sometimes sabers are good against melters, but if I manage to win against melters, it's usually if I play aggro, with a bajillion loose formation crawlers
Absorption module on the AA fort can be strong. The AA missiles would farm HP off the improved wasps.

@geefyG no the enemy mate, he could have benefitted immensely
Because wasp production for overload is chaff. They aren't strong enough at lvl1 to be scary. Also, any non-wasp air into enemy wasp air (especially improved wasp) is suicide.
@@jordanb722 but producing improved wasps with their upgrades is stroong, he could also rip into the forts and fangs with ground cannon and the default attack. last round he just pulled fire badgers and oil, (probably also leveled up units, but its still underwhelming as hell for a round 10
@@1dustbranch111 The problem was not killing the forts, it was killing enough fangs to reach the forts. I'm not sure overlords would have worked better than the wasps alone, which are much better at chaff clear. What he really needed was a way to clear the fang horde, the forts would die pretty fast with the fangs dead.

im kinda sad he didnt upgraded those forts. Staying power was important for those forts to fire as many rockets as possible, and those improve with levels as well afaik
Upgrading to lvl 2 doubles their HP and Attack compared to lvl 1 for half the cost of the unit. Of course the increased attack wouldn't do anything here, as Anti-Air Barrage does not scale with levels. For more endurance against the wasps upgrading would be good, but you gain more DPS against the wasps when simply building more forts. Also more forts are also better against anti-missile if the enemy had built it.

Learnt something new with middle crescent formation and saber!
It's a bit awkward when the enemy has faster units and you are pushing the other side and he is pushing the other side. The center formation will pull everything to your army and allows you to always connect to him. It's a bit risky against balls since the enemy can beacon through the sides but I know sara likes to place the balls a bit further behind than most players
I feel amplify specialist is really good with specific starting units like saber and tarantula, or good giant transitions, sledge fang fort!
It's also good with sledge and mustang starts (if I'm not mistaken then it stops same level archlights from one tapping your mustangs), this spec probably only have bad synergy with storm starts
I’m in shit tier but Saber start has felt OP as heck.
It's not about the tier, is the best starting unit, Sabertooth is like tier 2.5
Maybe it's personal preference, but I think sledge/crawler or sledge/marksmen is slightly stronger, that said, saber/fang and saber/archlight is very good to

Lately I'm losing a lot with this start aggro against stormcallers. haven't yet figured out why.
Stromcallers counter slow moving units hard, and this start consists of nothing but slow moving units. Missile interception on Sabers do mitigate the damage, somewhat.
@Omar_Al_Seddik yes. I usually try mustangs with missile interceptor but with launcher overload and a good counter to these mustangs, i still lost a few games. Well, we'll see.
@ I don't like using missile interceptor on Mustangs because they stop attacking enemies to focus on intercepting missiles. This is especially bad if your opponent unlocks launcher overload. I would rather Mustangs assist in chaff clear and killing unarmored aerial units. Interceptors on Sabertooth and Farseers are less effective, but these units have separate guns for missile interception, so they deal damage to enemies while intercepting simultaneously. And if you're going to deploy a lot of Sabertooths anyways, it's going to be really effective. And then there is the War Factory interceptors. It basically nullifies your opponent's missiles completely, but this is a pretty expensive unit to build.
Storms are good vs arcs, fangs, sabers and mustangs so everything this comp consists of. But since you are pushing on the line the storms don't have enough time to do the work so they don't usually work
Why Typhoon missiles instead of Mechrage? You had anti-large covered with sabers, I think

think all my guides are pretty accurate still. Metas change and some stuff becomes better but this happens regularly so I cannot have like a 100% accurate guide at all times. But in my guides I talk about the principles behind things. I also have a comment on some of the guides on what is actually wrong/changed/added

Only reason I'm hating getting into it so far is I like the worm. Sadly seems like a game where I can't have a favorite comp since the game is too random.
I think you can force strategies to quite high mmr. People play really unoptimal so when you have a lot of hours only playing one composition you will win against enemy because they make a lot more mistakes than you. In higher ranks it stops working and you have to play the game in a pretty boring way; use a prelearned supporting army and just use the units from the free unit drops after that. For example a worm strategy you can force: Only build arclights and fangs, round 3 range on arcs. Take one anti air unit like marksman or phoenix as your first unit drop. Continue making arcs and fangs/crawlers. The second unit drop is r4-r7 so optimally you build wasps before it to win a round and force enemy into mustang. Then you either get worms from the unit drop or take the biggest thing, sell it and build worms. Armor first then replicate
A real sledge master would never skip on extended range sledgehammers! You can always jam up the Scorpions with crawlers as there is no scenario where your enemy can spam more Scorpions than you can spam crawlers. You dont need/want fire on the ground with ER sledges because your tanks will be so good at clearing chaff.
The funny strat called i dont know wtf i am doing and so my opponent cant read me. An all time classic.

holy moly thanks a lot! Yes, more or less. Nothing has really changed that much. Wasp jump drive was nerfed so maybe swap it for shield. Arclight is pretty powerful unit right now so almost all games are arcs with range and possible later with elite and emp as well. Mech range on crawlers might be better than loose and the new armaments on sabertooth is better than missile interception

@@megashield I would build them only against mustangs and go armor first. Then you see how the enemy counters it and go probably shield or cloak. Never range never the rapid fire missiles. It's a risky unit since the raiden hard counters it. Sometimes you get the lev3 phantom ray drop and using it with cloak is pretty good since they tank enough and the cloak increases their survivability and damage by a lot
I think that with sledges you want to use the flanks a bit more. Even one crawler/fang + sledge in the far back side of opponents flank can draw significant resources there and do work. Cast is playing a lot of mass sledge and he always does this flank as early as round 3.
Why no missle interceptor upgrade on sabertooths? Would really help on the left flank to counter damage from stormcallers.

On round 6 you missed a massive range upgrade for the tanks.
Skipping extended range on r6 is blowing my mind
