@KLAYCO47 you are one of the most underrated AK channels. I love everything from the video editing to the information you push out. Good shit man you deserve 1million subs.
Super underrated channel, I've been a viewer for a while but just had to look up a video how to zero my AK. Obviously I should have checked your channel first!
Straight shooter straight instruction. Well done. Just made the jump to AK. Zastava zpap m70. Been with AR for several years so looking forward to the breaking. Gonna reload too so there's fun to be had. Gonna do a rsregulate barrel clamp picatinny for bipod shooting and will get started as soon as it arrives. Look forward to posting!
I broke my Tapco sight tool a couple weeks ago, served me well for many years. Got a Magnamatic as a replacement, thing is a beef cake, a lot nicer than the Tapco.
A good tip would be look on the top of your AK. Mine has a line etched into it to show where the factory "zeroed" it at. So you can line up the line with your sight and get a simple zero.
I’m one of those lost souls who bought an IO AKM 47 but-since I likely won’t be able to resell it-I’m gonna make that baby perform. I might’ve lucked out and got a well-crafted unit 👍
Iv only shoot my AK a few times and I never knew that it’s opposite adjustment when trying to zero. I always thought to bring down the post when trying to get shots lower. I just got a red dot and this concept is going to help me zero it.
The 25 meter zero is also military standard at least for the army since the zeroing paper we use simulates about how far a person would be 300 meters away
Good video Strangely there are no videos of interwebs that explain in English at least all to use The rear sights on the AK47 meaning an introduction for dummies.... How does it work what's the S? etc, ect...
This dude: "Imma show how to zero an AK." This dude at the end of the video: "I'm not even gonna zero this AK" 7:58 lol But seriously, not a bad video, beside never talking about rear sight position. I'll be making my own video soon. Just got an AK.
❤ I am a new subscriber to your channel and I like your videos.. At the same time I have a question.. Why did your shots at a distance of 100 not go to the middle of the center.. What is the reason? Thank you..❤
WERE YOU ON 100 METER SETTING OR 200 METER SETTING OR DID YOU HAVE IT ON THE LETTER? OTHER AK PUNDITS SHOW THE IRON SIGHT SETTINGS .... GOOD SHOOTING THOUGH
You didn't say where your elevation is set at. My understanding is zero at 25yds at the 200 meter setting. Then shoot 100 meters at setting 1. All the way back is the Battle Zero setting, which equals 250 meters.
I have been doing the 50 YD Zero,, on just about all of my guns, with the 50/200 yd, dead on hold, for all tgts,,, out to 200, the Important part about any Zero,,, is knowing WHAT,,, your zero system is!
When I was in basic they have us zero are m4 at 25m they told us at 25m will be the same at 300m with iron sight we zero with the elevation at 300m when do it
@@KLAYCO47 ok. Appreciate the quick response. Im a little confused because I see some comments and videos telling me to zero 25 yds setting rear sight to 200m. So idk..
Exactly. With my 18.5" SKS I set the slider on 200m while performing 25YDS zero, then re-set the rear notch to 100m for shooting the target at 100m. and so on. Do you suppose Klayco was using the Battlesight zero notch to explain his 100 yd projectile rise?
Hey man I'm new to the AK business but I recently just bought my first one. Its a regular barebones Zastava Zpap M70. It's one of the newer ones but doesn't have the chrome line barrel and blah blah and I was curios about a point you made in your Jmac muzzle break vid that you did a while ago. If you can help me out, I'm confused to the mounting of the RRD-4C 14F Keymount and if I can just throw that on there, instead of having it pinned or using an adapter then a different muzzle device for suppressing. Hopefully my question made sense? Thanks man, your vids are awesome!!
Yes you need to make sure you buy the one that mounts to the face of the barrel. Meaning you're not jamming it in to the front sight post you're tightening it against the face of the barrel he sells those with shim kits.
I was told after100 yds you move rear sight up 1 for 200yds up 1 more again for 300 yes and so on. May be something you would want to try. In order to know how to sight your gun you have to shoot it. 🤷♂️
I like the idea of sighting at 25 yards and adjusting your shot for long range. But i like to shoot at far ranges with rifles. Would you recommend sighting at that range with a ak 7.62x39 if you plan on shooting at two to three hundred meters.
That's just the way you zero an AK. With the 25-yard zero the round is still traveling up at 100 and comes back to your point of aim at 200. The mentality behind that is you can basically aim at the middle of your Target and hit it from 25 all the way out to 200 yards so there's less thinking. The Russians really weren't the only ones to have that mentality.
Thank you man for the info. I have a question, i just bought an SDM 103, here in Italy. I have to zero that rifle. Do you think the tool that you can find on amazon is it ok?
The best explanation on the zeroing in process I've ever come across; very well simplified.
Thank you Klay for making the AK community a much better place to live.
@KLAYCO47 you are one of the most underrated AK channels. I love everything from the video editing to the information you push out. Good shit man you deserve 1million subs.
I think your the best source of info regarding AKs. I have seen lots of your videos and I do follow you.
Wow thanks man
Wow man I've never stacked 3 shots like that at 25. That's some consistency right there!

