@LadyBug..Reseller I was trying to get one of these trays, but unfortunately, they are all sold out. I wanted to make a steam punk style with keys and cogs, but I also really love the idea of making an ocean scene or wildlife garden or even a kitchen theme just so I could have it on display. There are so many ideas for this tray.
pull the greenery off the back and remove a layer or two of petals, put the greenery back on, to make them sit lower. silk flowers are very forgiving. lovely idea, lovely result.
I love it! I know something I've learned while making things with resin, I'm very good at making bubbles! 😆 I don't have the patience to do large projects like this either, I stick to making jewellery! I love watching other people make bigger things though!
I’ve watched this video three times now. I love this one. Something so out of my league and yet just fun to watch over and over. Just like the frog mould that you did. I’ve watched that twice 😊
This is amazing…. I’m planning on doing a similar project with resin peonies in different colors. I’m waiting for the mold for the tray, but I like your idea of acrylic tray.
So Beautiful! If you use artificial flowers again you can try to remove some of the petals, especially from the centre of the flowers. When drying real flowers we take out the centre petals so they flatten better.
Beautiful Julie. I use flowers in the deep heart moulds. They are very much in demand, but people don't realise how much time and love goes into them. Doing wedding bouquets take even longer as you have to dry them first. A great idea using a tray. Thank you❤
If you miss any little bubbles on the flowers they'll look like little dew drops I've found I was a bit worried when you started squashing the flowers down that it might spoil them but it turned out great 😊
Oh, i think it is just stunning! The air bubbles under the brown flowers really adds a bit of extra colour to them in my opinion.. haha. A really fabulous piece❤
You have a tenancy to over think things and fiddle too much it's like an arrangement almost like a square wreath you want it fluffy but delicate looking not squished. You can remove the lower layers of the flower and no one will notice . I would use some golden beads around the bottom areas of the flowers since the center flower has a bright yellow middle it draws your eye to that flower.😊 beautiful job on this
Let me just say you did it again!!! I was thinking, wow, that looks like a hot mess, and at first, I wondered if you were going to be pleased with the result as it looked a bit "eh?" - but I should have known better and had more faith in your process. The tray looks absolutely wonderful. What a great idea and how love it looked in the sun. Like flowers in perfect ice. Thank you for sharing this! 😍
This was a genius idea. That’s so beautiful. I count see butterflies 🦋 in one. This is a game changer because there’s no limit to what you can arrange inside, well not big huge items, lol😅. Holiday trays will be wonderful.😊❤
25:02 Hi I just found your channel and I’m loving it. I live in Fate Texas and out here we to make things work that don’t want to. My thought in these flowers was to use hot glue gun and put a dot of glue on each petal and stick together. Take the flower and gather it into a tube shape. Flower edge on top and cut off part on bottom. Then Breath! and cut the flower 1/3 off from the bottom. Before letting go take the hot glue gun and secure the shape and petals. It should fit now.
What a gorgeous tray, Julie. You are so creative ! I just love your tray. Absolutely stunning! You can say the bubbles is dew on your flowers. Wow! ❤❤❤
What a stunning tray. Leave it up to you to always coming up with some new and different. I kept thinking you would add little gold glitter to it. But it is beautiful like it is.❤❤❤
A gorgeous gorgeous tray !! Don’t be hard on yourself-you did a fabulous job on it ! Imagine all the different things you could put into that tray-it’s endless !! Thank you for another wonderful video Julie
I think it’s gorgeous! I have been watching your videos for a month now and learning so much. I am so thankful for your tutorials because I just love doing this resin art. I have made so many mistakes with so many not turning out but I’m getting better. I appreciate so much that yours don’t always turn out perfect either because it gives me hope that I will improve. It’s just hard for me because I like things perfect too and the resin in expenive. Thank you again so much! I love your videos and love your voice and presentation! You are awesome!
That's beautiful! I had a thought while you were working away. Would this work... If you were to use just a drop of instant glue like a super glue under the petals that you want to la😂y flatter, and hold it down with a silicone brush just while it dries to hold those petals down before you pour that next layer. Not sure if it would work but just a thought.
That turned out great. I really appreciate your videos. I've been watching your channel for years now and finally got up the nerve to try resin. I've got everything on order, so wish me luck! I'll stay tuned for the next few years!
@lullysmommyify Wooden? You mean wood pulp flowers, or carved wood? They sound gorgeous! I would definitely use spray varnish on wood pulp ones, as they tend to go patchily translucent.
Love this! I just stumbled onto your RUclips channel Anna I’m so glad I did! I love this! You are so talented! I have a couple of questions about this… where did you get those silicone circles that you place over the flowers that don’t stick to the resin? Did you make them? I am so fascinated with this! Thank you for opening up a new way to be creative! 🤍 Oh ya! What is that little black gum thing that you click over the top of the resin? Where did you get that?
I did note that you didn’t pre-dip your flowers. Typically, I’ve seen you put these sorts of things in a resin bath ahead of putting them in the mold, specifically to cut down on bubbles. I also think it would help with reducing the height of the flowers.
Wow!! This gives me a whole new set of ideas!! You are amazing. I do do fake larger flowers in vases, and sometimes I actually cut off 1 or 2 layers of the bottom of the flower, then re attach the stem. That way, they spread a bit smaller and aren't as tall.. but o am a super newby.. so practice as I go!
Hey Julie! The tray is just beautiful. Yes, saturating them in resin or maybe sealing them with some clear coat would help eliminate the bubbles. The possibilities are endless...a shaker or using some of your crystal flowers, eggs, several individual crystals or what about cookies or hard candies!! Oh, what about a "steam punk" theme with black pearls etc or using some of the 3D "lace embroidery applique patches" in a teapot, flower, pearl and lace theme? Mercy, idea overload here!!🤪LOL😂 Loved the long video, can't wait to see what other new and cool projects ya got coming. How fun...Big ((Hugs)) from Texas!!🤗🌻💙
Somehow I was thinking you were after a lip of resin to keep things from falling off, but now realize you were talking about the acrylic tray as a lip. I think it turned out beautiful.
The petals of many silk flowers are shaped and set with heat. Like ironing or using a curling iron on your hair. If you set a warm tray on them, then let it cool completely, they may relax and squish a bit more. It might work even better to squish them for a week ahead of time. Maybe under a picture frame so you can see how they look through the glass? You could also trim the petals a bit.
This was so pretty.. wonderful gift idea! I love how it looks like flowers floating in water. Reminds me of beautiful wedding displays. I think you did a great job for your first deep tray, brilliant! I can't wait to see the flattened flower versions too. I'm imagining some sun catchter versions as well. You've opened my mind to resin, thank you for helping me see the beauty of this artistic medium.
PERFECTION CHICA! WOW! TALK ABOUT A BRILLIANT CREATION, THIS WAS SUPEREB! AN IDEA MAYBE SMASHING THE FLOWER BEFORE PUTTING THE RESIN IN .PUT SOMETHING HEAVY ON IT ...THEN IT WILL BE READY AND SMASHED FOR THE RESIN. JUST AN IDEA CHICA....I LOVE YOUR WORK! I'LL BE WAITING FOR YOUR NEXT DREAM MAKER COME TRUE! EXCELLENT JOB!❤🎉😊
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful, Julie. Next time, maybe try some flowers and old pictures or something along those lines. Thank you for a wonderful video.
It's really gorgeous tray Julie ❤You do really neat and awesome work. What your doing putting out videos almost everyday. I would be to nervous to put out even 1 video. ❤❤❤
You could have built them up around the edges, leaving the centre clear for the storage part! 😮 my wedding bouquet was exactly those colours! Awesome idea. 🎉 ❤
What an ambitious project, and a great video! Thanks for spending all that time and effort & trial & error with us! Interesting how some of the silk blooms became more translucent in the resin, and the color of others stayed more opaque…! Such a cool and pretty project with so many possibilities!
Hi Julie, greetings from Gran Canaria, Spain 🤗 loveeee your videos, love them all! This is just amazing! Such a creative soul! You transmit such a good energy. Thank you for sharing part of your life with all of us 🙏
So beautiful my wedding flowers was same color as ones u have but the brown ones was bit darker my wedding was choclate and cream and I had a beautiful gold wedding dress everything matched beautiful I got married at 18 yrs old my husband was 48 at the time but he cheated because I fell ill at 22 years and had to stop working he wanted someone who was working and bringing in money so he didn't have to spend his. Even though I give him £2000 month which is equivalent to 1.585.50 in usd. And i was having £50 a month to myself which about 40usd a month. He broke my heart. But I kept my flowers. dress .photos . My mum hates him but I can't I'm to soft lol. I might do this with my flowers thank u Julie for showing this. I love it x
It's really quite beautiful, but sometimes less is more, I also think a slight shimmer would really set the whole thing off beautifully. Also a slightly darker green leaf would work so much better.
You can’t do it with fresh flowers, they have to be completely dried out first, and would be very fragile. If the wedding flowers were fake, obviously it would be fine.🤪
@@susanpickup9497 I had real flowers for my bouquet that I carried but I made a look alike one out of silk to keep. This would make a great display piece to display forever. 😃
@@creativestylecrafts What a great idea! That would make everything much easier, as I have seen some very sad looking attempts using real flowers, that I think would be very disappointing for a bride. 👏👍
A pearl necklace draped in between the flowers would be so pretty!
I was thinking exactly the same thing or some loose pearls I mean scattered around. 🤔 Still beautiful ❤
I agree, it would be so beautiful.😊
I agree or how about a tray with junk jewelry from a lot vintage broken jewelry with no purpose not junk ! Jewelry repurposed jewelry lol

