what is unusual guys a tape in ground zeros confirms there was a second bomb, so if "big boss" listened to this tape he would of predetermined it beforehand, so the second bomb must of been removed or ground zeros is a simulation with that tape been in venoms mind too, either that or its a misinterpretation of events, so if the second bomb was removed why did paz jump? mgsv is one big interpretation check the tape out - ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxhDtRtsTy68p7iC4MDvWYCO-4J0IVWweB?si=0Y2-d78-_4KwboVZ
I've commented before about the theory that GZ was a simulation/hypnogogic brainwashing, but I completely forgot about this tape. The information about the second bomb is bad enough, but the fact that there was even one evades BB's memory until they investigate Paz's scar.
Chapter 2 is a representation of the player chasing phantoms in hopes to alleviate our own phantom pain...at the start of the game it shows Venom in the middle of a war right as he puts on the tape he got from Big Boss as it states "Just another day in a war without end". In chapter 2 we see "Extreme" missions popping up which are repitition of some of the missions from chapter 1 (which was ironically called "Revenge), missions that you don't even have to do to advance the plot (you can just get in and out of MB and scenes trigger before new missions pop up)...it's like we are stuck in the cycle of revenge...having the option of repeating missions we've done before and relive our quest for revenge. After doing the missions "Shining Lights, Even in Death", there is a short call from Kaz in the chopper where he tells Venom that "Ever since Skull Face died, the phantom pain has gotten worse and worse..." This reminds me of something Kojima said in the official MGSV guide book regarding Skull Face and how his death affects the rest of the game: ""Skull Face is the story's villain and main antagonist yet his character is not simply about good and evil. He has lost something, which makes him suffer from the phantom pain. When he, the target of the player's vengeance, is gone, his absence leaves a lasting phantom pain." "We often see good versus evil encounters in the closing scenes of Hollywood movies, which are meant to satisfy their audience. But this game's theme is the chain of revenge, the phantom pain - the continuous chain that you experience when the target of your vengeance is gone. It is not possible to convey the subtleties of this theme in a standard boss battle."
I've done a lot of thinking about what is "real" and what's hallucination in MGSV. It's definitely possible to spot several knowable hallucinations thru the game. An early one is V's red bionic arm in the intro to episode 01, Phantom Limbs. Venom doesn't acquire a bionics engineer until mission 05, and in the old whaling ship, Ocelot had given Venom an ivory 4-fingered bionic arm. Venom should have seen the ivory arm in mission 01, and shouldn't have a red one until after 05. So, the arm is a hallucination in the cutscene in mission 1. You can also see multiple lens flares and lights in the camera lens to provide a visual clue. Another easy to see one is in the end of mission 43, Shining Lights. At the end of Snake's slow-mo walk down the hallway, there are multiple shots of the dead bodies on the ground. You can also see the clear shadow of a 3-bladed fan on the bodies. The fan is not there, and in fact is from the Dhekelia hospital room, the fan in Venom's view when he opened his eyes. In that same sequence, Snake's mask disappears. The mask was also a hallucination. There are indeed maybe no facts here and only interpretations are made available to us. But, I like to think once you start to see enough of the bigger picture thru multiple interpretations, something resembling Truth starts to appear.
17:26 so happy you said this. 1 thing I always thought strange was how Paz curls her arms in as she falls. If she knows she is about to explode, why do that? That is a tactic used when you hit the water as to not break any limbs and enter the water smoother. It would make sense for her to do this if she thought/hoped she might survive. Food for thought?
Or she was trained by Cypher and thar could just kinda be how she's used to falling because of that? Also she didn't know exactly when the bomb was gonna go off, could have been after she hit water
It's kinda sad to realize that this game that was left unfinished is our phantom pain... A missing limb, taht hurts more when you try to replace it or complete it, because we'll never be able to.
The way they did snake hallucinating paz is very much like dead space 3. Dead space 3 is the only game i played where if you're player 2 friend is garver and you're playing as Issac, the player controlling garver will see toy soldiers while the player controlling Issac cannot see these toy soldiers. Player 2 will see and hear things that player 1 wont hear or see at all. It was such a unique and awesome feature, it had some players questioning if they played the carnage for too long.
