I would be finding out who and where this gravel was from and have a dump trailer delivered to my house. Hubby said it would be cheaper then the trips I have planned, lol😅😅
One of the girls that I work with is really in to rock tumbling (I'm just getting into it with my first tumbler), and some of her favorite pieces came from the gravel in the landscaping around where we work. For context, she has sent pieces in to national competitions and done fairly well, so she knows what she's doing. The finish that she can get is absolutely ridiculous. I hope I can get to that level some day
It's always a great feeling when you find a variety that you haven't found before. I have also found that a lot of the agates I tumble polish have little amethyst pockets. I have one variety left to add to my collection of personal finds. That is a paint agate bigger at least golf ball sized. I have a ton of smaller paints.
What a crazy way to find so many agates! I'd be finding out where that gravel came from because they are likely to have larger material that's also littered with agates. I wish that area wasn't such a long drive so I could get up there and rockhound. Super cool!
That is so amazing that you got lucky enough to go camping in a place that just had fresh gravel, full of agates dumped! That is absolutely the luckiest! It's awesome! Thanks Ariel!
Ariel to camp manager, ok were going now but the kids?want to come back next week, can we get the gravel refreshed? Silly question but have you asked where the quarry is, imagine sourcing the stone before it is crushed?

I recently spent hours walking up and down the creek and didn't find any agates (lots of petrified wood though), and then I walked over to the fairgrounds and found a nice agate in the gravel by the road 😄 I also found a bright red-orange carnelian piece in a driveway.
Great find! I need your advice. I just tumbled for the very first time. I started the 2nd stage about 4 days ago. BUT, the rocks were obviously smaller then the 1st stage. They probably only filled up about 1/3 of the tumbler. I didn't have any media to throw in with the rocks. But I do have media coming today and will throw it in the tumbler. My questions is, did I ruin the rocks? Thanks in advance!
I love that you can find so much excitement in what is essentially a gravel driveway.
Haha 100%! 🙌😂
That's a low-effort/high-yield agate hunt if I've ever seen one!
Right!!!
The gravel in your area sure is prettier than what they use here in Tennessee. It's basically all gray. 😢
Such a bummer! This was definitely the most beautiful gravel I have ever seen!

Haha oh trust me I did! 🤣
That amethyst agate is GORGEOUS! Beautiful finds! 😊
Just found your channel and watched a bunch of your videos. Now I want a rock tumbler, but I think I already have too many hobbies 😆 great videos 😊
It’s the best hobby 😎
Urban rockhounding is always cool. Can't wait to see them cleaned, cut or tumbled. Keep having fun and stay away from those pesky mosquitoes. 😷⚒
Thank you! I can’t wait either!
I'm new to the game and your excitement is contagious. I'm going rock hunting now. Thanks for the videos..
That’s awesome! I hope you find some great beauties!
Oh my gosh, I would get a permanent camping permit and live there.
Right!!
Find out where the trucks got loaded at... Go to where they are crushing the rocks.
I hope to!!

You should ask Agate Dad to cut them for you!
I just might!
Your excitement is way too infectious, should be illegal
Where are you? Like what is this campground?

Right!! I really hope I am able to do just that!
When are you going to tumble that beautiful amethyst agate?? We NEEEEEEED to see this 🙏🙏🔥🔥
I really like your videos and especially your Passion for what you're doing. Thanks for sharing.

So was it emerald? Gorgeous either way!
Did you ever find a diamondin gravel?
You're the cutest thing ever 🥰
Oh my goodness! How exciting! Lots of agates!
One of the most beautiful agates I have ever seen! You found like dozens of them, while I barely even find one that is as close as these.😅
It really was such a great trip!!

Crazy how that works right?! 🤣

I would probably pause the cycle until the media arrives! The issue with running the barrel too low is bruising/chipping on the rocks
@@AgateAriel Ok. Thank you very much!

Have you ever done a lb./4a/lb. trade with your viewers?
I haven’t! Might be fun!

Outstanding finds right there at the campground thank you for part 2
Of course! Glad you liked it!
Amazing what you find when searching "cleaning rocks".
thats awesome! are you willing to share the spot? or state. I am trying to find agates but not wanting to travel 800 miles!
No way! Haha for real though, it was up north Minnesota!
Awww darn! Still way toooooo far.

You too!
Hi there 😊
Hello 😊
You should definitely go there after a rain!
Fun! Did you haul a bucket full of them home? 😃👍🏻🪨⛏️
Absolutely! 😂
@@AgateAriel SWEEEET!!
So how many did you haul home? Looks like some are small enough for the jewelry you want to start making. 😃👍🏻🪨⛏️
Right! A solid couple pounds for sure 🤣
@AgateAriel Freaking awesome!! I wish we had agates out here in California, like in your state. JEALOUS!!!
