Was not expecting such an extreme fuzz from TC, this is actually pretty rad.
I bet some electric wizard riffs would sound great through this
PP TheSailor it works perfectly for the FZ-2 era EW sound. This thing is right in line with my BATW Badascan, Mr Black Matamp Pre, Boneshaker Distortion. It dooms.
found this thing in a guitar center deal with two of the new TCE pedals for $100 total. Some of the best $50 i ever spent, this thing rips hard.
bought after this video. this pedal delivers everything it says it does. when the tone is too the left the tone is rounder, to the right more.... square. simple simple stupid simple. great score! i have had fuzz pedals 4x this that went right back to the store. this new line of pedals is outstanding nice job pedals and effects and great job tc electronics!

Just my opinion but this sounds way better on the guitar than the basses. Loses so much low end and gets too shrill. But could just be my headphones.
John Danek definitely agree. It was too much on the bass. Really cool pedal though. Very simple.

Just got mine today. I like the sound a lot but there is a very annoying and noticeable lag/delay when engaging the pedal. Is this common or did I just get a faulty unit?

It's not a lag, the switch works on the release. The lag you're hearing is the time before you take your foot off, if you take your foot off the pedal faster it'll switch faster.
eyeball226 Yes, so I realised after a while. It just felt a bit weird/unnatural since I’ve never had a pedal engage at the release of the switch as opposed to when hitting the switch. Didn’t really work for me since I’m also a singer so I sold it and bought a ZVEX Fuzzolo instead. Wouldn’t mind the rusty fuzz in a smaller enclosure with a “normal” footswitch though...
@@boyomega It's certainly unusual for it to switch on release, but I'm not sure I understand the relevance of you singing? You mean you just have less spare attention to spent on remembering this one is backwards? I don't actually have this fuzz but I have another pedal from this series so I just got used to putting my foot on it in advance of switching and then lifting my foot "in time". Definitely took a bit of getting used to though!
eyeball226 Yes, I guess after 25 years or so of pressing switches on pedals to get the sound I want at that exact time I just couldn’t get into this one being “backwards”. When it comes to singing, playing guitar and using pedals in a live situation, I don’t want my mind being occupied with technical stuff. I’d much rather be one with the song if you know what I mean?

Okay. Why does mine not sound like that? I haven't heard my rusty fuzz recorded straight up like that tho. But in person, it sounds like pure dee shit to me. At least going through my peavey classic 50w combo it sounded bad. Idk, mine just doesn't sound that Gated and abusive.