Brain be lazy but it does it for our own survival, because we are all playing the same game, survive and pass down our genetics. At the end of the tunnel it's our choices how we view ourselves and each other as well the whole world itself. And our place in it. So far its messy and chaotic but that's how life is, it's a very noisy thing that moves like rushing water.
That's what makes this game special, because it doesn't simply throw the entire lore in your face and ends, it actually makes you think if what was shown is really the truth or not.
While not my favorite subplot, i loved paz story in V, It really felt like she redeemed herself after PW, but in the end it was all in Venom's head. Venom didn't care about her betrayal and her hijacking zeke, he was a medic and he wanted to save a life. Venom might not be one of my favorite characters but i do respect him a lot and he didn't deserve the pain he went through (like pretty much all of the characters in the saga). Now for the tapes i 100% agree with all you said
So here’s my thought: if we understand that Ground Zeros was a simulation to help program Venom then we have to understand that most of it isn’t true. That said, I don’t think it would be a leap to think that Paz’s death in Ground Zeros isn’t accurate. It very well could’ve been planted to foster a sense of revenge in Venom. Maybe when he sees her death later with both bombs removed, that is his memory coming back. I would be more inclined to believe this to be true. That would mean Paz actually escaped safely and was working with Cypher.
I recently commented on pythonSelkans last video that I've just started thinking about MGSV as a massive conditioning operation while Big Boss was in his coma. I don't think any of MGSV happened, I think he was being influenced with hypnogogic therapy to come back to Cypher, and his interpretation of that experience was what we played as surrogate. I think the very end of the game is Big Boss waking up and Ocelot set him free to return to the US so BB could helm FOXHOUND. Now I think BB was a sleeper agent who eventually woke up from his conditioning and started Outer Heaven to get his revenge on Cypher and Zero. The only question now is, if that is true, who did Solid Snake kill at the end of the first Metal Gear?
There is three possible answers to that, the first being Skull Face, I know it sounds ridiculous, but if your theory is correct, he may still be alive and could possibly join Big Boss's plan (he probably went rogue after Ground Zeroes). The second answer is Chico, because he was the only character that was in Ground Zeroes and didn't appeared, neither alive or dead, implying that he may be alive in the real world and serving XOF/FOXHOUND. The third and last one is Psycho Mantis, but not exactly him, what I mean is that somehow used his psychic powers to make Solid Snake think that the person he was fighting was Big Boss himself when actually it wasn't. (Actually, this last answer can serve as an explanation to the other two answers, in case one of them is true)
that is a very interesting point, since zero idolized big boss so much, hence creating his sons, not just as an insurance policy but to keep a part of big boss close to him, after the crash it is plausible, that perhaps big boss underwent some from of conditioning to bring him closer to cipher, some people even believe that mgsv was a dream in big bosses coma, that he was in after Zanzibar, that he was only in 1 coma not 2, but retcons and so fourth make that debatable, we have to remember that if we take into account portable ops as canon that both zero and big boss formed foxhound and in that case would partly return to a former outfit of cipher, now hear me out what if big boss did fall into that one coma during Zanzibar, but zero created venom out of some warped love for big boss, to fight for him knowing big boss would no longer be his pawn, he had everybody fooled including ocelot into believing venom was big boss he (of course ocelots a triple crosser so he went along with it anyway knowing its bullshit because he was playing the long game to defeat cipher "doublethink"), constructed a story into venoms psyche that made sense to venoms warped brain, and this is where the ="THEORY" gets wild as some suggest, that skull face was big boss which could make sense since his war is with cipher, " and venom with his hallucination's saw him in a different image just like tyler durden from the movie "fight club" and inadvertently, defeated big boss, who lived to fight another day, only to find out the "truth" that he was been used as ciphers pawn by big boss , with venom realizing the truth re-joins big boss were venom hides away in outer heaven whilst big boss returns to foxhound to play cipher at there own game to eventually destroy them, hence ciphers own creations the products of the own downfalls turn against them such as the les enfants terrible, with cipher sending such pawns as solid snake to defeat there own by-products like venom in which they created to replicate big boss to give zero what he always wanted, a icon that he could control, its a little strange how we dont kill skull face and when we shoot him no damage is done, and the screen flashes images of the real big boss, only up until miller takes hold of the gun 🤔but meh, like ocelot says "we could go on all day"
@@mycardboardbox I think it's very plausible. In another theory I had for a long time, I think it was Venom Snake who returned to helm FOXHOUND and Big Boss truly did found Outer Heaven and died there due to Solid Snake. I believe that because it's so much more likely a phantom who was forced to become the legend eventually tire of the facade and betray Big Boss rather than BB try to fool Cypher that he has returned to the cause, only to then send his own clone knowing Zero would orchestrate Outer Heaven's destruction one way or another. If Venom was real it makes more sense that he trained Solid Snake. And when Big Boss died, he probably tried to hide away but his legend had kept up with him and he only knew how to do one thing, which was fight. He may have had his own interpretation of The Boss's will, and Zanzibar Land was his attempt at restoring that vision. But one could make an argument about why wouldn't he change his face after BB died? Perhaps he realized embracing his role as Big Boss could also be used for good, but he didn't know to what extents Cypher would go to and he was defeated by Solid Snake and we were never the wiser. Of course that would imply MGSV lied to us when it said Venom was killed at the end of Metal Gear. But then again, Kojima has made it very clear over the years that these are simply stories being told over and over again by people who are swayed by the legends and ideals of those whom the stories are about.
