I’ve lost 38 pounds in 3 months with other additional improvements to my health. It’s definitely as process of learning and application…. But it’s been the best change to my diet in my 52 years of life. Everyone around me can’t believe the changes…. But cannot fathom eating meat primarily…. I’m leading by example and know time will do the rest to help others around me.

Im 7 years keto 6 years carnivore. Off of 4 long term meds within 3 months of keto. Lost 55lbs in 6 months and kept it off for 12 years.

Darn. I paused the video to see where you practice. Chicago is too far from the mId-Atlantic where I live. I would love to be a patient in your practice. Sigh. I need a doctor who understands these things. My doctor is convinced I’m about to suddenly fall over dead from eating all that meat. I can’t explain to her how fantastic feel as an old gal. She can’t hear it. I think she’s a vegan. She’s got that kinda puny look going on.

Great video, Dr. Hampton. However, as a Type 2 diabetic, I am very confused. You mentioned that the American Diabetes Association now recognizes the low carb/keto diet. Why in the heck is the ADA, to this very day, STILL promoting their "9 inch plate" protocol for optimal diabetes nutrition? I just reviewed this "9 inch plate" advice and it actually calls for a whopping 75% of our daily calories in the form of CARBOHYDRATES!!!!!!!!!
I know this can be very confusing, but they recommend low-carb as one of the possible options and they never really specifically tell you which diet to choose
Watch the testimonies on the No Carb Life channel, so many people reversed type 2 diabetes with the carnivore diet.
You have to eat that much carbohydrate in order not to have a hypo event from the medications. They expect you to balance this with your insulin.
@@Mrs.TJTaylor Hypoglycemia is generally caused by having too much insulin or medication. When we reduce carbohydrates without reducing the medication, the risk increases. The goal is to get off medication for type 2 diabetes. This can be done within weeks with a low-carb, keto, or carnivore diet. I've seen plenty of patients have hypoglycemia after taking medications and not eating carbs.
@@DrTonyHampton I’ve seen it too. But I do think it’s why a high carb diet is recommended for insulin users. You should see what kind of heavy carb food they give my diabetic friend when he’s in the hospital, all so he can handle the whopping dose of insulin he takes. It’s all completely backwards.

I’ve pursued a low-carb way of eating since 2017. Holy smokes! That’s a long time. I lost weight early, then leveled off, then lost some more, then leveled off… I finally reached my goal by reducing the amount of fat I was eating. This is a fantastic way to feed yourself. There was no denial of pleasure and eating, you just learn which foods to eat frequently.
At first, I was so determined to shed body fat, but I didn’t put a single shred of starch or sugar in my mouth for what turned out to be nine months. During that time, my skin tags disappeared, my energy increased, my face looks better, And I felt so much better in every way. I can still remember reaching for one more morsel of a dish, but as the fourth approached my mouth, I felt satiated, and decided to put the food back down on the plate. What do you discover is real satisfaction and fullness without feeling stuffed
People sometimes think that it’s expensive to eat this way, but if you’re not buying the potato chips, the ice cream, the pretzels,… The pizza, your hard income goes to pay for quality, protein, and vegetables. It’s not nearly as expensive as you might think because of all the money you’re saving not buying junk food.
If you have any doubt, I said, go for it. What do you have to lose? Just a lot of weight.

My parents keep insisting that you need carbs. I said to them the only carbs we need are fruit and raw honey. They think oatmeal, cereal, bread, pasta, rice, muffins are all healthier than meat and eggs.
Carbs are simply put not essential
type 2 diabetes also throws a lot of sugar into the blood stream from the liver. would not be suprised if this could keep u out of ketosis for a long time.

@@DrTonyHampton it sounds weird I know. It's based on my experience. I wasn't able to enter ketosis on t2d without medication within 2 weeks. With metfornin i was in ketosis after 3 days.

Regarding calories and carbs I've noticed since going carnivore it's difficult to eat 3,000 to 5,000 calories. In fact the most calories I've had is 2,300. I was quite sated. BTW, only 5 carbs on that day.
