I love Rose with the doctor. Don’t get me wrong, I love her with 10 but her dynamic with 9 was so realistic. They laughed together, they fought together, they mourned together and they brought out the best in each other. I hear too many fans say their love story started with 10, don’t kid yourself, they were clearly in love with each other during 9’s era. He sent her back to protect her and condemning himself in the process. She cried and fought hard to come back and save him, consuming the vortex of the Tardis which would kill her. That is deep love from both sides.

The way he says 'That's what I see! All the time!' is so touching. It's like this childlike happiness, pure relief that another living soul feels the way he does. Nine is underrated. I love Nine, especially when he shows his more gentle and playful side.
I am an absolute 9 fangirl! He is mature, but still so charming and sweet. He is very warm, protective, but also very sassy and bossy. I for one find that much more likeable.

He's just faced the Daleks in the toughest battle of his life, watched hundreds of people die, watched the woman he loves do something extremely dangerous to save him, has absorbed the vortex to save her, and is about to regenerate and become a new man, with no guarantee that he will still love her the way he does (though thankfully the Tenth Doctor DID), but right then none of that matters, because she's there, and she's safe, and at that moment, nothing else in the world seems to matter.
I love how badass Rose is in this, just obliterating all the Daleks and bringing Jack back to life. I also love how the Doctor kisses her and gently catches her when she faints it's so cuuuuute!
How far it's all fallen. Go back and watch Season 1 again. Look how down to Earth it all is, that's why it worked. That's why 9 is my favorite, he put the real humanity, soul and conflict into this character.
yes omg thank you. it's still a cool and fun show, but the HEART is gone. the show is now a caricature of the early seasons, especially everything 9 was as the doctor. like this was heart wrenching, i still sob every time and i crave going back to see it. there's been nothing close to this since moffat, chibnall etc took over. its so hard to explain but its definitely not real anymore.
In s3, Ten tells Jack that Rose made him immortal because the power was too great for her, she couldn't control it. But I don't think that's exactly it. Rose cared deeply for Jack and I think her intention was simply, "I don't want him dead, I want him alive." When you care about someone, even if you know realistically that they will die someday, in your heart of hearts you don't want them to-you want them to live forever. Rose's heart of hearts said "I want him to live forever," and while *she* didn't mean it literally, that's how the Heart of the TARDIS took it. Rose's heart + TARDIS' understanding of Rose's heart = immortal Jack Harkness.
"I want you safe. My Doctor." "Come here. I think you need a Doctor." These two lines are some of my absolute favourites, and they kind of conpliment each other. His was a reponse to hers.❤
It's been 19 years, and I don't think I'll ever get over the Doctor and Rose. The way Rose's voice cracks when she reveals to the Doctor that she can "See everything. All that is, all that was, all that ever could be. " This was Rose seeing the Doctor inside out. I doubt anyone knows him any better, than Rose did in that moment. And she also knows he's about to regenerate, to save her. And that one day she will marry him, and spend the rest of their lives together.
God, I was 12 years old, hugging my cushion, almost foaming at the mouth and biting the sofa when I saw this for the first time! All that relationship build up, all that hoping this would be the episode when they kiss. As soon as they kissed I actually screamed!
When this happened i screamed so loud "YESSSS" and then the doctor regenerated and i was like "NO WHYYYYYYY?" And my dad was looking at me like: dafuq? 0.o

Billie Piper and Christopher Eccleston did a better job ever. This duo was perfect. They revived Doctor Who and all subsequent success is partly due to them. And, obviously, to all team of creators, but this duo is face of team. IMHO, of course, but love them very much. Rose is perfect.
this is probably the first time since who knows how long that the doctor has embraced his identity as a doctor and not a warrior... and we know how much it affects him to hear he's considered NOT a doctor in "A Good Man Goes To War"....

My favorite thought about this scene is the brief moment from when the Tardis doors opens to reveal Bad Wolf in all her glory and then she seems to merely teleport just the tiniest distance forward. In my mind, the Bad Wolf is, in that sliver of time, heading out on a quest through all of space and time. Carrying out all but the penultimate actions of her time as a time goddess. This includes, in my mind, her actually becoming 'The Moment' featured later on. So, the story of this scene is both the birth and death of a Time God built out of Tardis and Human aspects. A being whose existence ends, after an unknowable span, in the arms of the version of the Doctor it loved & returning his Rose to him.

He started to grow show much on me, hebecome my fave doctor and rose his companion. This episode and scene became and always will be my fave ever out of all the episodes/shows. And when she manages to save him, she is still capable to show her humanly side (by raging against the Daleks and by resurrecting Jack for example) They tried to replicate this super companion with Clara, tho the way she was supposedly everywhere and invincible was too stretched.

This scene makes me imagine if Rose really became a half human & half time lord like Donna Noble & River Song The way 9th doctor kiss Rose to absorb the time vortex energy reminds me of the ending of sleeping beauty & snow white which had a prince kiss both of them to wake them up from the sleeping/poison curse
I think the writing in this finale is at its best, of all the modern who finales. Tennant and Capaldi hold their place as my favourite doctors but Eccleston did such a beautiful job with Billie Piper the loml and dear god what a beautifully written season.

Don’t get me wrong, I love 10, he’s probably my favorite doctor, but 9 holds a special place in my heart. 9 was my first doctor. (I didn’t/don’t have access to old who)
No. Rose opened the Tardis up to talk to it. It allowed her to look into the time vortex and get all this power to save the Doctor. She then used that power to leave the Bad Wolf messages knowing they are what prompted her to that moment because she had already lived it. She also seems to have put it in places in the future as an indicator she had seen this moment like Bad Wolf Bay. She also used the power to bring Jack back and who knows what else.
The Bad Wold created Rose Tyler. Rose Tyler is the Bad Wolf. Rose Tyler created Donna Noble. Donna Noble is the Doctor. The Doctor Donna. The Doctor Donna cannot exist. Donna Noble has been saved.

This scene makes me imagine if Rose really became a half human & half time lord like Donna Noble & River Song
The way 9th doctor kiss Rose to absorb the time vortex energy reminds me of the ending of sleeping beauty & snow white which had a prince kiss both of them to wake them up from the sleeping/poison curse

I think the writing in this finale is at its best, of all the modern who finales. Tennant and Capaldi hold their place as my favourite doctors but Eccleston did such a beautiful job with Billie Piper the loml and dear god what a beautifully written season.

I wish we had more of Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. 3.37 I'd completely forgotten that tune/music was. from the first season. I thought it was from Tennant's reign.
Don’t get me wrong, I love 10, he’s probably my favorite doctor, but 9 holds a special place in my heart. 9 was my first doctor. (I didn’t/don’t have access to old who)

I grew up watching Eccleston's era, simply put, he is like my second favourite doctor, David Tennant be in the first

No. Rose opened the Tardis up to talk to it. It allowed her to look into the time vortex and get all this power to save the Doctor. She then used that power to leave the Bad Wolf messages knowing they are what prompted her to that moment because she had already lived it. She also seems to have put it in places in the future as an indicator she had seen this moment like Bad Wolf Bay. She also used the power to bring Jack back and who knows what else.
