@@tammypescatelli1 I had gathered enough people to fill two tables but then we read the fine print where Vulcan Gas Co states that they will lock up our phones for the duration of the show because they apparently hate families that include children. As my daughter is expecting her first child and her husband works the late shift, I MUST be able to respond to her on short notice if push comes to shove (as it were). Likewise, other couples HAVE to be able to respond to texts from their babysitters. I tried calling the venue to ask about this policy, but none of their listed phone numbers answered. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, as I've been waiting for you to perform in Austin for YEARS. Everyone I'd gathered backed out because of Vulcan's phone policy.
If ticket sales aren't up to your expectations, this policy might well be the reason, as it appears to maliciously exclude a huge swath of your fan base. You might want to have a few pointed words with the venue! If you return to Austin in the future, please consider Cap City Comedy Club, instead. I wish you a successful tour.
