Now that the GM/GM is released... I'm gonna try to kit bash the two... If I'm skilled enough... Integrate the GM/GM into this to make its articulation better.
if you have those builder parts and that cardboard looking thing you can build it... that or you have a machine that can convert your spare runners that can create new ones
@@dragonoidmagnus837 yeah this thing will send you straight to hell considering this MS is bright yellow. This thing is a giant bullseye. Everybody will be aiming for you.
Well it's not that bad when you compare it to, say, the entirely bright red Guncannon ! But yeah most MSs don't really have good military color schemes.
I've recently decided to start going beyond straight assembly and into painting and detailing, would you say this kit is a good starter kit for customization? I do enjoy the more dakka nature of the Cardigan, and bulky mass production mobile suits are right up my alley so the base model is fine for me.
I kind of expected Bandai to at least included some new hands with the kits but with the extra arms that hold the shields and the cannons are an improvement over the GM thunderbolt
With all the attention Fumina has been getting from Bandai and fans of the Try series...somehow this stands up as a great kit for bashing. "Big, fun, and full of guns" is exactly what a kit-basher wants as extra parts for a custom. If only the recent Fuminas offered the same kind of flexibility for interchanging parts. Some may be useful, for "creative expression", but this one works better with other UC kits in general. Its a great diamond in the rough for anybody to work with.
Is it an Asian kid? This happens every time I say 'kit' into my phone as well but it's funny that you didn't catch it and it says your girlfriend bought you this kid
Does the Powered Arms Powereder really offer more poweredness to the Powered GM Cardigan, like the lightning pack, or is it just exactly the same as what comes with the kit and is just for customizing other kits?
It does come with more weapons. The one that comes with the kit only has the beam cannons while the powered arms comes with gatling gun and missile options as well as another set of forearm gatling guns molded in grey. Considering how fun playing with the arms is I would definitely recommend getting it if you get the Cardigan since it'll give you much more play with the extra arms and weapons.
l337m4s73r Yeah, add-ons are definitely worth it for HGBCs. That's why I'm even more psyched to get my Lightning with its pack this month. Hope Build Burning gets one too. But for now, at least he has his own Build Burning head base. THnx
>it's big, it's fun and it's full of guns Insta buy for me! The guy looks pretty awesome, shame he won't be used more often but then again Winning looks pretty cool because SHIELD CHAINSAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
There is the gundam mk 2 Aeug revive, I thought it's arms look pretty cool, or if you want to stick with the mass production mobile suit type then maybe the gm custom, though I think it's about as dated as the powered gm yet still looks like a good model, one last suggestion would have to be the jesta, the design of it is really cool and the same can be said for its arms.
judeskater93 I meant the add-on packs, the "arms" bring short for armaments, like the powered arms, Gyan arms and such, the powered arms is pretty much the back-pack from the GM powered cardigan, the beam machine gun, mini-guns, large rifles, Rockets, and of course, shields. I wanted to know if anyone thought the other sets would be better, considering the NT-1 already has mini guns....
The GM TYPE C shares the same hand type as this and comes with some extras. i own both and with a little paint on the hands off that work great for this.
Yeah, I've been told that many times but I always feel like an idiot with pronunciation. I thought GM stood for General-Purpose Mobile-Suit and I've never been a fan of phonetically pronouncing acronyms :/
Damn, eagle eyes over here! Yes, this is the first time I used krylon. I bought it because it was significantly cheaper than anything else. Some dust accidentally got into one of the layers too :( I'll try using it again with different techniques before giving up on it.
The one I got was Matte with UV protection. It looks okay on this kit but I'm going to try some different things with it next time around before making a final decision.
The Powered GM Cardigan was the embodiment of Fumina and her Gunpla club's troubles at the start of the season. Just look at it. It's clearly designed to fight a one woman war.
Coree Russell her second one was just a support unit so i guess showing she was helping her friends and her third suit was her own weapon of mass destruction
Thanks for the info :) Yup, I like how the Ez8's low profile yet cool appearance with great details. It also comes with extra gadgets in separate purchase.
See fumina and the cardigan are the one of the few decent things to come from any build show however it still suffers from the same major design flaw from thunderbolt... those god damn stupidly pointless arms... seriously any damn small force to those arms and they would snap but other then that it beats the hell outta the rest off the bull that bandai and sunrise try to pass off as mobile suits
Gary Chief I agree, he should really stop trying to paint and panel line because he sucks at it, unless looking like shit is what he's going for. I'm not a fan of panel lining anyway, but it's as if he does it with his eyes closed. he is good at reviewing, just terrible at painting and panel lining.
RUclips is being stupid again, I stopped watching for about a month (sorry about that I do still adore your reviews, I just got back into gundam cuz I got a paycheck now yay!) but I come back and I'm unsubscribed, I love your channel, not sure if this is just a me thing or if its bigger but I'd just look into it a bit cuz I know it's happened to other youtubers before
Put this behind the super fumina and it looks like a stand from jojo
"Is ThAt a JoJo rEfErEnCe?!?!?"

dragonoid ivan you mean PlaPlate?
@@failed_K ya dont know where you can buy a plaplate dispenser (I dont know if thats right tho)
This thing looks like a GM Thunderbolt mixed with the ZZ Gundam and Gundam Alex
That's exactly what it is
But its one hell of a unit imagin if you piloted this ms

@@LoliMaster69227 but if your a newtype... the hell will come for your enemies
This is my personal favorite kit from the whole anime. Partly because it feels much like one I would pilot.

