    How wonderful * Another , newly discovered fact. Thank you Roger Griffith :-) I find cemetery's fascinating places & I did know of the the Mort safes but not the Mort Houses. I was visiting Loch Leven recently & I believe the very interesting building within the cemetery , was one of these Mort Houses.

      Ah, long forgotten books. The best kind as far as I'm concerned. More likely to find things of interest.

    Interesting. Never glanced twice at these wee buildings. Any info on the shape of Dreghorn church that was shown. Why is it that shape? Octagonal like Templar creations.

      Usually aristocrats who saw them on the 'European Tour'. It's said that the Devil cannot find a corner to hider in :-)
