Elliot, I have had a lot of stress lately and anger at myself for not managing certain things properly and this video somehow came at a right time for me to watch, thank God for this beautiful day and thank you for your video.
As a fellow veteran I've suffered many bouts with anger over time as people in society exercised their free will versus the absolutes we followed in the service, and thus found myself triggered quite frequently. I had managed to get it under control until my wife of 21 years passed a little of a year ago, and my dark passenger showed back up. I'm working through it, but some credit to you, because your channel provides some great content I'm able to use NOW. God Bless!
Nah I don't know about that. A common side effect of people taking large testosterone doses is to have shorter fuses, greater tempers 'roid rage'. Testosterone and masculinity are pretty damn intertwined
@@jez6821 being aggressive and ready for battle is a masculine trate being annoyed and getting upset and bitching is a feminine one . The thing you have to control aggression (if you are an aggressive person) especially on steroids or you end up a fucking animal
You can't hold that power reaction mode for too long. I've been there so many time. It works sometime and sometime it's necessary. But at a certain point you realize it doesn't give you the best results in the long term at least for yourself and your health. Then pops up the necessity to manage your feeling, reactions and energy. Because you just have a certain limited amount of energy. No living being can live always in a fight or flight mode. And anger is a bad fuel. That space is where YOU choose and not anyone else ... Very important basic subject thanks Elliott ...
This is me. Yes, controlled aggression. Tired of losing control. Ok to act with feeling, not out of feeling, in the moment of stimulus and response. I know better.
If you ever feel the need to scare another person, it is your ego. Anything dealing with fear is ego based. Anything and everything. Beyond the ego-self, the thought of fear does not exist, and so too the concept of safety. Security is just a tool that fear uses to gain control. What is there to fear?
The daughter thing!🖐😤🧐🤭 I've been working on it for the last 6 years or so myself 😬 I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU FEEL 😤😤😤 My LORD AND SAVIOR CARRIES ME THROUGH. WORSHIP AND PRAYER 🤗 I sing to my Lord with all my heart, with Piano or guitar and he Touches my entire being and gives me peace and wisdom❤
I was raised by some one who didn't give a fuck about me and had a bunch of clown representations of men i was suppose to inspire to be. Because of that i have been in the two out of three of the dead ends for men, and since i don't want to die just yet i keep that dangerous of me locked away. I was honestly afraid i would be asked to real hurt someone or get in to a position where i would have to for the wrong reasons.I don't think i can be considered dangerous, but control is a mindset that when practiced it's enough you can also know when it is and isn't necessary.
Be a ravenous beast but don’t act like one. Reserve it for very special and appropriate occasions, I agree completely that the best men are terrifyingly dangerous. As Jordan Peterson said “rabbits are harmless, and they only get eaten”
You got a birthday coming up soon, huh? Early Happy Birthday, Elliott. You inspire the $%@! out of us, may you continue to for another 40+ years. God Bless you and yours.

I have slight anger issues at times more so when people waste my time which includes my time money, since money is time. As an Aries moon on semen retention it can come quick, but I normally laugh it off quick. Not good to hold onto anger for too long. This is why fasting is key too. Eating food will create anger, almost like feeding our inner demons that we may not even be that consciously aware of until you get into a three day or more fasted state.
kids: my own tack on such "speak your argument, make your points, ask your questions; but you do so in proper voice tone, without stomping or physical gestures, without disrespect; because in life, you have to successfully navigate such with teachers, landlords, bosses, supervisors, customers, cops..."
It’s funny because i have the exact opposite problem. My father is very controlled and never showed me signs of out of control behaviour (he was in the military for 20 years as well) and my problem since idk how long is I have never been able to feel what it’s like to be out of control, i have come close to it but there is some sort of bar situated in my heart that naturally stops me from getting out of control and idk how to stop it from doing that, any tips ? Because I want to feel my full uncontrolled raw power to know what im capable of and not once have i been able to access it.
I don’t have any advice but I just wanted to leave a comment to say I relate 100%. Most angry I’ve ever been is frustrated. Never been enraged. If I ever get even remotely close to feeling rage, it’s as if I naturally experience the emotion from a third person perspective, which automatically makes me calm and in control. Spoke with some friends before and expressed the same desire as you. It’d be cool to experience unbridled rage at some point, just to see what it’s like. But I also think we have a superpower at our disposal with our natural composed temperament. Don’t look at it negatively. I think it’s a good thing
Give boxing, muay thai, or any combat sports a try. Getting jabbed in the face is a good way to elicit some emotions. It also teaches you how to hold space for your anger and aggression and use it in a productive way.
Its like when Eddie Hall fought Thor Bjornson, Eddie lost because he fought out of anger, Thor was strategic and smart about it. I think that when anger really gets to you, you can breathe through it anymore, you have to physically release it. I find that chopping wood or working out is a good way to do so and also takes advantage of the power it brings you.
So Elliott does this mean that women have a lesser window? I have seen a number of women make rash decisions based on emotion..is rational thought the possession of men only?? 🤔 or only alphas?
With all due respect Elliot I get a lot out your videos but do you think just lifting weights makes you a more dangerous man?? because you have a lot of strength i know it's not street fighting but I have done sparring against some bodybuilder type guys at boxing soon as you hit them hard in the face they crumble! Or because you do more strongman type training it makes you more dangerous? Great video

I would HIGHLY recommend seeking out Stoicism channels and reading many of the great philosophers. Was life altering for me.
Yo elliot, miyamoto musashi is your guy. The book of 5 rings(go rin no sho) and the dokkodo are must reads 🙏
Nice recommendation
Just read it for the second time last month. Amazing how much you learn from each read. You notice more each time you go through it.
Thanks for getting his name right, Elliot was just butchering it
Or just read some Marcus Aurelius