Easy way to remember iron sight adj. FORS = front opposite , rear same . Works every time .
Simple, straightforward, extremely useful - Subscribed!
Sometimes a hammer, sometimes a vice, sometimes a press, sometimes a prybar, sometimes all of the above.
I broke my Tapco sight tool a couple weeks ago, served me well for many years. Got a Magnamatic as a replacement, thing is a beef cake, a lot nicer than the Tapco.
Thanks for all you do. I’m learning so much from your channel as a new AK owner.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@KLAYCO47 where do I get an ak with a nice dong like that? was that a romanian md 65?
Me too.
I've noticed that new WASR's actually come sighted in for the most part. It's a crude sighting though
AKs so so interesting.
Love this channel. Just got my first AK, an imported WASR - will use this channel a lot for guidance!
I just purchased my first AK 2 months ago. I dig it.
The acronym for adjust iron sites is FORS. Front opposite, rear same.
Ive had that same sight tool for years. Ive never had a problem with it.
I've broken a couple unfortunately with really tight front sights
@@KLAYCO47 mine is so loose it haa no friction unfortunately, i have the tool though
Extremely to the point helpful video. Thanks!
Just picked up my zpap m70 and front sight are way off but this video made me feel much betterr hopefully I can zero it where I want it.
Good teaching Man, not assuming I know every little detail.
A good tip would be look on the top of your AK. Mine has a line etched into it to show where the factory "zeroed" it at. So you can line up the line with your sight and get a simple zero.
I love my AK but man I get the dirtiest looks when I ask the stores for 7.62 ammo😂
AR fan boys get mad when you don't buy Hornady V-Match ammo that cost $0.84 a round
@@WarriorLL why do u have a Vietcong child fighter as your profile pic

I think it’s just you man. I got my first ak 20 years ago and never got dirty looks. No one gives a shit what kind of ammo you’re getting.
I buy all kinds..& 7.62 nobody ever cares....
Great video. I will put that knowledge to use here real soon. Thanks.

7.62x39 AK's will hit high at 100 yards when zeroed at 25 yards. That's why the Russians came up with the belt buckle hold at 100.
Thank you.. and special greetings from the State of Iraq to the Great State of Russia
You need the Magnamatic AKFST. For anything that’s not a combo block anyway.
Yes I do

Thanks soo much Bro!!

When zeroing at 25 yards make sure you select 200m , this way you will never need to compensate just put on the right range and aim center.

Hi, great video, but I had a quick question where would you hold for a 200m shot or 300m shot. Thanks

The round is still traveling up at the distance

I actually have a magazine video cued up this week on 556AK mags the 762 mag video is also coming
Ohhhhh helllllllllz yea brother my favorite

That 100 yard adjustment is opposite of what I thought.. isn't the round dropping as it goes farther ? Why not aim higher ?
That's just the way you zero an AK. With the 25-yard zero the round is still traveling up at 100 and comes back to your point of aim at 200. The mentality behind that is you can basically aim at the middle of your Target and hit it from 25 all the way out to 200 yards so there's less thinking. What setting is your rear leaf on. Battle zero setting, or 100?
I too was curious of this.
Sorry if I didn't mention in the video it was in the rear position. All the way back.
Thank you.
Where can I get that shirt? haha
can you do a zero with a bore sight for an optic? thanks-
Thank you man for the info. I have a question, i just bought an SDM 103, here in Italy. I have to zero that rifle. Do you think the tool that you can find on amazon is it ok?
Nothing like some dong action this early in the day. Respect
Just got my PSAK47 GN3 I was told to zero at 50 yards so I would have more accuracy at shorter range like 20/25 yds. Would appreciate feedback thanks.
To each their own. I like to use 25 yd Russians like to use 20-25 meters
Where would you hold for 200 and 300?
200 should be a dead hold. 300 You're going to start hitting low.
You didn't say what you had your rear sight set to....?
All the way back
Ok thanks, I seen several different ideas from battle setting to 100 meter ,300 meter setting for the 25 yard (meter) sight in method.
Maybe a 50 yard zero would give a sligtly lower point of aim at 100 and a slightly higher at 25 best of both worlds? I dunno
50 yard zero is better for 5.45 and 556. Stick to 25 yards with 7.62