I actually thought this was the continuation of Python Selcan’s video but I was surprised to find that while it isn’t it’s still high quality and explains the subject very simply (which is rare for a Metal Gear content creator) Thanks for that boss!
You're in for a treat. Enjoy, I just started playing it the first time about 2 months ago. It can be a lot at first but be patient and don't rush yourself
Like Neo said, you're in for a treat - enjoy! As a long time series fan, I do think this is one of the worst games to play "first". Anyway - Brother! - Enjoy the show!
@@GhostofTam I'd agree if you're just getting into mgs. I've been playing the series for a few years now because I sucked back in the 90s 😂. I was assuming this person was like me and just never got around to playing V. Truthfully I have yet to play 4 also, fingers crossed for a master collection vol 2!
The gameplay is top notch the best in the series! The story for me personally is quite good for a sequel .. it does expand on the timeline of mgs and events we heard from previous games. If you love gameplay driven game rather than heavy story driven cutscenes game you'll have a blast playing this 😁
In the cutscene and flashback for Ground Zero+ the Phantom Pain, Snake looks at paramedic after they removed the bomb from her gut telling him to search again. Medic makes a hand gesture, to keep it PG, open up another part of the human body. Paz squirms but we see nothing. Later on when Paz is going to jump, she says "There's a bomb-" followed by Snake saying they go it. She quickly says there is another, but they got that too. She still jumps. At this moment there is an explosion, and we see the XOF chopper slam into ours. But why? If the bomb from Paz went off, both choppers would go down. Yet Morpho was slammed into the XOF chopper because he flew into its flight route. My conclusion: The XOF chopper fired a javelin at Morpho, Snake looking at Paz, medic too, believe she was the cause of the crash and are filled with guilt believing they could have saved her. Had Morpho banked starboard and dodged the javelin, they would have escaped, however it was whisperes by kojima in hints, that Paz did pass when she hit the water. Not when Zero's "gift" went off.
11:45 another youtuber, superbunnyhop talked about this long ago, almost joking when he said "who is holding the mic" refering to some of this tapes. Of course at that point everything was taken on a more surface level but now its also part of the overall question about the tapes.
I always figured either Venom is just a split personality of Big Boss due to his injuries from losing at Outer Heaven, which makes sense when you consider that the cassette tapes are used to "give" him memories. Or, he was real and the only one we fought in both Outer Heaven and Zanzibarland. The descriptions in Zanzibarland match Venom and not Big Boss.
Have we reached a point where we can compare Metal Gear Solid V (both Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain) to a classic novel? Although there’s a lot of references to 1984, Moby Dick, and others. But we are analyzing this story and what’s “not told” is very interesting. Kojima may be wiser than even he thought.
For me there's very little that is as clear cut as reasons for venom paz hallucinations and the "real" version of the events with her. He is just a medic that has hard core guilt for not saving paz. As venom snake he should not have this memories so its like a second hand guilt from his other self. It must really suck having your own mind making up hallucination just to explain your thoughts to yourself.