ZYR47 Honestly, any kit is a good place to start with experimentation.
UZ NEVA CAN HAZ ENOUGH DAKKA!!
Your reviews are so cleverly written...Keep it up!
lol, stick around long enough and you;ll soon find it's all VERY formulaic.
I kind of expected Bandai to at least included some new hands with the kits but with the extra arms that hold the shields and the cannons are an improvement over the GM thunderbolt
Yeah, the weapon arms are pretty damn cool.
Great review bro!!! I know I'm super late to the game but I love the look of this Gundam and absolutely need this kit...
Its big, its fun, its full of guns XD

Miss your reviews man
The articulation on the GM Cardigan is similar to the Exia, only with the knees and elbows reversed.
I may just buy this for the backpack
Guy who tries to live life you can actually get a kit that is just the back pack for like tens of dollars online
That GM is a beast
I actually really like the panel-lining you did on this model....which method did you use?
Did you use a clear coat on the kit? I've noticed this on your other kits as well.
Yes. I paint -> then glossy -> then panel line -> then flatcoat
***** What type of paint do you use?
Tamiya (acrylic). Though, I don't paint everything, just add in the details I feel are necessary.
@@TYPEV3 What do use for panel lining?
my girlfriend just bought me this kid I'm actually thinking about painting the yellow a different color

Big. Bulk. And full of Guns. Yepp sounds good to me! Thx for the nice review TypeV3!
No problem!
It's basically a thunderbolt model kits

Wonder when this build fighter kit will be on 1/100 mg..
sharifah jaafar Probably... never.
Hey type I'm thinking of getting the powered arms for my gundam NT-1 would you recommend any other arms set's other than the powered?
There is the gundam mk 2 Aeug revive, I thought it's arms look pretty cool, or if you want to stick with the mass production mobile suit type then maybe the gm custom, though I think it's about as dated as the powered gm yet still looks like a good model, one last suggestion would have to be the jesta, the design of it is really cool and the same can be said for its arms.

4:15 you only get ONE extra right hand? And the only left hand is an open palm? Then I would only buy this to get the backpack
Excellent review Type V3 :)
Do you panel line, after the applying the Flat Spray?
And what do you Use for panel linning?
Julio Ruiz No, panel line first. Flat coat is the very last step, even after stickers/decals. I use a special enamel paint mix with a paintbrush.
tbh, I did not like working with the shield attachments, my model foregoes this.
LIGHTNING GUNDAM
if I get this I'll definitely have to get the jigen hao hands so it can have two holding hands.
***** ill have to pick that up at some point

Caffeine_powered_Zaku thanks for the info!
I'd say it's more of a custard yellow than a lemon yellow. Lemon yellow is more saturated.
Will you be getting Winning Gundan then?
F yeah! Fumina's the best!
anyone else noticing the hinges for the shields and guns pop apart as soon as moved? Any tips for this?
Why only Build Fighters. Gotta diversify your Gunpla man
Gundam Build Fighters is the most diverse Gundam series in the franchise.
nice ending
Bandai logic: Bulky design + 8 years old Gunpla = Success!
To be fair, that whole concept is kind of the point of BUILD FIGHTERS - one giant toy commercial to sell older kits with some upgrades.
.....BUT THE WINNING REPLACED IT
Nice review, this looks really cool (just FYI but GM is pronounced as "jim" btw)
Yeah, I've been told that many times but I always feel like an idiot with pronunciation. I thought GM stood for General-Purpose Mobile-Suit and I've never been a fan of phonetically pronouncing acronyms :/
well yes but no
its pronounced G M like General Motors
Wow
Your topcoat looks grainy- are you using krylon topcoat?

Gm sniper k9

Thanks for the info :) Yup, I like how the Ez8's low profile yet cool appearance with great details. It also comes with extra gadgets in separate purchase.
would you give this to an 8 year old or give him mega shiki
Depends. Can you trust that 8 year old with a knife? If yes, the. Either will do. If no, then stick to Lego.
I won't lie ,this kit looks like War Machine from Iron Man series lol
It has a mini-gun and rocket launcher replacement for the cannons sooo.......

Lightning gundam!!!!!
