I've grown up in London and so I have always viewed it as a very busy and chaotic place without really noticing all the old beautiful history and architecture, however, seeing London in your eyes through this video has made me much more aware and appreciative of this charming city. :)
As a Londoner I love seeing this kind of appreciation of the city, it's heartwarming. I literally work next to the London Eye and even though I love London I forget to appreciate the sights I get to see on a day to day basis. Just as I commented you showed Shreks Adventures, literally in the same building as my work, its so fun to see you just walking past the building that I practically live in
Lovely weather..lovely people..lovely n historic London..Miss u much London..been there for 2 years back in 2010 ..Needs prayers to get back to London again..Thnx for lovely vlog
As someone who lives in London I’m always in awe when I see a vlog as beautiful as this because I feel like it opens my eyes to the beauty of the city that sometimes when it’s your home you never fully explore / take advantage of. Thank you cari and I’ll definitely be trying out some of the food places you’ve shown
I guess this is what “living vicariously” through someone else’s experience means! I absolutely felt like i was there with you, seeing the sights and enjoying 🥰 london is one of most favorite cities in the world and i hope i get to visit it one day! Thanks for the wonderful vlog as always💜
I feel exactly the same as you, Cari, about London. I’ve been there many times to shoot on location and a few times just to vacation; it’s the greatest city on Earth. It’s like New York, but then you turn a corner and there’s a 12th Century church. So much history, so much culture, so much diversity. It’s a knockout.
It's the same sun shining down when you're in Seoul, but the difference in architecture of buildings in London changes the way it envelops you. Marvelous.
This has to be the one vlog out of the 100,000’s on RUclips that actually accurately captures the feel and vibe of London and shows why it is such a special place.
I felt so at home in London and other European cities after spending time in Korea, Japan, China, and so forth. I think the fact that everyone spoke fluent English really helped. Even in Austria, Germany ... almost everyone spoke English. I don't know if that played into your love affair with London, but it did with me.
Hi Cari! This was such a lovely vlog. I live in London, but sometimes life becomes so hectic with work and other stressful stuff that I forget how much I love this city. Thank you for the reminder. ❤️
I stayed in London as an AuPair when I was 19 and it was the best year of my life, I miss it every day 😭 Just sitting by the London eye listening to the buskers makes me feel like it's actually quite simple to be happy 😊 (not me finding pret expensive lol 🙈)
i moved to london from the U.S. recently and your videos helped me so much with solo city living abroad - so it’s v nice to see you in that same city 🥲🥲 hope you enjoyed your time !!!!
So happy you vlogged this! I walk thru Trafalgar Square every morning to get to work and seeing you get emotional there reminds me to appreciate this city even on the less happy or special days ❤️
Heading to London in September for the first time, you’re vlog brought such a lovely perspective to London and has made me even more excited for the trip. Thanks for taking your time to share your 5 days. Cheers!
You really got to see the heart of our capital city. My partner is a London girl but we live at the other end of the country now, so it was great to see the city through your eyes. You packed so much into your 5 days, I think I need a lie-down just having watched it ! All the best from the England/ Scotland border, Peter
I'm glad London makes other people feel emotional 🥲 I lived there for 6 years before moving to Seoul~ Thank you for the video Cari, I lowkey cried for the whole 44 minutes 💖
Loving your video thank you. Heartwarming to see another traveller like me who gets emotional when they are loving their travel experiences! Mind you, you are a gorgeous young one in your first years of travelling solo, whereas I am a 65 year old solo female who is obsessed with solo travel and exploring as many new places as possible. I often find myself, like you did, on the verge of tears when I’m wandering around some amazing place and it brings you so much joy! As my favourite saying goes, “ travel is food for the soul!” I hope you continue to love your travel experiences and soak up every opportunity. I’m counting down to this year’s trip which will be 14 weeks exploring Spain, Portugal, Sicily, Malta and Morocco! Safe travels! Cheers from Australia
i've been in love with this city since i was like maybe 7 and i've visited it twice before but i honestly never have enough of it. lately i've been missing it even more and i hope i'll be able to go back there soon. however, watching this vlog is making me so emotional because it's bringing back all the memories and each place i recognize i can see myself a few years ago standing and walking there :(
Your video sums up my experience of London really well. I was there in 2017, right around the time when there were terror attacks all around Europe. The week I was there, there was a terror attack on London Bridge. We were riding the metro right past it, and it was super scary... but I just remember the Londoners being so extremely nice and friendly all week, just like we can see in your video: random people waving, talking to you, giving you a smile or a compliment. When we were there, lots of people also took a little time out of their busy lives to say a few words to us tourists, thanking us for being here, asking if we were okay, and that really comforted us. Also, London is just so beautiful! ♡
Aaah this vlog comes at the perfect time!!! I am turning 30 this year and I am thinking about going on my first solo trip for my birthday - and London is so high on my list of places I want to go to! Great inspiration!😍