Wanted to throw something out there.... I believe that the 2 campaign areas are actually the campaigns of both snakes. The real snake is going after the real threats while the phantom is working real contracts like where the bees sleep. Phantom is playing catch up to a tech advance force, then magically you start worm holes and biotech weapons. I think it was so that the xof and fox forces were split focused and confused by the twins working inside the same ao for different reasons and different times. I believe phantom is the opening few chapters and the real big boss missions starts in Africa looking for the virus source.
I honestly think Big Boss was handing the tapes to Venom, possibly out of sympathy and guilt for what he did to Venom, and possibly in order to subtly influence Venom’s actions or psyche in some way.
You know what the real biggest mystery of MGSV is? What Venom Snake is, not who he is. Let me know if you guys know what I'm talking about. Seems like nobody talks about this obvious secret that's been out there since before the game even came out RIGHT in the original TPP poster.
@@mycardboardbox It's rather simple, play Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and fight Big Boss, call Kassler and he'll say this 「やつらはマッドナーの スナッチャー ケイカクをいそが せ,かれをそのジッケンバイタイと してえらんだ。」 Look at the E3 2013 key visual for The Phantom Pain (on Google Images should be first three results) Remember the Jamais Vu mission and the differentiator between the X rays of each enemy type. Just think about it.
which poster are you exactly talking about? the hospital xray posters? the one where venom is with the ashes on his face? the one that's used for Definitive edition now? the original game cover poster? the one where he's with ocelot? elaborate please
Not sure about the poster but I've seen people mention that they think Venom is a cyborg/robot. Venom never breathes heavy after sprinting but every other character you play as does things like that.
@@chararaltacc Metal Gear Solid V Key Art/X-Ray Poster E3 2013 by Kyle Cooper: From Konami Web Site (File Name "MGS5_KeyArt_E3_2013.jpg", Size 5906 x 8350)
Always wondered if this was actually MGS5 or MGS:Venom. Nothing that happened was canonical, right? You're not really the boss and Big Boss is still out there creating Outer Heaven. It's like Miller and Ocelot were told, "Keep Venom entertained and let him play soldier" while they were actually working with the real Big Boss. I always wondered, was any of it real. There's no mention of Diamond Dogs, Sahelanthopos, or the vocal cord parasites ever having happened. Did it? Was this all in Venom's/Paramedic's mind?
There's a truth. I'm not completely sure if Ocelot or Kaz or real. Ocelot more comes off this way because of how dark Kaz's turn is. I forget where but there is somewhere you can look at an x-ray or a mention of V's condition and if you look at Venom's "horn", they mention that the horn and the condition he was found in, is all made of shrapnel _and bone._ Much of he shrapnel was headed toward's V's heart and they removed as much as they could. Nice find in the XOF helicopter. Maybe the entire situation is made up aside from Kaz? Maybe it's a commentary on proxy wars but regardless _the truth_ is that Snake's horn and other "shrapnel", if also containing bone, must be from Paz exploding. I remember when this all clicked for me it was pretty nuts. Ground Zeroes in general is pretty nuts and I think there's more to be decided here.
he was infected with a strain of parasites I'm convinced of it, look at some photos with those infected with it including zeros they all look similar, and it not because he blind neither he is sensitive to light
I don’t think mgsv paints cipher as the good guys not that cipher would even want that because they are not supposed to exist, they don’t have a history that people know or that they want people to know. They don’t care they already control the world by the 1980s so they don’t need to write a history. They needed to cover up that Big Boss had a nuke in the Caribbean but that was easy to cover up and it wouldn’t make sense to make this story accomplish that. I think it’s clear Cipher was just a non-factor in MGSV aside from just covering up some of the things big boss was doing. By the time of the phantom pain Zero was brain dead and the proxies began to take control. XOF becomes a parasitical organization on cipher, using it resources to carry out skullfaces goals. I think the point of MGSV is to fill in the Gaps of the history of Cipher, the patriots, and big boss for the player. Basically why did Big Boss form outer Heaven and how did the Patriots come to power. The unreliable part is what Venom experiences because there is an unprecedented amount of player choice in the game and the narrative reflects that. Also what has to be factored in is that some of this is just Kojima forgetting things and retconning a bunch of stuff. Like MGS 3 pretty much made liquids statement “Our father was in his 50s when they cloned us” completely impossible.