I'm going to stick to jewelry for now, until I can afford to make the larger pieces.
When you use the fake flowers I learned to spray them with an acrylic spray it really lets the colors of flowers show better. Just a tip I learned
When you say acrylic spray do you mean varnish? Sorry if I sound thick
Could you also use mode podge sealer?
Aleens makes an acrylic sealer. Makers of Tacky glue. I got this tip from the manufacturer of the resin I bought.
@@BekbekEthat is exactly what I use. I use on my real dried flowers as well. It also makes them not as delicate.
Lemons oranges and cinnamon sticks anise and apples dried

Christmas theme with carol sheet music, pine branch’s, bead garlands, frosted berries, mini ornaments and snowflakes. ❤
Shells and sand would be beautiful, too. With shallower objects you wouldn't even need to pour the resin that deep.
It’s beautiful!
Wow! I do a lot of flowers in resin, have never thought to use an acrylic tray. This is a game changer.

Julie, you are so thorough and detailed. I enjoy watching your creative process and how you come up with fixes and new ideas along the way. Tfs
Wow this is beautiful but OMG I could never afford this much resin esp in one project 😂😂❤❤❤
So pretty. Could you glue some of the petals down before you put the resin on them ? Wouldn't it be pretty if you also used some crystallized flowers
That is what I was thinking also.
it's beautiful. It's easy to see why they charge so much to preserve your wedding bouquet in resin now.

Next time you make a silicon mold, pour some in a baking sheet or two so you can have a 'sheet' to use for something like this.
What if you would have soaked the flowers in resin first before you did the first layer, this might have squished them down more? ❤❤❤
