selling the original strap and buckle?