I have the same feeling about remembering the size of places when I was younger. As someone who grew up near London I don't think I appreciate the city, its' a delight to watch someone who is enthusiastic about the city. Thank you for an uplifting nearly 45 minutes.
This video made me feel so good and i'm so happy for you ! I'm a french 19yo girl who just got into med school after pretty much two years of hell between the studies and the pandemic and i've decided that i'm going to london for five days in two month, but as much as i'm exited i was also scared because it's my first solo trip, but after watching your video i'm not scared i'm just impatient to enjoy life and catch a breath so thank you for sharing with us your energy and your joy !!!
Your enthusiasm for being in London would be so me. I've never been to but it's one of my absolute goal and I wish so much I could go. I'm still only at 6mn of watching, but this London vlog is exactly what I wanted it to feel like, the cozy/joyful/safe vibes and all.
I’m an egyptian and the classic food you were eating is called Koshari, it is a classic Egyptian dish made of lentil, rice, fried onion, pasta, garlic, tomato, chickpea and spices. So glad you loved it. We adore it here .
Ohh yes! I knew the name but couldnt tell all the ingredients in it! Thank you! And i just found out there is a place in Seoul that makes it so I’m going to try to get some again soon!
Beautiful ! I'm a Londoner living in Ireland for over 20 yrs. I was back last week, and choked up on the Tube. So nostalgic with all the Stations bringing back memories, that Tube smell, mind the gap. I used to live right behind St.Thomas's Hosp, at 4.36 in your video. The South Bank and St James's Park were my Childhood playgrounds. ❤️
Well, this is officially one of my favorite vlogs ever. Partly because I adore London, but it was also just really relaxing and I felt like I was there. Thank you!
I decided to book a last minute solo trip to London for 14 days next month. This is my first solo trip, so I'm a little nervous. But way more excited than nervous now after watching this!
Travelling is very difficult and stressful for me with my medical conditions and food allergies so I have yet to fly on a plane and I don't typically eat out at restaurants but thank you for taking me with you on this little trip, it really felt like I was there with you! Also I'm really jealous at how calm you were travelling alone as a woman around London. Hopefully I have the courage to do so one day in a place I'm not familiar with!
I was born in London and lived there till we moved to Canada when I was 12, so it's always lovely to see London! I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip! I went back to London in 2019 and lived there for 10 months and it was so nice to see all the amazing historic places and sights! It's definitely a special city 😊
seeing you so emotional about this trip and the people you met made me think about how precious these little adventures and our relationships are. i am slowly realizing i am entering that moment of life when meeting friends becomes more and more difficult, because we are moving around in different directions; and enjoying quality time, going on adventures and having fun days can be very hard, because "adult life" _will_ take all of our time and energy if we allow it. all in all, this was a very special vlog for me too. thanks for sharing, cari ❤i will be more mindful of certain important things from now on.
Giiirl... I am feeling all your feels right about now. I love London and the last trip was in 2016 with my son AND we're going back this September with Grandma too, her first trip abroad!! Can't wait to show her this magical city! Super super excited 🤩
Thank you for reminding me how much I love my country. We have so many people these days who tell me my country is terrible and I am sick of it. I'm so glad you felt welcomed. London is always best early in the morning. I've worked on the South Bank next to the Oxo Tower, near Temple, just off Parliament Square and next to the Tate Modern over the years. My favourite office was on Shaftesbury Avenue and walking from Waterloo station over the Golden Jubilee bridges, up Northumberland Avenue, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and through Chinatown to the office at 8am was just a joy. By the way, just round the corner from Hampton Court is Bushy Park which still has free-roaming deer. Always worth a visit.
London looks so lovely thru your eyes, now i want to go around the city again with a fresh start. it’s amazing how one can forget how magical a place is when they get used to it. thank you Cari 💜
Thank you Cari for this amazing vlog! It brought me so much joy, seeing as it reminded me of my own London trip a few years ago. You went to so many places that I also went to and it was nice to see them again, and how they have changed in the three years it has been since I was there. I legit couldn‘t stop smiling while watching this vlog. It brought up so many good memories. Thank you so much! I needed this. Love from Germany 💖
I did a study abroad in London, so it's super nostalgic to see you going around the city. I hope to go back sometime soon and take my bf to all of the places I used to go. Thanks for taking us with you!
I thought I was over my love for London, but I just forgot how beautiful it is and how much I love it as I haven’t been there since 2017. I’ll defined try to squeeze a trip into my next semester break. Thank you for taking us with you on your vacation, enjoy your time here in Europe :)
I knew you’d make me want to travel to London immediately since you just have the ability to make absolutely every place look incredible. There really isn’t anyone else on youtube who can makes videos like yours. Truly magical. Your videos are such a safe haven 🧡
What a lovely, but quite different take on London. Just walking around and enjoying the diverse spaces is what I love of a city. You have such a good eye for capturing this on video. Thanks.