There is a chance the entire game is a conveniently constructed lie by a brain damaged narrator. Even Huey Emmerich being such a cartoony bad guy. I know what he did to his daughter but some inconsistencies make me unironically believe Huey did nothing wrong. In one of the tapes Huey keeps talking and crying even when Venom leaves the room. Why would Huey keep talking and calling out the group for not seeing reality for what it is? The Strangelove recording used in the trial was also oddly convenient. Huey's character was also wildly inconsistent with how he was in peace walker and its a bit of a jump to go from refusing to work with Coldman to messing Diamond Dogs up by manipulating the parasites. Then the cartoony murder of Skullface which makes me think it was just Venom doing it while his mind used Huey as a scapegoat so he could maintain his image of a saint. Huey even maintains his innocence even when being sent away when he's safe and has no more reason to...So what if this is a story of trauma actually turning the entire group into a paranoid, violent militia just as Paz had foreseen in peace walker and Huey was the voice of reason trying to talk sense into them? If so, this recontextualizes a lot of things. Huey went through numerous tortures from his former friends, got blamed by them, discarded like trash, lost his wife, his legs, and being cucked by his own son after years of PTSD made him finally snap. I'm probably crazy but this is freaking Kojima.
"We don't plan on the player seeing Snake receive the tapes, as technically the tape(S) don't exist - they are just a figment of Snake's imagination" - Hideo Kojima
For my own sanity I like to believe paz did indeed become a butterfly, and is easy to believe it in a universe where a single soldier can beat a battle tank and the father of the final antagonist can speak from the dead
So, is the fact that you are actually Venom Snake the reason that they robbed us of David Hayter’s legendary vocal performance? I could deal with that. But why on earth did they burn a mountain of money to have the dude from 24 lazily record a tiny handful of lines? I might have gotten accustomed to the different voice if Snake hadn’t suddenly become a silent protagonist. The eighty percent complete version of MGSV that we got was pretty darn impressive. But if it got the final 18 months of polish and the 200 hours of David Hayter that it needed, it could have been one of the greatest open world games ever made.
It's because Kojima is a huge film/TV buff. His latest game series he's making is centered around Norman Reedus. If Konami would've had the money in the 90s, we mightve gotten someone different, I know Kojima would've wanted Kurt Russell as snake. But another reason I think thwy used Keifer instead of David, is Venom snake is a different person, and didn't really speak as the medic in Peacewalker. So if they made him sound and talk as much Big Boss, I wouldn't have liked the whole reveal at the end as much. It would've seemed less believable.
The truth is that MGS3 is chronologically followed by Peace Walker and than Ground Zeroes, it all happened. Phantom Pain is an incomplete game viewed by the perspective of a victim of brain washing process, psycho therapy and conspiracy so its somewhat confusing, but it all ends when solid snake kills Venom in Metal Gear (MSX) and free his disturbed mind. So if you only played PP you don't have the grasp of reality to root your understanding on the matter.
My own take is that both is the truth, as far as who is the "real Paz" goes. Whether or not she died I cannot say. But I think Paz the innocent lover of peace and Paz the cynical triple agent were both real. People can be contradictory.
Yeah I revisited MGSV and got to see that semi-first hand with Huey being shoved down a set of stairs and forced to work with the Soviets after the real burn victim was done with Huey. Later when interrogating Huey, Snake said nothing to Huey's defense about being forced to work with Cipher, because somehow they thought that Huey could resist physical force.
