    Hi, I posted that 2 of my pins started to stay up whenever I worked with any yarn. But lord and behold my stubborn heart would not give up, and thanks to you, vedio on how to clean the addi . I got the courage to open it. I marked thev2 pins and opened 1:14 my addi they were missing a small piece. I chang them and my baby started working again. Thank you, thank you, you, you always responded to me.

    Thank you Shelley. I will be rewatching all of your videos regarding this. I always assumed it was user error with my new Addi. But I've tried every yarn I have and it drops stitches midstream, in both tube and especially panel mode. Braced up the feeder, thinking it was too far to catch yarn. Didn't help. So regretfully say "I got a dud Addi"!!! Nothing to lose if I take it apart. Thank you so much for your videos.

      I made the videos on my first time of taking the machine apart so they may be a bit hard to follow. I should really do it again some time because I am much better at it now.

    Hi just to thank you for sharing your time with me. I did follow your advice and it was very helpful. I just bought an addi and it was dropping and skipping stitches. Nothing i did helped. But i think it was the grease they used was all over the inside and sticky.

    Does anyone know what that black piece is called? Mine is cracked and I super glued it as a quick fix but want the replacement. I cannot find it on any of the searches. I find the red piece but not that black piece. I love watching these videos, so informative and real. Thank you for the time you put into these and the great advise. Watching someone work through the problems is very helpful, because it is real.

    I am having a problem with my machine splitting the threads as the needle comes down. It is mostly on panel knitting. It is my favorite yarn. Never had a problem before. I have taken my machine apart several times in the last week. I have the 2 screws on the bottom of the row counter that I cannot remove. I am at my witts end. Can you think of any solutions!

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  Год назад

      The only thing I can think of is that you need to use a tighter tension so the yarn is sure to go completely under the hook of the needle. If the tension is too loose then the tip of the needle catches it and it snags.

    It wasn't skipping stitches before, so the only thing I can think of is something got broken, I'm reluctant to take it apart again, I had a really close look at all the parts making sure nothing was broken before putting it together several times and I just can't figure out what is going on now. I'm quite mechanically minded so not a dunce when it comes to taking things apart and this one really has me stumped and incredibly frustrated.

      So sorry to hear that. I have taken mine apart several times.
      I admit this video may not be the best. I said in the beginning that I was doing it for the first time with you as I made the video. I should really redo a video since I could likely do it now with my eyes closed.
      But I would take it apart again if I were you. If something is broken or if a small screw fell in there you dont want to knit with it and make it worse. Research other videos.

      @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet I figured out what was wrong. in your video at 34 seconds you have the two slots, the gold and black slots, lining up. That doesn't work on my machine, which is the newer Addie king(2023) (I am surmising that that is the difference between what's in the video and what I am seeing on my machine ) On the gold ring there is a small notch/nub, the slot o the black ring fits over that gold nub. I should have taken a photo as I was putting it together but my hands were full of grease. Now not only did it assemble perfectly, all the pieces are lined and there is no grinding or skipping stitches.

      I really need to do an updated “better” video. I will do that in the near future.

      @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochetI am ecstatic too. Maybe just add a mention in your video the specific year and model of your Addi and that the newer machines may fit together differently.

    I just learned that the recommended lube for these machines is now the Dielectric Grease instead of the white Lithium because the last one will eventually damage the plastic parts

      Interesting. This one was recommended to me because it is good on plastic. I’ll have to do a bit more research. Thank you! 😊

      @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet I previously learned the same, but I found a research made by the owner of the channel Creative Yarn with Fabi, and what she says makes sense. Now I’m not sure which one to buy, my SENTRO needs its first cleaning and lubrication service.

      Ok, I am now having a problem with my flat panel. After I took the machine apart for the 2nd time because my counter was off .got it working, and now my panel is off center.i hope there is a hack for the panel. I don't think my little screws will take much more. IF I TAKE THEM OUT AGAIN, they may become unusable.

    i took my machine apart to try and fix the handle wiggle and now that its back together it is now skipping stitches and "grinding' between needle 36 and 39. Taken it apart several times and cannot see anything wrong with it. I am furious with myself for taking it apart in the first place. Ive only had it 2 months. 😭😭😭

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  8 месяцев назад

      Taking it apart and putting it back together will have nothing to do with skipping stitches. Grinding happens if there are broken teeth on the gold barrel that is inside the machine or if tension is too tight when knitting.
      Tightening the handle can be done without taking the entire machine apart.
      I hope that you can get it resolved. So sorry for your frustration.
      My video has helped many people but if it’s not the one for you then please search RUclips and find the one that will help you understand better how to reassemble your machine.