I found your channel while planning my Europe tour for March 2023. You are so pleasant to watch! London is my first stop, then Paris, and ending in Rome. I’m even more excited after watching your videos. Your reactions to being back in London was so touching. Thank you for sharing.
I lived vicariously through your video as I plan my own London trip. It would be my second time there, but the first one simply overwhelmed me. I feel like you saw and did SO much in a short trip. Thank you for the vid!
OMG!!!! I am gonna cry! I was in that same PRET store, same spot, eating basically the same sandwich in the spring of 2019. Love u, Cari, that memory just came up to me so vividly!!!!! And that was also my first solo trip to London. I hope I can do that again in the near future.
I'm so glad to see solo trip on RUclips, it's so depressed that people have the luxury of having friends and family with them. Solo travelling is not a choice sometimes. I'm so happy to listening to this video, especially in the UK, THANK you so much x
No doubt, England is worthy to be explored. Romantic London is one of my favorite places, especially in winter. Manchester feels like a second home in the UK. Love from Pakistan😍😍😍😍
I lived in London 20 years ago to study English. LONDON is a wonderful, beautiful city. I want to visit there again with my family. Thanks for showing around your trip. Enjoy your travel.
Living in London for years it is refreshing to see how exciting it can be to visit the city. It is typical of us to whine about the weather and how much we just want to get out of here. Glad that you have a good time though
Cari, I've been a subscriber to your book channel for a few years but only recently started watching this one (I know, what was I thinking). I'm enjoying going back and watching past vlogs so much! Your smile through this whole trip made me smile, and now I want to go back to London so bad!
I know I like London but with this vlog, I fell in love. All throughout this video, I couldn't help but wonder what would it feel like to be walking in the streets of London. I know I'll definitely visit this place one day. Maybe not now, but one day ❤️
I smiled through the 45 minutes of this video. London is one of my favourite places ever. I've been lucky enough to visit four times, and this has made me itchy to come back!! It just never gets old!
I live in Central London for my year abroad & walk across Waterloo Bridge every day omw to uni on the Strand! Lovely to see you enjoying my stomping grounds-London is just the best city. So glad you got to visit!!
Hello. My wife and I love your channel. We get so nervous about traveling and being away from home and your videos are so good and really inspire us to get out more. Thanks so much!
London is so magical 🧡 I’ve never been but it just seems like such a lovely place and so peaceful and the people saying hi to you and like being just so wholesome 😭😭😭🥺 Loved every minute of this vlog.
So glad you got perfect weather too! And omg right?! I had some food stalls i wanted to visit in camden but the crowd was impossible to get through so i gave up hahhaa
The whole trip looked so wonderful but i especially want to say how beautiful you are, sun kissed and in blissful happiness. It seemed like the entirety of London wrapped you up in a warm soft glow of sunset affectionately. Happiness looks good on you cari 💝
I have such good memories of London. This was great to watch, and is already giving me ideas for when I head back! Really looking forward to seeing the next parts of your trip!
Took me so much effort to stop myself from commenting until the end of the video. You were so lucky to come over now, Big Ben was unveiled a couple of weeks before your visit. You've visited some of my most favourite places in London: Blackfriars Bridge and St Bride Church are two of them. That's because of my love for Shadowhunters. You know St Bride's Church is the London Institute, right? Hampton Court is one of the places I have visited the most throughout the pandemic. And V&A is the place I visited the most before the pandemic. Both of them feel like they have something new to offer with every visit. At the Tower of London I believe they were installing the huge slide that people should be able to use to reach the moat to enjoy the flowers. Will check it out this weekend and let you know if the flowers have bloomed in time for the Jubilee. I was looking at you continuously smiling while taking in everything around you and you've reminded of me in Seoul. Just like you, I was exhausted, but still found energy to go on every day. I am so happy you've enjoyed being in London. 😊
I've not been feeling so great for the past few days n only saw darkness. Suddenly came across this and it is the brightest light ive seen. thank you so much.
Ah, I didn’t know how much I missed London until I watched this. I used to travel there for work, but COVID and a new job mean I haven’t been since Fall of 2019! I’m hoping to start travelling again soon!
Eating pret just makes you more of a local :D Also, I lived in London for 9 years and left last October. This is the first I've seen of the city since leaving. Thank you for the experience! A lot of familiar locations from my time as a bicycle tourguide.
I don’t know if you kept track and planned this ahead Cari, but I’m so glad you’ve come to visit now because the Big Ben is finally out of its construction bubble !!! Genuinely so happy for you
Cari, I definitely understand your love for London, I went once, but learned about it soooooo much growing up so I became obsessed with it, then when I went there I was beyond happy, same feeling I felt when I also went to Edinborough
London is my favorite place in the world! I just went back and got to stay for a month in the spring and you did so many of the same things I did! So lovely to get to re-live it. Hope you had the best time! PS- if you go back, the line for Dishoom is 1000% worth it, always goes by pretty quick!
love love the travel content again!!! this vlog came at the perfect time as well as I'm going on a trip to london a week today, thanks for the inspiration and for getting me excited to visit the city again! sending you lots of love, hope you're enjoying paris