I’m a quarter of the way through the video and I think there are somethings you misunderstand about Orwell’s 1984. For starters in the world of 1984 war is in fact peace. These are not just making you believe that a words opposite but actually making it true. In 1984 the World is at War but war has lost all meaning, the war that does is occur is small battles that actually result in very few casualties. The “war” is actually just symbolic rather than having an effect on the world. For 99% of the planet continual peace is the state of existence. Even the “freedom is slavery” slogan is true in there world. If you reverse it “slavery is freedom” you can see that the slaves of Oceania (the proletariat) are actually free to do basically whatever they want. They hardly ever jailed or even policed. Meanwhile the class with the most power, the inner-party cannot deviate on even the slightest insignificant issue. This is true for all the slogans of the party and almost for all aspects of their society. Basically it’s not just that the party seeks to make you believe these things they want to make them impossible to disprove. They completely obliterate the meaning of things that even a direct opposite has no meaning. That’s ciphers ultimate goal, the destruction of all meaning so the world will become zero once again. Zero separation between people and nations. Although his proxies gain their own goal. On double think an important thing you are leaving out is that it’s not just believing completely contradictory ideas but that you do actually know what the truth is and get recall it immediately when required. That is true for venom. He must and does know what the truth is and recalls it when it’s most needed , operation intrude.
We are all dumb that’s the message😅 actually. Like actually big boss is a unreliable narrator if you want to now the truth we have to go back to “zero”. Remember that when you play the game.
Kojima I want to see metal gear remastered so we can see big boss establishing Zanzibar land and solid snakes inevitable clashes we can give our all but as venom snake we lose and as big boss get comatose only to be taken by patriots at the end like Vader and Anakin but in 1st person big boss perspective. He was rebuilt with solidus' perfect body, makes you think of seeing him in mgs4 and his end...he was brain dead after all so ofcourse hes missing limbs and skin maybe organs too since bigboss is grafted with them, clone DNA clone body venom had cybernetics it can be done I'd by it make mg 1 and 2 into one game via mgsv cohesion and graphics we've seen liquid and mantis too but that would be another series , solidus' and Raiden ? Another big boss in Angola? Raiden jack the ripper ooh big boss or venom with Frank yaeger frank hunter....grey fox
Im offended there wasnt a survival mode an inevitable one , With kaz and all our soliders our resources but some of them resources and man power being depleted grenades our weapons and ammo a vr one, subtly altered by zero as to have idk explanation to onslaught survival mode with easter eggs maybe zero commentary
John was in fact the man we know as "Skull Face" in TPP. He ran Camp Omega as a black site where he and Ocelot broke several assets in order to enlist them into his fledgling nation of Outer Heaven. At some point John's men recover Paz and interrogate her. Kaz may have been brought on board for this, but if he was it was likely at a neutral site where he'd be kept unaware of XOF's operation. We hear Troy Baker voice a line in one of the interrogation tapes where he demands that the interrogation team "give her the shot already;" if this was Kaz, it was likely him showing a moment of weakness. We know that he has a soft spot for children as the White Mambas managed to manipulate him into allowing their escape, so to suggest that he has a similar soft spot for women (especially Paz) is not at all a stretch. When Paz finally breaks, I believe it's Kaz life she begs for and not John's. Clearly being a liability during the interrogation, Kaz would have been removed and John would have been able to talk to her freely. Paz's desire to "kill Zero" seemed like an obvious attempt to build rapport, with Miller's survival being the only thing her frazzled mind could come up with as "payment". I believe it's at this point that the bombs planted where placed for the intent of killing Zero, with the 2nd being overlooked because of his ego. The Medic on board Quepog's job was to keep her stable until she arrived in Manhattan, at which point she would strike up a conversation feigning success inrecovering something valuable; this being Big Boss, instead of the forgery of the pin that Skull Face used to poison Zero. The bombing would be a partial success, with Zero being ultimately crippled and rushed off for emergency care at a black site of his own. Mother Base would then have been assaulted by XOF, with Emmerich being the fall guy when in reality John was the one responsible for telling him to send out the request for inspection. John reports to Mother Base to retrieve Kaz, while at the same time maintaining his alibi by "suppressing" the assault until Kaz is successfully extracted. It's at this point that I believe that John intended to kill Kaz to tie loose ends. Mosquito, seeing through Big Boss's charade, then fires missiles at the Quepod causing the explosion that knocks out the Medic. Ocelot fabricates the story of how John would safe guard the Medic throughout his transformation into Venom in order to hid the fact that John was never in a coma, and was in fact busy building up his mercenary nation. All of this information is later found out by Cipher, who feed a highly fictionalized version of it to a revived Frank Jaeger through a beta S3 program. Frank dies as the Cyborg Ninja, but the results of the beta program are not at all a waste. The Patriot AI system revises the program and uses it to control the masses, causing the events we see throughout Metal Gear Solid.
