    Improved Sandworms are really strong. Only had one game using them so far, but they were 100% my main win condition in that game.

    The crawler nerf also means lv2 crawler are one shot by level 1 sledges

    Larvae got an Attack DECREASE, not an increase. You said increase in the video, but I guess they tried to make them survive longer while not making them OP by nerfing atk.

      It's a buff, it's less attack per damage, but more DPS.
      Lets take 10 seconds for example:
      10/2.5 (seconds) = 4 attacks in 10 seconds
      4 * 1244 = 4976 DPS
      10/2 (seconds) = 5 attacks in 10 seconds
      5 * 1027 = 5135 DPS
      So it's a buff
      EDIT: it's not a 21% buff though, like you said in the video

      @@greuju I am talking about the WORDING of Surrey. The text literally states it DECREASES ATTACK, but Surrey read it as increases attack. I know its a dps buff, just wanted to tell him the reading mistake. I was never talking about the change itself, thats why I agree with the other poster.

    They should have increased the price of anti air barrage for fortress, it’s so strong. But I guess with the fortress hp nerf they wanted to reduce the cases for melting point so fortress can be countered in more ways and at the same time lower melting point hp

      It's strong yea but wf is a big counter. And i feel like phoenix or even wasp would be too strong if it is nerfed

      It's not that strong if you do it right. To beat fort aa you just have to take a tower down with shield wasps and wraith with degen or HP. You can't rely on overlords
      3 packs of wasps can kill a fortress without losing too much especially with speed spec or temp speed.

    I think the scorps will also get better in the meta, just like the wraith. They beat the sledges and other medium units, even fortress if this continues but I pray for badgers every game or I will get swarmed by crawlers at the same time and they become useless

    I feel like the Fortress and the Melting point should swap attack ranges (fortress from 100 to 115 and MP from 115 to 100). I think the fortress should be the bigger marksmen unit

      its a very complex game and during the early access, it changes quite rapidly. Can one truly even learn it?

    I dont see crawlers that dominant around 1.1k elo. What do you guys do at the top? Do you commit more into crawlers like leveling them and what perks do you pick? I often just pick one perk, either replicate or that speed buff/dmg absorption. I ask because I never level my chaff.

      every game just devolved into wraith mirror so no one can utilize crawlers

    You said the only thing that counters crawlers is wraiths but it feels like every board just gets a ton of fire badgers for free and they incinerate crawlers.
    When you say sledges are good do you mean sledges you level up and get techs on or the kind of sledges that you just have a bunch of lvl 1 and they act as chaff clear mostly

      yea fire badgers are very op, but you cant unlock them.
      Well sledges at the start are very strong and sometimes they instantly level and you will win many rounds in a row. How the unit drops work is that they are a comeback mechanic to the board. So what happens is that the enemy is bleeding health every round and needs to unlock a big counter to the sledges and then you will get the counters counter for free. How to use the sledges differ from board to board. Sometimes you sell them when the counter comes, sometimes you use them as chaff clear. I don't think like highly teched and leveled sledges are good but theres certainly boards for that as well. Especially with the extended range card

      Sledges have been very strong after the crawler buff i think. Fort was a big counter for them and war factory was even bigger. They are a very strong tempo unit in the early game and the free units heavily favor tempo plays. When giants get weaker the sledges will shine

    does the crawler change do anything? most units one shot them already, but a lot of shots miss. HP change does nothing except against maybe fangs?

      i think now sledges one shot lev2 crawlers and cost control arclights one shot crawlers. also mustangs and vulcan and fire etc. clear a lot faster and its a big nerf to leveled crawlers overall

      @@SurreyEZ imma low mmr 1v1 (1100-1200) player, just started playing a month ago, and i can say i don't care much for the free units. Things like the Typhoon, Fire badgers and so on should be put in for purchase , damn that would almost make it a new game......

    Don't arclights farm crawlers? I always feel bad promoting crawlers into arclights because you're just feeding them so much exp.

      yes but after the charged shot nerf the arclight is not covering enough enemy board types and can be abused a lot I feel like

      They hold the line soooo well. It's between them and balls for tough line units. Idk which is better tbh. Balls have shorter range which makes them.better imo. They are also less vulnerable to AOE. But hammers have an extra body so they are way tougher vs single target.

      the high mmr ladder already full of sledge massers, took 5 days for them to figure it out though

    Don't know how you can casually say sledge op... as far as I can see, it can be good in some situations, mostly aggro. Definitely NOT generally OP

      it's a very strong starting unit that will win all early rounds. Then it is kept in check by fortress, factory and crawler. It's a very thin line with the current/maybe coming nerfs

    The only thing that can kill Crawlers is wraiht and sledge? Man has never hear of Vulcans (+ incendiary rockets) or Storms + Fire ... Not a lot you can do about it, and you are forced to go Factory or Sabertooth interceptor route (what a opponent can anticipate and ...) ... And Vulcan + incendiary is extra nasty because they tend to work at short range also, and overwhelm the 100 credit interceptors easily. Or the oil + vulcan combo... or the oil + firestorm or vulcan + oil or firestorm by itself or ...
    Killing small units is darn easy, maybe its different in the 1200~1400 MMR vs 2000+ MMR games. If you said Mustangs, sure, as they combine with range, can stay active / alive much more thanks to the range. And with upgrades tend to survive crossing fires much more easily.
    In general, small units like crawlers are chaff, things to keep your enemy from targeting your real damage dealers. They tend to not be the winning combo in the lower levels, even with staggered chaff. Fires simply burn too darn long, and their are a dozen different ways for you to get fires going (and in specific locations like oil/etc or optimal sacrifice units).
    In general, its my opinion that chaff is too darn weak against fire and that they last too long. Less health Crawler, is even more weaker vs fire.

      as soon as enemy's fielding and upgrading their crawlers, i just drop 1 or 2 vulcans and the crawler problem is gone. Crawlers are unviable currently for late-game as a way to do damage or stall because they're so hard-countered by vulcan or any type of fire unit, at least with fangs you can slap ignite and do a tiny bit of damage and stall (because of range).
      I understand that crawlers shouldn't be a carry, but then why bother upgrading them at all, just makes the whole unit redundant

      Are you above 1400 mmr? If not you have no idea what the game is.
      I have neeeeever lost to Vulcans with my crawler/ball/wraith push. Vulcans don't work. Badgers do. Arclights with sledge chaff works when done right.
      And if you're going storms against ball crawl you basically can't win. Once you have balls coming from 5 directions and 2 waves of them storms don't matter.
      Sub blitz photon, temp speed. Literally Vulcans just die unless they have multiple items
