To everyone asking if you can make this gate 5ft wide. Yes, you can, but you would probably want some better hinges. These hinges look like trash. The size of the gate is only determined by the wood that you cut for it.

I wish the instructions in the box matched this video. My kit came with a box labeled “wood screws” so I used them for the frame. But apparently the wood screws for the frame were in a separate unlabeled bag. And the paper directions said 59 inches for the side boards, not 60. Frustrating.

Can the gate be finished with horrizontal boards on both sides of the door so the fence can have the finished look on both sides?

Hi, there is Thumb Latch instructions inside the package but if you look at any video with this thumb latch style they are all very similar.

hi Richard, Yes a lock can be used on the gate latch that comes in the Gate Kit pack. This latch does actually dead bolt lock from the inside as well.
I will try to do it with Woodglut plans.
I did it myself with the Woodbex plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.

I had the same question. On their website it says up to 60 inches wide and above that you gotta add supports.
@@walterdudman123 I will work. I built my fence and it looks a amazing. You can order the rubber strips to make it look like the rest of the fence.
