Be warned!!! Did this on my Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro: It worked but it also wiped EVERYTHING on the phone. So remember to backup and be prepared to reinstall all app as if it was a new phone.

why you did not say that its gona format the device i spent the whole day retrieving data and downloading apps and then formated it say its gona format the device\
Everything worked for me until i came to the part where you need to put your phone into fastboot and then open up cmd promt. Now, i did all of that, but my device just doesn't pop up in the cmd promt. Do you know a solution for that?
Do you install all necessary xiaomi drivers and use original USB cable of your device?

Lock/Unlock will erase all of your data! So u need a backup first

Hi. So, my phone came with EU rom. I've unlocked the bootloader and flashed TW rom(fastboot rom). Is safe to lock the bootloader now or my phone will not boot with TW rom anymore? Thanks
You should only lock the bootloader with the rom that originally came with the device. If you switch to a different rom and lock the bootloader it will be bricked.
Anyone here trying to lock a global miui phone, don't do this or your phone won't turn off anymore !!!!! This works for official firmware !!!

@@abbymerang U can't lock with a global. If you wan't to lock it, you should flash an official ROM (chinese/english). Global MIUI or EU MIUI can't be locked, if you try to lock it, your phone will be bricked and it won't turn on anymore.

Try to flash a stable rom for you region, global or EU and try again

@@cis9222 yeah, when the bootloader is unlocked, features like find device and some banking apps don't work properly.
My stupid ass did that and now it shows «System has been destroyed» message. Did that on Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G with MTK Helio G99 Ultra (MT6789). Couldn't flash a new ROM using SP flash tool bc it gives me «brom_scmd_sla error code 0x7020» error message. If there are anyone who faced the same problem and solved it, what should I do now?

This is just coming up as 'system destroyed'... Can't enter Recovery mode or boot. It's a Redmi Note 12 Pro that came factory with an unlocked bootloader meaning I couldn't use Wear OS or Google Pay.
It definitely didn't come straight from the factory if the boot-loader was unlocked. The reseller must've opened the box and flashed the IN global rom and put their own seal.

Nice to meet you. I've just bought a Xiaomi Pad and I'm thinking of installing Treble AOSP, but I have one question: is it possible to relock the bootloader after unlocking it? Will the Treble AOSP custom ROM still be installed? I'd like you to verify that too if you don't mind!

Don't LOCK ur bootloader if you had custom rom (It will brick ur phone/ tab)
Edit: But if you only downgrading Miui (ORIGINAL BY XIAOMI) version like me From miui 13.0.5 to Miui 12.0.2 than it's fine to relock ur bootloader.

Hey, have you tried relocking after Indonesian ROM flash? Mine is the same Phone Redmi Note 10 with Indian ROM, I have unlocked it (after waiting for 168 hrs) and now flashed it with Indonesian ROM to get stock apps works perfectly fine but Gpay and mobile banking apps are not working as it is unlocked so want to relock but not sure whether it will boot or not?

It will brick it.ypu need to flash the official ROM that belongs to your phone (as in the location it was made for)

@@cj4088 how do I know the location? Does that mean that I can't relock after installing a global ROM? Because my MI10TPRO has MiUI global stable since buying it
@@Trishkaz You would have know by checking the build number in settings. I think that would have been the safest way to find out but you already changed your ROM. So do not attempt to lock the bootloader until you know for sure the region it was built for.
Maybe you can try entering your serial number on the Xiaomi website, I see that it has an option to verify that your product is authentic. Hopefully that helps.
