Wow 🤩 how sweet to run a 787B engine. Got RX7 swapped and now this tune!! Headphones 🎧 + Volume Max I don’t care if wins or loose lol 😂 Thanks buddy ✌️😍
I’ve been doing the same thing but for sardena. It’s been fun working on cars now that we have the engine glitch going. Currently working on a tune on my LT swapped Miata
Thanks so much for this tune, the engine swap is so good but the tune takes it to another level. I'm hoping you have more rotary tunes in the pipework after this one, they're all so flexible but really need a good tune with the 787b engine specifically
I tried your tune and liked it. On Fuel Map 1 and with TCS to 0 the raw power and sound and the car over all is a joy to drive. Somehow the game let me pack a bit more horsepower under 600PP, won't complain about that. Also I swapped IM tires at the end of the testing run and the rain was a lot shorter than I expected so I had some extra fun destroying those tires in final 2 laps haha
My tune is similar to a GR.4 car, high downforce so that it’s balanced for all tracks, also lower to the ground for more stability. Also when I first tried the tune, the gearing was too long so I had to adjust it. The 700pp/GR.4 setup was the first thing I thought of doing to the rx7 after I swapped the engine
I copy your settings to the new rx8 787b swap. Slight changes with a 6 speed and i like running it with turbo. 520hp, little less weight and 6 speed. I love it
Great Engine Swap build but it took me until 2nd lap to catch the leading pack (Top 3)? Don’t know if I did something wrong from changing my set up or driving manual transmission on my standard controller or could try to save up for the Older spec Rx7 engine swap build
@@Voss44 Did the whole race on fuel map 4 and plenty of fuel left. I think 3 is also doable with some short shifting . Awesome ride and tune, great work.
@@Voss44 They gonna Fix tha brake colors and take away the Free Tickets so its all good for now. I miss my red brakes lmao hahah ;D I did like tha video tho!!! for tha Analytics
FYI: Doing this build on 1.38 the car is PP is only coming in at 683.36. I’m also unable to push the front Aero past 100, which seems to be the primary value lacking. Are you possibly running wide wheels or something not covered here?
This tune is specifically geared for Le Mans (long straights, etc.). You can use the tune on other tracks but you should shorten/lengthen your gear ratios for sure. As for 800PP; you can get it there and I have - but I don't think the car handles great and there are better options. So yeah you can use it at 800PP if you want, but the 787B would just be a better option overall and give you much better results.
Honestly, it's not a great tune for Sardegna so I haven't put a vid together on it. The car doesn't brake/corner near as well as any of the others so you lose a lot of time on the corners. Any tune I put out I want to be tried/tested so it's a sure thing! I don't mind sharing if if you want to mess around with it, can post it in the discord if needed.
Hi Voss, loving there tunes. Could I get a link to your discord. Would enjoy some further discussion regarding tunes and set ups for some of my cars. Got a league coming up and hoping to utilise your experience 🙏
Just wondering, why don’t you run a turbo? With the high rpm turbo fitted it’s still under 700, just wondering if there’s a reason, thanks! edit: nvm I see why now, I forgot I didn’t put on racing hards lmao
I've got one done, but it's kind of hard to find a good track for it. It's not powerful enough to run Tokyo 600 from what I can see, or not easily anyways. What performance points are you looking for?
Guys I’ve got a question I currently have a rx7 with a ultra high turbo installed, if i do the 787b swap, will i loose the turbo or will it be carried over to the new engine? Thank you
No, but it might be doable. You'll have enough power and fuel economy would be fine - it's just not great at braking and fairly tough to handle. I built a tune with a corvette ZL1 which works in Sardega - actually beat it. But it's a massive pain in the arse against that viper. I'm sure it's possible to run it in Sardegna - just not a great option because as much as you have the engine you don't have the same power/weight ratio or the handling of a race car. 800PP get's pretty limiting.
@@Voss44 brilliant. Good to see a useful track tune instead of the multitude of useless “top speed” tune videos for it everywhere. Keep up the good work
Why is the 4 rotor putting out under 500 Hp when it should be at 700 Hp (on a conservative tune....in real life, power could have been increased up to 900 Hp for thr LeMans race). My '93 FD on sequential twins and water-meth injection is putting out 440 rwhp....more than the 787 quad rotor in this engine swap. Why is it so anemic on the game?
@@Voss44 it wont stay on the road no matter how light i drive. Im very heavy footed so maybe its just me. But some cars in this game still just drive like im on Butter Hards tires. No matter how stiff i make the suspension, going as farout with lsd as possible either way, putting weight on the front or back, grip is just non existent on it. Im pretty confident in blaming the game over my, lets call it "aggressive", driving skils. Because i can use a gr.3 or a modern Porsche 911. And turning as hard as i can will keep it planted to the track. But if i use a road car or an older model of the same car, suddenly all it wants to do is donuts. The 787b rx8 is the worst at this. And for some reason even if i try to catch the back end, its like the front wheels have no turning power. Even when im only going like 60 mph and i turn back very sternly, the car just slowly bottoms out and im powerless to stop it.
@@RayTheomo I've got a stock tune done for it, I can drop it in the discord if you want. Might be a good starting point. I'd imagine you'd need to crank up the differential and add a bunch of downforce to make it work though. But yeah even the RX7 is hard to control, it's a beast of an engine.
