im going to sleep here in paris but cant wait to answer comments when i wake up! will it be a croissant or a pain au chocolat morning?
Or It could be a morning for both of them! Hahaha
juice or coffee ? both!
I vote croissant! 😂🥐
Chocolate bread plz 🍫
Pain au chocolat!
I have to say, Cari, you really know how to put together an awesome video, the views, the music, and the timing between shots are spot on in my opinion. What a great video. thank you Cari and Kurt.
Thanks always!!!
First off, thank you for including snippets of dogs and kitties whenever you seen them on your adventures. This Venice footage is giving me strong Studio Ghibli vibes. You look so at home here! You pretty much look like you're at home everywhere you go -- sure sign that home is where the heart is. "The Undercover American" should be the name of a romance novella you write. ^J^
😎😎😎
I am living so vicariously through this European trip of yours! Haven't been back to Italy in about the same time as London (they were a year apart), so this video brought back some great memories. Glad you had a lovely time!
Hope youre back again soon too 🥰🙏
so fun to be on the virtual Europe tour with you! I cried cos I was missing London so much whilst watching your London vlog 🥲 hope you enjoy the rest of your trip 🥰
Thank you so much!!!
Ahh Venice looks stunning!!! 😍✨✨
such a magical place! can't wait to get back to japan tho hehe
I am very happy that you enjoyed my concert in Venice!
It is now a fantastic memory!
omg I literally JUST started planning a reschedule of my first trip to Italy since it was cancelled 2 years ago bc of COVID & I'm once again reliving the excitement of binge-watching travel vlogs in anticipation of my own (finally) up-coming trip 😍 great vid!!
Omg ahhhhhh so excited for you!!! Traveling again felt so strange but so exhilarating 😭🙏
@@caricakes thanks! Glad to see you enjoying yourself too 😊 safe travels!
8:15 Hi Cari, thank you and Kurt for spending the evening with us at the concert. First live music in 2+ years! 😶 Hope you will be able to go to more concerts soon 🤞
Thank you so much 🥹🙏 it really added to the magic of the entire trip. I’ll hold that memory forever!!!!

Hi Cari!! I am so happy to watch the vlog! You literally make my day so much better 💖 , have an amazing day/night!
wahhhh thank YOU! have a great night and day too ^^
cariii i've loved this vlog so much 🥺 i've been following you for a couple of years now and your vlogs in korea have always brought me comfort, but seeing you going around the city i live in just hits different 🥲 im so so glad you had a nice time in venice and that you got to enjoy also the little local spots. i recognised many of the places i often visit to get cicchetti and spritz (the vegetarian meatballs from caffè rosso are my favourite!!!). as you said, seeing different lifestyles can help a lot, and watching your vlogs helped me to see the beauty of little things in life. i'm very happy that now we share some experiences in venice, a city so beautiful that makes me fall in love with it again and again every single day. hope that the rest of your vacation is being wonderful as well 🤍
Oh my goodness this makes me so happy 🥹🥹🥹 give venice my looooove!!!
genuinely made me tear up i dream so much of getting to travel to europe and i have been waiting for these vlogs!!! its so lovely to see u travel :') makes me incredibly emotional!!!!
Cant wait for your future dream trip!!!!
I'm genuinely about to cry at how beautiful these places are, seeing my country through your eyes is so beautiful and made me want to explore my surroundings more, thank you so much Cari
:''''''')
Absolutely loved this video! Felt like I was on holidays as well. The vibe, the music and everything was spot on. Even my boyfriend was secretly watching and he gasped when the chihuahua sat next to you! So cute. The bonus stop at Stressa was also super beautiful, love a good lake!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm italiana and I lived two years in Venice cos' I studied chinese in university (Venice's university it's one of the most famous in Italy for oriental studies ;)). Right now I live and work in Milan and you brought back to me so many memories with your vlog :) Loved seeing my country through your eyes :)
Hi! Italian here from Venice :-) for anyone who loves Venezia and are going to visit the city, next time go and see Padova (Padua), it's 20 mins train ride from Venezia, it's much much cheaper and it's rather big and soooo beautiful! x
also! Must to-do places in Venezia: Campo santa Margherita, Bacareto da Lele and Squero di San Trovaso!!
Aah, this will be perfect to watch after I finish studying and finishing my deadline! gonna enjoy this virtual trip before I get the chance to travel internationally again. I tend to have a hard time capturing or recording moments while I am traveling, so thank you for your efforts :') enjoy the rest of your trip
Yay we love met deadlines!!!
I swear Italy is like a wonderful dream
😂🥰🥰
I live 30 minutes by train from Venice , I have to say that this video made me fall in love with this beautiful town once again.