This vlog makes me miss London so much! It’s indeed a magical city. Dishoom always has a waiting line, no matter the location 😂 But it’s worth waiting!
as a londoner its refreshing to see this city from the eyes of a tourist!! you make this city look so beautiful. also you came at the right time since its a lot more warm and sunny now
Ahh Cari - welcome to the UK!! 💕 Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip and thanks for the wonderful vlog, it’s always nice to get an outside perspective on the city 😊(Also slightly insane that you are in the same time zone as me!!)

Hi, Cari.
Your video reminds me of my family trip to London this summer. I am glad to see your enjoying face. You in Paris as well!
Awesome! 😻
Hi
The two people waving in the back around the 7 minute mark is so wholesome, just adds to the entire vibe of this vid!
I really wish I noticed so I could have at least waved back ahahha
omg I love 'em haha
That made me laugh 😃
I immediately came to the comments to find this hahahaha
Lol I go back there,so cute

🥰🙏🥰🙏
Thank you Cari for this amazing vlog! It brought me so much joy, seeing as it reminded me of my own London trip a few years ago. You went to so many places that I also went to and it was nice to see them again, and how they have changed in the three years it has been since I was there. I legit couldn‘t stop smiling while watching this vlog. It brought up so many good memories. Thank you so much! I needed this. Love from Germany 💖
I did a study abroad in London, so it's super nostalgic to see you going around the city. I hope to go back sometime soon and take my bf to all of the places I used to go.

😂🥹 thank you so much
What a lovely, but quite different take on London. Just walking around and enjoying the diverse spaces is what I love of a city. You have such a good eye for capturing this on video. Thanks.
Not me not even realizing this was almost 45 minutes long bc I just enjoyed every part of it to the fullest
😂🙏

🥹🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks!!

Thanks so much!
I used to live in London for 4 years and this video was very nostalgic to watch 🥹 bon voyage, I hope you enjoy the rest of your travels 💜
Omg i didnt even realize about st brides!! Im glad i stopped for a photo of it 😍😍😍
I've not been feeling so great for the past few days n only saw darkness. Suddenly came across this and it is the brightest light ive seen. thank you so much.
Ah, I didn’t know how much I missed London until I watched this. I used to travel there for work, but COVID and a new job mean I haven’t been since Fall of 2019! I’m hoping to start travelling again soon!
Yesss hope you’re reunited soon!
Can we just acknowledge that Cari is the best Rick Steves of our generation? Always so calming to watch your amazing travel vlogs!

Also, I lived in London for 9 years and left last October. This is the first I've seen of the city since leaving. Thank you for the experience! A lot of familiar locations from my time as a bicycle tourguide.
🥰🙏
I don’t know if you kept track and planned this ahead Cari, but I’m so glad you’ve come to visit now because the Big Ben is finally out of its construction bubble !!! Genuinely so happy for you
