    Gotta love cracking a slab to find fingerprints on it, as you know you're getting a better grade.👌I think it is absolutely CRAZY that there are people who actually say / do "leave the card as is, don't wipe them down." They legit are just throwing $$$ out the door!
    Awesome vid, especially seeing the depth you go for your ppl. I really love the process of subbing cards for friends / customers & especially cracking slabs (mostly BGS / SGC / HGA). It's just a really great feeling knowing your efforts are gonna pay off greatly for them!

    Keep these up!!! Your videos have been a big help. Did you use Kurt’s or Meguires to clean the scratches?

    • @frostyfeetcards
      @frostyfeetcards  Год назад +1

      Meguire's. The only Kurt's product I utilize is the corner tool.

      @@frostyfeetcards honestly the polish alone makes noticeable improvements even in print lines. I’ve held off using their compound unless I’m working on noticeable scratches. Once I get my order back from TAG which should be in a week or so I’ll let you know how they grade.

    Great video, was impressed. I have 1 question: What, if anything would you use in Kurt’s Kit on a 2000 U.D. Encore Tom Brady Rookie. Centering and Corners are better than any PSA 9 that was Sold on EBay. I would like to clean it only, nut I’m nervous of removing some of the many gold lines/letters etc that are all over the card? Just curious what you would do. No grudges whatsoever.

      Honestly I don't use Kurt's for anything. What I use for paper cards with foil is Meguire's Gold Class Paste Wax.

    I have a chrome card with a lifted corner and I can’t get it to stay down. I though about Kurt’s corner tool but didn’t know if it was worth it. Typically you can still see a crease with chrome cards even if you get the corner down so I wasn’t for sure what I should do. Good video as always!

      Hey TJ. It can be tricky with chrome for sure. They don't always pan out but just keep at it and you'll find what works and what doesn't.

    Love the videos after watching your videos I've been looking at a lot closer at my cards for submission. One thing tho you said the PSA doesn't do half number but they gave me an 8.5 on a Kobe card I sent in a few months ago. So is that normal or no? And if it's not would it make it more valuable being they did give 8.5?? Thanks again for the great videos

    • @frostyfeetcards
      @frostyfeetcards  Год назад +1

      It's very very uncommon for them to do so. I've only ever had 1 in my possession but good to see they still do it!

    • @GemRippers
      @GemRippers Год назад +1

      Ya it's certainly uncommon, but they do halves up to 8.5, obviously no 9.5. The .5 is typically added to a card that has GREAT front-side eye appeal, but obviously there is something wrong w the card that caused it to be an 8 or under (ie: a scratch / gash / stain on the back).

    I have used maguire polish on just about every Prizm and Chrome card I’m considering for grading. I did a test submission to Tag to see if their technology picks up the polish. I’m debating sending another 10 to PSA that I cracked from prior grades to see if the polish makes a difference

    for PSA. If there's 2 or less small surface starches then does it knock it to a 9? and if there's one print line that's not obvious, does that also prevent it from a 10?

    • @frostyfeetcards
      @frostyfeetcards  Год назад +1

      Great question. Unfortunately the answer is hit and miss because of subjectivity. There's some with multiple pits and lines that get 10s and sometimes everything is clean outside of a print line and you could still get an 8. It's on the eye of the beholder when they are grading.