I need to go back there soon :)
I absolutely love these european vlogs, they’re giving me so much life 😭❤️ And they’re longer than usual which is such a big plus! Really hope we’ll get as many as possible, thank you for treating us to them✨
Thank you 😭🙏😭🙏
How long did you stay in Venice? Planning a trip and right now 1 full day & a 1/2 day. I am debating if I should spend two full days there to soak up the experience there, would love to get your feedback :) thanks
My Nonni used to make us bacalao. Straight up salted codfish, with olive oil and fresh garlic....
tutto sommato l'Italia non fa così schifo dai ..... qualcosa si può salvare.... è normale che Venezia sia più cara di Stresa che comunque non è economica 🤣
I've lived in Venice for two years, and now I live in a city 30 minutes by train from it, and every minute of this video melted my heart 🥺
Ps: Venice is actually not expensive at all if you know the right spots, it just take a while to find them and tourists don't usually have this kind of time
Everything in Italy is expensive compared to Korea tho 😂
@@caricakes unfortunately I can't compare Korean and Italian prices hahahaha
italy just looks like it has so much character
Everything and everyone is loud and passionate in the best way haha
People don't think you are American, cause you don't act like it. Which by the way is great. You are not loud or offensive, you respect different cultures and celebrate them. It's actually so refreshing to see and will hopefully inspire other people.
it feels so strange because in this vlog there are both the place I’ve been living for the last two years (Venice) and the place where I was born and grew up (Lago Maggiore), as if you were having a trip in my life :)
Yours homes are a dream 😭🙏
As far as the Baccala Mantecato, if you go to the Osteria Santa Marina or Hosteria Da Franz, you will get a version which is far, far, superior to the cichetti bars.
Just a quick note to tell you that, in preparation for our trip to Italy including Venice, I have watched what seems like hundreds of RUclips videos. Yours was the best overall - great content, editing, videography. That’s for making it.
Thank you so much! Hope you have a great time!!
Cari…I truly love all your vlogs. But this one…it was EXQUISITE. I watched the entire thing with a sense of awe and wonder. Venice is newly top of my bucket list. Thanks so much for sharing. Love you. (can’t wait to see you when you get back!)
THE TURN DOWN FOR WHAT PART 😭😭😭that killed me
manifesting a summer in venice after this video! :))
Yessss!
I love loved loved following your travel through Europe. Especially the Italy vlogs reminded me of my childhood since I went to Italy almost every summer with my parents. Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments with us! I think I really need to book a flight to Italy for this year :)
i am LITERALLY on the train to venice rn!! I'm a thief lord girly too so I've always wanted to go :))) I'm taking notes during this video on what to do and where to go rn 💌🇮🇹
Omg yeeeeee have so much fun!!
I loved this vlog, Cari! Going to Venice is a huge dream of mine and seeing the city on your vlog makes me want to go there even more
ahhh omg I work right beside the square you had your take away pasta in :,)
I'm so glad you enjoyed Venice! I know it can be rough and to add on what you said about it being expensive, unfortunately they see that you're a tourist and sometimes take advantage of that :( not to mention the fact that obviously the more touristy places have higher prices (I got scared when you went to cafe florian because THAT is like the most expensive place ever but it is so beautiful so I think it's worth it for a one time thing!)
Next time you're there you should go directly to the stadium to see the football match! It's in a small island right beside Castello (as long as they manage to keep it up to date with all the safety and space regulations!) and it's quite the experience ahahahahah
x
Omg THATS where all the people went!! We saw people dressed up heading to the castello area thinking they were going to a bar 😂 and yeah florian was definitely a special case, thats why i went alone to save money ahhaha
Such a peaceful vlog with lovely vibes~~ my mum's also in Italy now and unfortunately I can't be there with her as I'm working ... Would rlly love to visit Italy one day too:)
cari, if it isnt too much please make a video of how much you spent (airfare, accommodation, food) on your trip and what places first timers should visit 🙏🏼🙏🏼 one of my goals is to go on a europe trip before i turn 30 but not sure how much i need to save 🤍
This is THEE vlog I was waiting for (from your recent Instagram travels) 😆 I do not care how touristy it is, I fell in love with the buildings of Venice on my first backpacking trip at 19, and have only been back for a more dedicated trip once since (Italy twice though, it’s just my favorite in general).
It was completely unexpected, I had zero expectations (my mom had pumped me up for France cause it’s HER favorite), but then all the things happened when I got there. The birds sang sweeter, the sunlight more golden, the air tasted better, it seemed like life was in slow motion and I felt utterly beautiful just standing inside it. Complete idealistic silly adolescent puppy love at first sight.