you lot seem to forget that kojima and the writers couldn't finish this title because konami ruined the entire project. too much about this game was rushed and looking to find so called answers that weren't fully completed narratively or in game is just silly, half this game is a konami wash over after kojima left so again looking for answers when konami basically removed entire sections of story for developer crunch..... new mgs fans are too hungry and not angry enough at konami.
can someone please give a tldr of what he is saying, the over use of game audio and futurasound productions level of blabber makes it hard to retain attention
I think as crazy as kojima is he wouldn't really rely on 'split personality' to explain how big boss survived being burned alive Infront of solid.. I think venom did exist and the one died by solid.. I mean if he didn't and it's just a split personality then kojima went through the hassle of creating 'medik is big boss' twist just for it to be big bosses split personality and nothing happened in mgs5 😂
Also he did say the reason he created venom is because us the player are the true big boss that's why he gave us the ability to create our own medik character and each medik is different looking based on players customization so it make sense why narrative and poetic wise why venom should exist and not just a figment of big boss imagination
@@ThePhiloSpheres I didn't say anything about a split personality being the reason for him being burned alive, you did. I said after his defeat at Outer Heaven. As far as him going through a hassle, he went through the hassle of creating several things in this franchise. Bringing Volgin back from the dead, using Liquids arm as a plot, Eva being the surrogate mother, a prison guard from MGS1 being the one to marry Meryl, Rose and Campbell's lie of being together, I can go on forever. The whole series is a hassle, and Venom wouldn't be anything of different since he went through the hassle of making a game that retconned almost everything. You say Venom is created for us to become our own Big Boss. Which means that nothing is real, only our own interpretation of it. If I do a stealth run of the entire game, then Venom wasn't the killer everybody says he is. If I did a lethal run of the entire game, then Venom is the killer everybody says he is. It's a made up character, with a made up past, for people to make up their own interpretation of. I also said that I thought he could've been the one in Zanzibarland. The description of him from the kids, and the backstory from Kassler, describe Venom more than it would Big Boss. The cassette tapes serve as both an alternative to cutscenes, since everybody cried about Kojima making too long of cutscenes, and a backstory, memory that Venom relives. I said that it would make more sense for him to be in Zanzibarland because he was playing a cassette that would, as implied, explain the events of Operation Intrude N313. If he was listening to, or reliving a memory of, the Outer Heaven Uprising, then he wasn't there and it only makes sense that he was standing in Zanzibarland when he listened to it. But then again, none of it matters about the tapes if he wasn't given them directly. @PythonSelkan already explained that so there's no point in me explaining it.
@@steelekratos4834 Also just to add on the 'he was real and the only one we fought in both Outer Heaven and Zanzibarland.'' this one wouldn't really make sense since the real big boss did get burned in zanzibar land hence why he was kept in a comatose state by cypher and was only put together by eva and ocelot with new body taken from liquid and solidus as explained by big boss in mgs4. Also that's why solidus appeared 'skinless' they had to take solidus skin to reconstruct big boss since he was the the one burned alive beyond repair in mg2:ss
what is unusual guys a tape in ground zeros confirms there was a second bomb, so if "big boss" listened to this tape he would of predetermined it beforehand, so the second bomb must of been removed or ground zeros is a simulation with that tape been in venoms mind too, either that or its a misinterpretation of events, so if the second bomb was removed why did paz jump? mgsv is one big interpretation check the tape out - ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxhDtRtsTy68p7iC4MDvWYCO-4J0IVWweB?si=0Y2-d78-_4KwboVZ

Mouse quest solid V
It’s “would have” not “would of”.
After doing the missions "Shining Lights, Even in Death", there is a short call from Kaz in the chopper where he tells Venom that "Ever since Skull Face died, the phantom pain has gotten worse and worse..."
This reminds me of something Kojima said in the official MGSV guide book regarding Skull Face and how his death affects the rest of the game:
""Skull Face is the story's villain and main antagonist yet his character is not simply about good and evil. He has lost something, which makes him suffer from the phantom pain. When he, the target of the player's vengeance, is gone, his absence leaves a lasting phantom pain."
"We often see good versus evil encounters in the closing scenes of Hollywood movies, which are meant to satisfy their audience.
