I tell ya what.....Jim is not afraid of any project that he puts his mind to, and he knows more about cars than what people may think. He's a wealth of information on just about any subject.
Jim and Chad are the perfect example of why you don't judge a book by its cover. Damn good job to both because you would never know that car was so shot looking at her now.
it was great to see you and you wife stop by jims and help him get the hubcaps on. i watched when you rebuilt all the floors and rockers on the 57 olds for jim. that was awesome and it got jims build jump started. jim is doing great on his patina restoration !! thanks for all you two do for jim. 👍👍😁😁
Wow! Oldsmobiles have always been my favorites ! What a glorifying difference ; you guy's have brought her back from the Devil and given her new life! So proud to watch all of these knowledgeable learning and sharing vids ! love when Jolene laughs knowing Jim is so funny and content! ''Happy for him" ! Love you all! (a small soft mallet does wonders to make sure the hubs stay on) js
Im not going to lie, that car is tastefully badass, and your style of work with what you have made me want to hot rod it around. A style you can copy. Very much your own and very authentic. That car will become legend. I enjoy you guys laughing in each other's company. Jim the legend builder! Dang i like the style!!
Loved those old 49-52 Ford trucks. I drove an F-5 with a grain box hauling wheat to the grain elevator in Town of Dauphin Manitoba. The sound of the engine and the transmission brought back memories from the early sixties. Thanks for the video Chad & Jolene.🙂
I agree I would drill a hole to fasten the hub cap down so it can't come off unless it had to be unscrew off. I lost a few hub caps on one of my old car's and had a brand new set stolen off my car. Make them work for it the next time and stamp my initial on them. The Oldsmobile looks even better out side👍🏽
Glad you happen to stop in at Jimbo's, he was really happy to get the hubcaps put on the olds. It is looking much different than what it use to be. Cool old car for sure.
The voltage would jump around because a ripple voltage is created by the alternator. The multimeter sample rate is at a different frequency, so each sample takes place at a different position in the ripple cycle resulting in any value between the trough and peak of the ripple. Just because the value on the multimeter drift does not mean circuit is acting erratic.
i remember several lifetimes ago i got new 'moon' factory hubcaps for my '53 vw bug . I hit a bump on test drive and saw one hubcap roll away in my rear view mirror. I swear to god i could not translate the mirror image so as where to look. It was suburban neighborhood so would have ended its roll in the middle of a yard or against some landscaped bush but never found it a and my brain was fried from second/third/fourth guessing my vision in the fender rear view mirror..45+ years later i drive by same houses and always think about that dyslexit day
Good job Jim, shows what can be done with little tools ! Proud of ya Jim !