I return to post Covid international travel in 2023 and I’ll finally get to go back if all goes well. So this vlog is making me so completely happy.
I’m only ten minutes in but I keep pausing to take breaks and make it last longer. To live vicariously through you just another minute.
Thank you Cari! ❤️❤️❤️
I know the feeling exactly 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
that tea room looked so stunning!! love venice soo much, i started learning italian a few months ago :))
Wahhhh good luck!!
I'm going to Italy tomorrow and to Venice on Wednesday! I haven't searched for tourist attractions and restaurants yet, but watching this vlog made me so hyped up!! Lovely vlog as always XD
My gosh, I didn't know where to go during my September holidays and since I live in Spain and it's my first time organizing a trip to another country, Venice now seems like the perfect place! Thank you so much, as always, for all the great ideas and content
Have been to Venice a couple of times and absolutely love it. The Doge's Palace is amazing.
Edit: my man had to have an expresso at a cafe every single morning we were there.
🥰🙏 hope you can visit again!
Such a lovely vlog as always! I’ve loved all your European vlogs- feels like we are coming on a trip with you 🥰 a couple of my friends recently went to Venice for their anniversary and said the same as you- it was so beautiful, but very touristy. Hope you have a restful time in Paris! Xx
Thank you!!!
venice looks so pretty, right out of a movie! i'd love to visit there someday :)
This vlog is one of my favorites you’ve posted so far!
I love Italy and it’s one of my dreams to visit there too! Your vlogs always makes me feel like im there with you so I felt like I was there in Italy! Thank you for the great content!
Thank you so much!!!!
This was just magical!!! I’ve always wanted to learn how to blow glass. What an incredible art and skill. So happy you got to go on such an amazing adventure together. 💚
It was WILD. Now I’m walking around looking at glass things with so much more respect 😂
yayyyyyyy... Another one is here.. just keep them coming. I'm obsessed. Love from India. ❤️
💘💘💘
This vlog is making me so emotional! I'm Italian and I've spent five years in Venezia, studying at the university. It is my favorite city in the world and seeing it again through your eyes made me almost tear up. I am living in the Netherlands now, but I'll be back for the summer and I cannot wait to visit it again ❤ Thank you for the feels and have an amazing stay in Europe!
🥹🙏🥹🙏
I looked up the tea shop and it said that the caffe florian tea room is $$$$. How expensive was it? Love making memorable moments but like to plan balance of expensive and cheap
very expensive lol i believe what i got (the tea and croissant) was over 20 euro...
The Florian is the most expensive cafe in Venice. An espresso is 7€ if I remember well. I like their tea selection, because in Italy it can be difficult to find good tea, but it is between 10€ and 15€. If you go there for breakfast is not crowded yet so it is a great time to enjoy the experience.
Highlights for me…the turtle stack, the Italian little lending library, the glass blowing class, Stresa, the lovely tea cafe in Venice…so glad you had quality time with Kurt seeing and experiencing the world together. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you!!!!
Dear Cari, this is such a WONDERFUL vlog!! I love all of your vlogs, but this one is really particular. I can't stop watching it, I already watched it around six times haha 😇 You transmit the Venice vibes so good. It makes me feel so happy, and I feel that you were very happy while staying there, right?? Also, I loved the Thief Lord, too, as a kid. You make me want to read it again! Keep up doing these wonderful vlogs and I wish you many more happy adventures in the future 🧡
I'm so excited to start traveling again! I've been to Venice and I loved it so this brought back so many great memories and next month I'm visiting Rome and I couldn't be happier because I was planning to go and then it was cancelled because of Covid so I'm very happy about it now💕✨
Such a lovely vlog! Thank you so much🥰
Awesome video. 👍 ciao from italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Thank you!
I just haven't gone on vacation because I have a late Covid. Forced to sit at home, I felt very bad until I discovered your volg from the road. I feel him wandering with you through the cities, Some are close to me and known in others I have not been yet. I live in Scotland and it was nice to travel with you and your friend along the same route I started my last summer vacation. Thank you for illuminating my life with your journey. I invite you to Poland where not only Krakow is a beautiful city. Get to know Jelenia Góra, Wrocław, Łódż, Gdańsk, Sopot, Zamość, Opole, Kazimierz and many others. Regions such as the Sudety and Lower Silesia, Mazury, and Podlasie. Food, places, hotels and people will delight you with, I promises. I am only add that I like you because you similar like me have got ginger , red hair . People call me Ruda or Corrosion because of hair .
