I this case I believe it's only a montage of Luke remembering with Unsaid Emily as background music, I don't think he was singing it
Unsaid Emily always makes me cry, especially when the lights show up from the tv and you know they just learned their son died, but the first time I really started crying when I first watched the show was when the rest of the band was playing it with him it just really made their friendship real
I agree with everything else, except that they weren't watching TV. Mitch was reading a book and Emily was knitting and the other flashbacks show the front of their house has big windows. The police showed up at their house and since they had not seen or heard from Luke they guessed what it was about.
The real conflict in this show is between Luke and sleeves.

@@makenzieanderson8256 The decision wasn't made by just the hire-ups. The actor and actress who play the characters said that they wouldn't feel comfortable with it. How far they do or do not go will depend heavily on their comfort levels, which is how it should be.

For like a teenage tv/Netflix show, this is absolutely one of my favorites of all time. I LOVE their singing. Especially Charlie’s. The songs are amazing and so emotional with the story. You can tell they both have naturally great voices and I can’t wait to see what else Mads learns to refine her voice even more.

Stand tall is so much more meaningful when you realise Julie thought the boys had disappeared forever and they had to break through Caleb’s curse to perform with Julie. Also when Luke was flickering he was fighting to stay alive and could of been destroyed by the jolts

Honestly, I love how much thought was put into this show - even the wardrobe has meaning and backstory. Julie's sparkly dress, for example, was made by her mother just before her mother died and this was the first time Julie could bring herself to wear it (according to the costume designer).
