Yeah it was yesterday.. problem i got if i went fast group i would have held up guys in the corners/straights and just got in peoples way.. when I’m in the 1:48’s I’ll think about it 👍🏻
Cool video, I was there too, probably got a bit of footage of you. I noticed a fair few people looking back and hanging with their mates out for a cruise 🤦🏽🤣. Bike sounded 👌🏽
Nice riding. I don’t track my Hyper, I instead opt for the canyons of Southern California. If it puts a smile on your face then it’s mission accomplished. 👍😎
Initial thoughts is the rebound is too fast when changing direction (unload and load the front).. also track change of elevation.. think i’m going to go for a softer spring with more preload then have better range to adjust as from stock the SP is like buckaroo 😭
@@petecr2508 The stock Öhlins is when you soften it off for the road.. but it needs to be tailored for the rider and I’m 70kg so stock spring is way to tight
That’s a lot of engine breaking in the first corner. You went from 100 mph to 55 and it sounded like the engine was doing all the work instead of the brakes.. Do you like keeping the engine braking setting on high for the hyper track days? Or are you on medium?
You need to use the brakes on redgate.. am coming at it from 128mph.. the engine braking helps alot (like dropping an anchor) but I don’t think the Hyper has electonic settings to change it..
@@hypermotardking I have an 821. Ive been told by a guy who has an 821 that engine braking can be programed to low mid high. BUT my bike is in the shop so I havnt had much change to go into that menu. I just assumed the 950 would have that.
@@GarlandGay7 I've done a video on my channel about the new 950 menu and there is no engine brake setting. I actually prefer heavy engine braking.. means I can get closer to the ideal braking spots knowing straight off throttle it will kill the speed before I apply the brakes (which Ive also upgraded from a V4S)
@@hypermotardking Why dont you like the track mode settings? Is it because too many aids are turned off? Personally I would think cornering abs and cornering tracktion control on low settings would be great for the track. But I wouldnt know. I have the 821. Those settings are not available.
@@GarlandGay7 Early morning here in UK the weather is cold 4-5 degrees so tyre temps stay low (even in warmers) so you leave all the extra settings on.. when the track temps warm up and get over 12-13 degrees then you can start to reduce it...
@@hypermotardking Cool. I didnt know because I've never been to the track but I have signed up for a track focused course and I'll be riding my Hyper 821 Sp.
was this yesterday (27th?) if so you could have been in the fast group, there were some slower guys than you in there.

Sweet ride, great to see what a hyper can do with a good rider!!
Well getting there.. if I can workout the correct tyre pressure with the suspension to stop that wobbling I got a few kore seconds to eat out
Love this type of video, showing what a non typically track bike can do with a good rider on board.
Thanks.. stock bikes are just as capabable with a few changes.. big balls certainly helps 😂😂

Nice one.. generally was good in inters group.. even i was surprised i passed 98db drive-by 😂

I have been highly impressed with mine on track. They're more than capable and they tend to be pretty forgiving.
You got the year round weather and better roads than UK.. ☀️👍🏻
Great video! such a good looking bike. One question, what ban is that? cheers!
Ford Tourneo Custom
Great video, thanks for sharing. Did you figure out what was causing that wobble?
Cheers.. suspension too hard - Ive since had it changed in my other videos and its much better 👍🏻
that looks mint. i live right by donny park but havent been on a track day yet. this is inspiring me to do it!
Give it a go.. instruction is free and this early in season the trackdays are quieter than normal..
Lovely bit of kit mate can’t wait for mine too arrive in July 😎😎😎
Very jealous
Great bikes.. the spending doesn’t stop 😭😭
@@hypermotardking well it’s better than spending it on the wife 🤣🤣🤣

Wow so much overtaking
Great braking mate
Good stuff
Gota love the Z04’s.. awesome pads
Awesome riding wish I could get my hyper to the track.😉
Thanks..
Have you figured out why it’s wobbling? I’m looking at getting a 950 sp myself soon! Great video 😀

Thanks 👍🏻
Fun to watch 👍🏻

Cool video! The hyper is no slouch.
The more you ride and practice on it the better it gets..
Is the dash yellow light in the corners traction control or ABS?
DTC (traction).. When riding you can’t see/notice it.. when i got the 1:52 I dropped them all down to 1 or 2 - but still in Touring mode

Why are u driving in touring brooooo
Because its early spring and cold and tyres not up to temperature and I don’t want to throw my bike down the pit straight into the gravel..
Wrong group me thinks
I think fast group are all in the 1:48s.. so once I get under 1:50 I'll move up
