      With some architects building exact to spec 3D models, I'm sure it's only a matter of time until there's interactable 3D models with fade away pieces that let you move things around or dig into them further for visuals with build specs through AR. The firm I work for builds out 3D models of brick walls for instance, exactly as it's to be built. It looks like a simple 3D model of a brick wall but you can dig into it and every, single thing is modeled to spec on the inside. Same goes for everything else, brick wall is just an example since it was one of our first ones we did like that.

    Impressive but very wary of the implications for the owner, the builder & yourself if you came to grief because of the use of the goggles (if there was a site manager present I don't think you would have been allowed on the roof). Does the drone relay images direct to the headset and does the headset have a camera (I'm guessing not) ?

      I'm not an early adopter, always waiting until products are refined more before buying, but imagine gen 3-4 of the vision. Eventually battery, chip and material tech will make these no different than a pair of sunglasses almost. I think they'll look like those wrap around sunglasses, still a bit bulky compared to normal glasses but way lighter and less bulky. I use VR/PCVR a lot but there's no way I'm wearing a VR/AR headset out and about until then. It was sad google glasses never made more headway but the tech is slowly getting there.

    I love tech too and while this was entertaining i found it an interesting opportunity to also use tech in real time. Ie searching for then clearance requirements via voice within seconds on any old dunga phone. Google assistant immediately provided the manual. Microsoft Co-pilot (aka chat gpt 4) gave a spoken and worded summary of the requirements and also tied that to the NCC with citations and links.
    Maybe if you tie cutting edge technology (dunno if you can install those things on the goggles?) that combo would be good. I would assume Siri is on the AVP but that's completely useless as is well known.

      Good video editing software should be able to smooth this out a fair bit, at the loss of some resolution

    • @martinXY
      @martinXY 6 месяцев назад

      @@Gomisan "should". It can't, it won't.
      If you're, say, walking in a straight line with a GoPro on your head (and no in-camera stabilisation), the stabilisation software analyses the image to see where certain trackable points are moving then uses those as reference points to keep the whole image in place.
      If your head is moving all over the place, the software can't tell the difference between accidental movement that must be corrected and deliberate movement that needs to be allowed. If it could tell the difference, then it wouldn't be able to stabilise it because there's no constant reference points to fix on to as your head bobs and weaves and turns.

    Maybe most of the tradies have been building using an AVP too, it explains so much 😂
    You'll need to detach your head and put it on gimbal😂
    If you were in the EU you could do an episode on Apple....."no compliant" 🤣

    Hi
    Just would like to say man I can't believe the amount of short cuts some of these so called builder's are taking.
    I have done a lot of trade assistance work in my time and can gladly say the company's that I worked for did have extremely high standards.
    Love your attention to detail.
    Finger's crossed everything crossed these faulty workmanship supplies can be a thing of the past
    It's not fair that these people are paying huge budget's to get work done and not being up to basic standards.
    Crazy.
    Keep up the great work with your inspections.
    I love it.

    Apple Vision Pro is good for your job but the RUclips viewer gets a poorer quality product when compared to your other videos.

    Wow, that is pretty sweet. Seeing augmented 3D CAD models would be a mint usage for this. What thoughts on OH&S issues with any limited view whilst walking around a work site?

    I'd assume using the apple vision pro as safety goggles on a jobsite would be in breach of the OH&S act. They probably haven't been tested to see if they meet PPE standards either.
    Do your best, then safety squint the rest 😂

    this is definitely the future and i g2b honest, the video is amazing, however... I feel like the cameras despitebeing good, are unfortunately not great and you may perhaps miss some details. The camera is also shaky, and overal it will cause eyes fatique, however the biggest concern now I think is you shouldnt be climbing roofs in these, this is dangerous, its still a camera feed, not your real sight, imagine you missed a step and fell :O

  • @JohnArgyrew
    @JohnArgyrew 6 месяцев назад

    Send them back to apple, the day will come when you are on a roof and forget you have them on and walk right off the roof. If you have a family that depends on you, you don't need this shit. Stick to the I pad I believe you have to to be a special kind of stupid to use a device like this in your industry. no need to reinvent the wheel. You a performing a great service and helping many, stay healthy. Bin it because one day someone will do a video on the building inspector falling off roof. Right now you have the world by the balls don"t f#uck it up over a gimmick. Does this devise keep you compliant in your daily O H S responsibilities. The details and the fine print gets you every time, sometimes you have to be a grown up, and lead by example, think it through, and if this is an asset to your business purchase more and more power to you. This is not a personal attack by any means just a differing point of view, family before dollars and good health. I echo most comments great work and being there for every day people that don't understand our industry and roll over when things get tough. Kind Regards John

    Bro I love that the technology is easy for you but it’s a nightmare to watch you can’t focus your eyes on anything long enough before you move again. It’s made me so nauseous and hurting my eyes watching the video. The close up clarity is half of your normal camera and you can’t read anything at all that you put up on your screen it’s not only too small but it’s blurry and I’m watching this on my 65 inch television like always. I’m kinda devastated because I won’t be able to watch and share your videos anymore if you use this apple headset 🍏 up until now you’re videos have been so educational and amazing but I just can’t watch them again it’s really a nightmare for the viewers at home I’m sitting here watching with two other people and they can’t watch anymore either it’s giving them a headache. Such a shame. 😢

    Imagine some kid come along on a scooter wearing an Apple Vision, and runs right into them. He be like WTF is this?

    lol at least take pictures with the Vpro too ....u don't need a phone in your hand .....there is also a browser that can be pinned to u and not in the world ....also there is an app that is pretty neat for measuring things ...so compare it to a laser ruler and compare pics to the iphone
    .....wait or maybe u can't take a picture because Vpro was already filming

    I really appreciate the creativity behind the video and enjoy the content. However, the constant movement and shaky nature of the footage made it difficult for me to continue watching without feeling a bit queasy. It might be beneficial to consider using some editing software to stabilize the video, enhancing its visual appeal and making it easier on the eyes for viewers.

    That's how we used to do it in the seventies 😂.

    The use of foam just annoys the hell out of me. I miss seeing old school full brick homes, a nice sturdy brick home with a nice tiled roof nonetheless. Not this foam here, bit of brick there, add some cladding to make it look 'pretty' and the tin roofs are meh. Horrible sound if it hails.

    You must have been working with this for a while, because you are really good and fast with it. I think it could be a great tool, but it is hard for some of us to keep up with the screen changes, overlays, etc. Let's see where it goes.......
