That is one of the most amazing record collections I’ve ever seen! I don’t know about their monetary value but I know what I would love to have: Babe Ruth 1st Album, Caravan in the land of gray and pink, Nektar Tab in the ocean to name a few. I’m blown away!
Thanks! The records were all purchased back in the day from a couple that was stationed in San Diego while in the military. They brough them all back with them 30 years go when they moved to Iowa. I was just lucky enough that they thought of me when they decided to sell the collection. The cover all had wear, but the records were all in fantastic condition.
Damn! I sure let you get a lot of kool music from me. Lotsa progrock and fusion! Hope someone else gets to enjoy them as much as I did.
I'm still sorting and pricing the collection, man there are a lot of albums, but I'm hoping I can start finds good homes for them soon. It's rare that I list albums on ebay. I usually try hard to get them into the hands of local collectors first. I'm thinking quite a few of them will end up as Christmas presents for local collectors!
Tons of great stuff my friend
Thanks for watching! I've had a ton of fun with the collection and so far it's been selling ok at my antique mall booth. I can't wait for spring so I can pick up some more flea market finds!
That's a great collection..🎶
Thanks!
Some of these albums are worth some good $$ . I LOVE the progressive rock stuff . Renaissance, Yes, Genesis , Floyd , Supertramp and ohhhh Miles Davis bitchs brew is phenomenal!! Nice haul 👍
Thanks! I've had a lot of fun with these albums and they've been selling really well in my antique mall booth. It's nice to see the younger buyers picking them up to listen to them for the first time.
Should kept that Frank Zappa and Cheep Thrills. Those are worth some good bucks!
Well I just finished pricing them out and I put $25 on Chunga's Revenge and Cheep Thrills. The condition of the album covers hurts them a bit, but still two of the better records in the collection.
Those Caravan albums are worth way more then those 2 albums
At 2:10: "If you remember when we still had record shops"....Sir, you really should get out of the house more often. They are everywhere.
We have a couple left around here, but mostly they're at the flea markets and antique malls now. I've just returned from vacationing in New England and it was nice to see vintage record shops almost everywhere I went.
I'm 73. Been collecting since 10. I'm up to 30.000 albums. I'm still up going to flea markets at 4'30 5am 95% of these I have. Al de meola weather report john Mclaughlin are jazz . Yes asia Rick wakeman Genesis are all progressive rock. Things to look for . PINK floyd dark side of moon should have 2 posters and 2 stickers many original albums first pressings have posters . Trick is to find with original posters most of albums you have are british artists . Emerson lake and palmer are elp progressive and more. Not annything really rare i see. Posters hype stickers ad more value. .😊
Thanks! Most of this collection has already been sold off and it did quite well. I just don't find many rock themed album collections so this was a nice change of pace. Now if I could just sell all those Slim Whitman records........
Que hermosa colección te mando un abrazote desde Zacatecas, México.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the hug!
The Young Person's Guide To King Crimson was the record before Sheik Yerbouti
I firmly believe that I have the flawless collection of transformers that no one on the planet has! if you are interested!! I have 11 Cgc transformers and all of them are 10.0 super mint condition 10.0 each!!!!
Very cool!
Uriah Heep Very eavy very umble is a rare import and that version was released only in the UK and it could be a $50+ record
Thanks! There's so many versions of albums I do have trouble figuring out what's what so I appreciate the information!
Fleetwood Mac albums are common and sell fairly fast but those 2 are Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac a killer Psychedelic Blues band and you dont come across Peter Green stuff too much
You got that right on both counts! Even with beat up covers the Fleetwood albums are really quick sellers in the $15-$25 range. The Peter Greens albums I see only once every few years. They don't sell very well in the antique mall booth, but they do sell quickly at flea markets and shows. As long as they're rock albums they'll sell pretty well one way or another. If they're not rock albums.....ugh, I'll have them for a long time.
Allot of records are progressive rock.
You got some of those lps for sale?
Thanks for watching! I've been selling them in my booth at the Majestic Lion Antique Mall in Des Moines, IA. They're probably close to half gone, but if you're in the Des Moines area stop by and see what left. Hopefully I'll run accross another collection before too long!
Check tgat working mans dead if the back side is upside down thats an og copy
Thanks, I'll check it out!
$5.00-$10. street price -nothing speicial
Agreed! It's a batch of stuff to listen too, but not a much in the way of collector value. They usually sell pretty well though at my antique mall booth so I should do ok with them money wise over time.
That's not even close to a true statement lol
Couldn't find these in your ebay store. Do you sell them online or only local?
The records are only sold locally right now, but if there's a few you're interest in send me the album names and I'll see if I still have them and then I can put them into my ebay store.
There's nothing truly 'collectable' about these albums. They've been reissued many times over the years in various formats.
That's very true, but they still sell really well at my antique mall booth! So far I've only got about half of them left so even if they arent' in the best condition or rare, the're still popular.
False . Records are highly collectable .
You selling these
Yes, but just locally. The records are in my booth at the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall in Des Moines, IA and have been selling really well.
