    Fantastic job young lady! I thought for sure that, because these cranks have to be replaced every so often, that they would make them more easily accessible to the user! I really was so wrong on that one! I was shocked to see that you have to tear the machine down totally and completely just replaced the crank. Thank you so much and please don't take this video down. I know that I will need it shortly but I'm gonna put it off as long as I can!

    This was a great instruction tutorial. I used it to clean my machine. Unfortunately there’s was not even 1/4” of play in the wires connecting the row counter, as soon as I opened the “ clam shell” one of the wires disconnected 😢. So now I’m manually counting 😢 but my cleaned and lubricated machine is running much more smoothly.

    Thank you for sharing with me. I would like to know if you have a video on how to lubricant your Addi?

    What type of lubrication should be used for the addi? Does the machine have to be taken apart to put this lubrication in?

    I got a new Addi machine that I have used to make 4 or 5 hats so far. On the last hat, it seemed that the handle on the Addi was a bit wobbly, with more play in it than I was aware of previously. Is that normal? I wondered if I had not noticed it before. If it is a problem, what can I do to tighten it?

    Hi, you didn't mention when to put the screws in... only once. You had already taken them out and didn't discuss putting all of them back. Now I'm stuck with a lot of screws. I played it many times and I'm confused.

    Does taking apart the machine for cleaning or repair break the warranty?

    Your videos are excellent. I need help with my Addi. It growls at me around the 11th needle after the three black ones. I have replaced the crank/handle but that didn’t help. I thought maybe I need a new golden ring, but it looks fine to me. Please give me some advise.

      Have you tried replacing just that needle? When I fist got my 1st Addi king I had trouble with knitting. It was always at the same spot, I noticed. I replaced that one needle and everything's been great until now. Now I will have to replace the crank after many many charity hats have been made!

    How often should one service inside the machine? Are there symptoms that indicate a need for service?

    • @SkacelKnitting
      @SkacelKnitting  2 года назад

      It depends on how often your machine is used, what yarns you use, etc. If you use yarns that shed a lot of extra fiber, you may need to clean the inside more often. Some symptoms might include difficulty turning the handle, squeaking, etc.

      Same on mine and it is new. Sorry, reading these blogs and going to try about reinforcing the handle with a shim as shown in one. Sigh.

    Can vaseline be used to lubricate the machine?

    • @SkacelKnitting
      @SkacelKnitting  2 года назад

      Hi Jeanne, we wouldn't recommend vasoline, since it can degrade the plastic and can be quite gummy. We'd recommend White Lithium Grease.
