WTF ford, 5th gear is brutaly long. It would make sense if 7th 8th is like that. This is 8 speed automatic. This doesn't look like it has 280 hp.
It´s just 7 speed AT, but the max. speed should be reached in 6th gear (in Sport Mode), as far as i know. But this 5th gear is extremly long.
@@TromPeter1 From what i see, this car can't hit top speed in 5th gear 250 speedo at 5900 rpm. Let alone 6th gear :D

Ford needs to see this video (and the one from carwow against the Golf GTI mk8) and do something about it... it's such a shame ! The manual transmission is much faster.

Other videos are available with 1.3 bar boost pressure.Kind of weird with you. That's why it's so relatively slow.
It could be low octane fuel. The one in Australia does 0-100kph in 5.7s but they only managed 6.8 on this channel

It seems to me that engine is not running at full capacity. In the video , the boost pressure is 0.9 bar, although i have seen many times that in this version it inflates 1.2-1.3 bar. Are there pros here?
Yes, i've also seen Videos off the automatic with 1.2-1.3 boost pressure... In an Australian Video i've Seen doin this Thing a 5.8 0-100 and it was way faster in a drag race than the Manual! Something might be wrong with the Car in this Video 😶

It's faster than the old GTI Performance, but the new MK8 has more power even though they say it's the same.

@@UtsavMistry-CMB the very fact that the RWD BMW weighs more is an advantage when it comes to acclertaion and putting it's power down on the ground because the weight is shifted to the rear when the car accelerates and that will allow the tyres to gain traction and in FWD the weight shifts to the back and that creates a light front end which in turns leads to the infamous tyre hop and the power does not get to the ground effectively. But the thing about power is an interesting debate

Turbo pressure is not normal(0.8) It should give 1.2 - 1.4 at full throttle.
The pressure is normally 1 Bar.
In Overboost 1,2 Bar.

bruh bmw 330i with 2.0 and 252 hp gets 5.8 seconds. This is so slow.... and that is just a sedan not a "performance" car like the focus ST

it´s funny a new Golf 8 GTI with 35 HP less is from 100 - 200 KmH faster than this 280 HP Focus ST, LOL.
This automatic gearbox is close to a disaster, I strongly think Focus ST is better off without it.
This new Focus is real slow car 😂 even my Megane 3 RS 265hp with manual gearbox is faster 0-100km/h and also 100-200km/h hehe but it sounds better 👌
Yes but your Megane is limited to 250km/h while some of these ST arent...besides, you have more space in them and more options for the same money...
Manual ST is much faster than yours ( 5.7 0-100 km/h) and considerably higher top speed....
Dont forget that this is the RS engine, not your average 2.0 ST

Uhh what a shame performance wise .. optic and sound is OK, but that 2.3 needs to be reworked, there should be a lot of potential for tuning, if the gearbox will wakeup as well. Good god, my Cupra Leon 300 would drive around this thing in circles on the autobahn.

What's wrong with this car?! 420Nm, 280HP, advanced FWD, lightweight body and much slower than the bigger and heavier Giulia 280KM 400Nm?! I understand that in the sprint to 100 km/h the FWD may lose traction, but the version with the manual transmission probably did better times .. How many gears does the automatic transmission have in Ford? 10? Should be more efficient than Giulia's 8 gears.

Automatic is shit in this focus. It is slower and qiute. Only manual and mountune m330. Just got the m330 2 weeks ago with manual gearbox with rev-match. It’s a beast in this spec.
Trust me , focus mk4 ST with great manual (rev match) and mountune m330 is much much better and do serious „pops and bangs” . It’s like another car. I will eat this focus from this vid. Just my opinion on this specific movie...
