I have a beautiful French magazine the cover is deteriorating , in bad condition, the cover is very impressive but is in bad shape do you know where I can have it restored!

The stories are really bad, but the covers are really good! I don't see them very often, but I try pick them up whenever I can if they're not super low grade. Thanks for watching!

ebay got super greedy over the past few years. and it doesnt help what the government did adding taxes if your a seller and dont sell as a business. theres so many extra fees and etc now. i imagine one owner on a boat of percocets saying MORE I NEED MORE
That's because they haven't been able to grow the business. Weirdly enough the covid lockdown really helped them out for about 18 months and covered up a lot of flaws in the business model that are now being exposed in a slower economy.
EBay is absolute 💩 and Australian post is completely useless if a package is lost I have given up basically being a reseller now.
The USPS postal service is undgoing massive upheaval here in the states so shipping has been an issue for me too. If the USPS ever pulls it together, and I think they will eventually, it'll be good. eBay does have me concerned though. They don't seem to be relevant with the population as a whole and I think if sellers had a solid alternative it would get ugly fast.
eBay's problem is they are run by a rotating cast of nitwits who are hired to and have to come up with "unique" ideas for growth. SMH. I have always said they need to create an "Ebay Classic" site as well as an Amazon-type site. Have a site similar to the old eBay for the Mom and Pop sellers.
It does seem that eBay doesn't have a clear long term strategy. They always seem to be jumping on the next hot thing for the last 20 years and haven't been very innovative. Normally I just whine and vent about eBay and then go on with my day, but now I'm genuinely concerned that they're in deep trouble. I hope they can turn things around, but it looks like a lot of people don't find them relevent any more and that's a huge problem. Think Sears/K-Mart. AOL, and cable TV cord cutting.
@@majesticcollectiblesIA I was a big eBay seller starting in 1999...until about 2014 or so...after that, they have been dead to me. They want to milk as many fees as possible from their sellers. It is really sad how bad it has gotten. When they started lumping in shipping so they could get a larger fee, I knew the end was near. eBay is only good for buyers now....NOT sellers...which doesn't make a lot of sense I know...but it is reality.

Been having a lot of up and down days lately too. I gave them really poor ratings in the latest survey. I promoted everything over $15 just to move stuff, but it's been really bad for the last 4 days. Mercari cross listing will be a great idea though.
I'm not really sold on Mercari being able to replace ebay any time soon. But I'm only selling 3-4 items a day now when it's usually 15-17 items per day even with the summer slow down looming on the horizon. Until eBay sales improve consistantly I'm really not out anything by listing a bunch of items on Mercari. I'd really rather just stay with one platform, but I have a lot of time on my hands now so......
Mercari sales for sellers are taking a hit with the new fees they are imposing on buyers. All that does is force sellers to lower prices so that buyers total paid is equal to or less than what they pay on other platforms. Why would any buyer want to pay a premium or fee to buy from a website. Makes no sense.
I'm not completely sold on Mercari, I just don't have many other options. I don't see them rivaling eBay any time soon, but at least they seem to be trying. I'm going to move a few hundred listings over to my Mercari account to see what happens, but I'm not holding my breath.
@@majesticcollectiblesIA I put some items (like 25 out of my 5000+ total) on mercari just to diversify a bit. With respect to ebay, just create a markdown sale at 5-10% if you can given your cost in the inventory. 've found that rejiggers the ebay algorithm in your favor. .
I have been selling video games and collectibles for 20 years. I have not seen this drop in sales you refer to.
I'm glad to hear you're not experiencing a sales drop. My sales are off 27.7% over the last 30 days and are 70% lower than the same time period in 2023.
@@majesticcollectiblesIA I don't say that to brag. You just need to constantly adjust. Overprice things by a just dollar and they won't sell. When they don't sell for 3 days after posting, the ebay algorithm doesn't favor the item anymore until you mark down on sale. After 20 years, I've gained a good feel for the algorithm and pricing. I'd rather sell $1-$2 cheaper within 24 hours and reinvest. Don't sit on things... its not worth it.
@@Cha-chingWV No worries, I get it! I'm constantly making adjustments to shipping costs, how I list, what I list etc. I do promote all of my listings, send offers, remove stale inventory and lower prices on a regular basis. My complaint it that even with all of that my listings aren't showing up in the search engine especially since promoted listings are now only promoted within the eBay ecosystem and if you want to reach outside of eBay you need to spend even more money to promote the listings.