Muscle memory is also a likely explanation
@@mmrchive training results in that being the muscle memory, so yes
It's kinda sad to realize that this game that was left unfinished is our phantom pain... A missing limb, taht hurts more when you try to replace it or complete it, because we'll never be able to.
Chapter 51 is our phantom Pain
Why are we still here? Just to suffer?
I think that works incredibly well.
It was such a unique and awesome feature, it had some players questioning if they played the carnage for too long.
your mind is a tricky tool. sometimes we see and hear things that aren't as they seem.
This also applies to memory, because more distant the memory is, more our mind tend to exaggerate or misremember it.
@@marciohenrique6465 that's a very good point.
Actually we are doing it all of the time. The world outside is one of fact, it is as it is. The world inside is one of truth, it is malleable.
Ummm... i think you might wanna seek some medical help.

@@BlueJayWaters 1:26 those legend's constructed aka by cipher, the patriots those who control history perhaps,

Strangest mystery: MGS video with SH music.
3:26 how do you not know the word “erasure”?
The simple fact is that Big Boss was always the good guy.
CLOUDS 🗣️🔊🔥 20:45
I honestly think Big Boss was handing the tapes to Venom, possibly out of sympathy and guilt for what he did to Venom, and possibly in order to subtly influence Venom’s actions or psyche in some way.

What Venom Snake is, not who he is.

So how to get to third chapter?
Is there a third chapter?
or it's just a hallucination?too?
there is no third chapter its over

@@dicembre15_mat maybe.
Dam i didnt even think about it like this ... Was the second bomb not removed or is venom just coping with mot finding it .....

Like MGS 3 pretty much made liquids statement “Our father was in his 50s when they cloned us” completely impossible.
a good explanation is the the truth is a lie, we will never know, we have to live with it.
"We don't plan on the player seeing Snake receive the tapes, as technically the tape(S) don't exist - they are just a figment of Snake's imagination"
- Hideo Kojima
For my own sanity I like to believe paz did indeed become a butterfly, and is easy to believe it in a universe where a single soldier can beat a battle tank and the father of the final antagonist can speak from the dead
Ocelot in MGSV is decoy octopus.
Let this sink in Snake did it with Paz and Miller in a box
I hate that were never going to get answers to these questions unless Kojima comes back to Konami (which probably won't happen)
Why did nobody notice that medic doesn't look like Big Boss?
They performed cosmetic surgery on him to make him look like Big Boss.
Perhaps I should have watched this before making my video.
Bor Gullet will know the truth!
Im offended there wasnt a survival mode an inevitable one ,
With kaz and all our soliders our resources but some of them resources and man power being depleted grenades our weapons and ammo a vr one, subtly altered by zero as to have idk explanation to onslaught survival mode with easter eggs maybe zero commentary
The Patriot AI system revises the program and uses it to control the masses, causing the events we see throughout Metal Gear Solid.
all this video did was open up more questions.
the scene in tpp ist defo venom taking a big whiff of copium
you lot seem to forget that kojima and the writers couldn't finish this title because konami ruined the entire project.
too much about this game was rushed and looking to find so called answers that weren't fully completed narratively or in game is just silly, half this game is a konami wash over after kojima left so again looking for answers when konami basically removed entire sections of story for developer crunch.....
new mgs fans are too hungry and not angry enough at konami.
The truth Is Hidden In The Lies
KOJIMA IS GOD!!!!!!!!
can someone please give a tldr of what he is saying, the over use of game audio and futurasound productions level of blabber makes it hard to retain attention
_"V has come too."_ it's just one line that can be taken out of context so easily.
zero clearly mentions in a tape to miller that "v will come too" implying venoms awakening
Do you mean to tell me that Miller's plans for a Pax Hamburgana was just Venom's mind playing tricks on him?
I always figured either Venom is just a split personality of Big Boss due to his injuries from losing at Outer Heaven, which makes sense when you consider that the cassette tapes are used to "give" him memories. Or, he was real and the only one we fought in both Outer Heaven and Zanzibarland. The descriptions in Zanzibarland match Venom and not Big Boss.
@@ThePhiloSpheres So you didn't read anything I put?
I'm glad there's still videos coming out thank u