As I’m living vicariously through you right now, these long vlogs are everything! What a gorgeous trip. Thank you for taking the time to film & share your vacation with us. Note to self; don’t watch while hungry. 😆
Thank you for watching and omg yes have a snack for the italy vlogs hahah
oh gosh when you said you were going to see a concert at a church i was hoping it would be vivaldi’s!! this vlog was just a shot of nostalgia for me, i traveled to italy in high school on a baroque orchestra performance tour years ago and performed (vivaldi!) in that very cathedral. thank you for the lovely vlog 🥰 hits the travel bug spot while i wait for my turn to see the world again.
Oh my goodness thats amazing! That must have been such a magical experience!!!
hoping for you to visit south italy next time, they call my place the maldives of italy for a reason + food is so much better and cheaper 😔
We’d love to!
lovely vlog, Cari (como siempre) ❤️ you guys have to add Madrid next time alrightyyyy
Love Italy.
Early morning is Imho best time to visit Mark's Square.
We went at 0600 and followed the street cleaners when they finished worked to best workers cafe at the best prices.
Great coffee and food but not at tourist prices.
Wife is a Florence fanatic.
She spent a whole afternoon just on the Ponite Vecchio looking in all the jewellery shops.
I still love Rome for the history and Sorrento (mainly for Pompeii and Herculanium )
How beautiful! ❤
Could you please share the name of the song from the beginning? It's just out of this world!
I already would like to visit Italy because of the movie "Call me by your name", specifically in the summer. But now, because of your video, I want harder! Hope one day I can go from Brazil to visit Italy.
Hi Kari, I was wondering if you'd consider recording a video about general practical tips for traveling around Korea (transport, is is better to pay cash or card, tipping culture, things to watch out for, any cultural things we should know about, dress code, best maps / translator apps etc).
Have fun in Europe! I live in Glasgow so if you ever need travel advice about Scotland hit me up
I'm venetian and you made me fall in love with my city. Subscibed!
This was lovely, thanks for sharing. I remember that that Peggy Guggenheim Museum was a great place to just sit and watch the comings and goings on the canal. Oh, that yellow coat would have looked fabulous on you!
Already I wondering North Italian coadtline and architecture. Espeically I love ctiy apperance. Venice is private ctiy in the world beacuse history quarters so large and contain historical points. But I dont like Venice food and beverage becuuse isnt quality comprassion Paris and London.
I love Venice one of my my all time favourite places. I got the sleeper train from Paris to Venice when I was in my 20s, I'm 40 now definitely time to re visit!
Omg i think they got rid of that during covid cause we were thinking of doing it - hopefully it’s back soon!
I am new to your channel and the place is amazing!!!!! I didn't know what to expect but this video was wonderful.
Hi Cari,
Thank you for sharing this awesome experience. Your vlogs bring me so much joy ❤️

Happy you enjoyed your stay in Venice (my hometown). If you ever go back, better choose a B&B accomodation with your own kitchen so you can save a lot .
I can tell you’re having a good time. I’m so happy for you and Kurt. I’ll get to go Italy for the first time in a couple of weeks. Super stoked. Going with EFT and my youngest kiddo. How long was your whole trip? Enjoy the rest of your vacay!

This video made me so excited and tingly because I really want to travel like this, but unfortunately don’t have money right now :( I hope I can travel like you in the future
Rewatched the video because I go to Venice in a month. The beauty of this place just from the video and knowing that my dream will come soon true make me cry. Thank you
Venice looks really nice but personally I would really rather visit South Korea … xx
What camera do you use for vloging? Just discovered and subscribed to your channel, it is so fun to watch :)
Hi Cari.. I am wondering where did you get/buy your red string bracelet? 😅❤
You're so sweet 🥰🥰🥰
So happy to see people travelling again! It's definitively giving me the travel bug! I used to pick a new country to travel to every year but my last trip was in October of 2019. Hoping to go somewhere soon!
Question, but since it's a city basically in water are there an insane amount of mosquitos?
Hi friend i am joko from indonesia.. its beautiful venice..i like sailing..on it n enjoy panorama..its beautifull momento to keep
Omg when I see a dog I act just like you🥹. Amazing video!

I‘m so in love with your Europe vlogs!!❤️ It just feels like I‘m also on vacation. Might go on a little trip in fall. But probably either Sweden or Scotland. Haven‘t decided yet :)

Love that Kirt got on the screen It’s good to step out of your comfort zone. The trip looks amazing.
I just spent 4 days in Rome and it was amazing! I hope to visit other cities one day, Venice looks stunning
Your boyfriend looks like glen from the walking dead.
I lived near Venice as a child and haven't been back since. Really been wanting to, though (definitely also in the "love the city" camp). Was always enthralled with the glass blowing too
🙏🙏🙏
