I think you should do an indoor comparison, since Trackman is radar based it will be more accurate over the length of the shot and the camera based launch monitors are going off of a formula. But indoors, since Trackman doesn’t have the entirety of the range to monitor, it has to similarly go off of a formula to determine the total carry, etc., so I think that the numbers may be a bit closer, also you can test it with premium balls which will give you the most accurate numbers.
Not sure if I'd call $3500 a "discount", but it seems to do a lot of what golfers want. I'd consider it if I had the cash. Also, your review was so good. I love the way you point out the details and show some of the key features. Keep up the great content!
I agree with @GeezerTony the strike where the face turned the ball is further away from the dot than it is on the second one where the face was square. Clearly the ball was on the face but towards the heal - what a great asset to have to understand what is going on during your practice shots.
First off Thank you for doing this review it's an incredible amount of work. I had not heard of the Uneekor before but it's nice to see the price coming down on this type of technology while the quality of the information is still remaining high.
I don't get why there wasn't more discussion about face and path angles. Most of us can hit the ball, it's getting and keeping it on line that's the struggle.
Is the club path affected by the set up as suggested? The Trackman doesn’t seem to be set up parallel to the target. Not sure how they adjust or if that’s critical for accurate path angle data.
@@johnjoseph9536Obviously. I was referring to comparing the head and path related measurements of the Uneekor to those of the Trackman or GC Quad. Ball speed and distance are not that interesting, IMO.
Toe turns over at/after impact if you hit the ball inside the middle of the clubface (towards the heel). It will roll open if contact is made outside the middle of the clubface (towards the toe). I don't think it was you turning it over, it was the recoil of the off center impact. Also a snap hook will be the result of BOTH the path and face, not just one or the other.
Hi Matt really enjoy your equipment reviews. I would like to see a review of the Dewiz. Like the last guy I have problem with constant club path and club face at impact and thought this might be a good product to get. I looks to provide more info than hack motion.
Love it! Definitely highlights what us Mini users already knew, club speed is very inconsistent so the smash factor is messed up. Ball speed is pretty decent tho.
I think the camera based systems like Uneekor or Foresight are better indoors & better for simulation gameplay. I don't like Trackman because you're locked into their own sim software which costs $1k a year & also the warranty program for $1k a year. Uneekor uses just about all major sim programs. You can decide which one you like best. As far as accuracy unless your an elite golfer you don't need a Trackman...A GC3 or Uneekor will be just fine.
Those seem like some pretty big differences in yardage carried and total distance how do we know which one is more accurate? Do we just assume Trackman is more accurate because its more expensive?
Great comparison, thank you for doing this. To make this a more effective comparison, please figure out the actual flight and carry on range. Who says the trackman is more accurate unless compared to actual on range numbers. Granted its not normalized
I would have went GC3/BLP but the more I researched I got the feeling that they will jack up the 3rd party sub $$$ required for GSPRO. Uneekor at least seems committed to supporting 3rd party software, no workaround , big plus for me.
Matt..Can you set the lofts of the clubs with this Uneekor unit, and how much better is this unit then the Rapsodo mLM Pro which is much cheaper in cost?? Thanks...
I’m with @5565tolly , it seems like the industry standard for camera-based monitors is the GC Quad. Their lower end version is the Bushnell collab for $3.5k, same as this above, but I think that has 3 cameras.
Bushnell Launch pro also has very high annual subscriptions. EYE Mini has none. Eye Mini also has the exact same data parameters as the GC3, plus shows a slow motion video of the face at impact.
It's interesting to see these comparisons but it assumes that Trackman is accurate. I saw a test where they took a GCQuad and a Trackman on a range and compared it to actual measured distances... there was a material difference
ive seen the comparisons before with track man and other devices... question is how do we know the TM is accurate 100% i know because its 25k it should be perfect but maybe the other one is perfect lol.. food for thought
Because when used outdoors trackman is actually tracking the ball and reporting what it is actually doing. It is not relying on algorithms and formulas to approximate what will happen based on contact information. That is why the other guy in the comments suggested an indoor test so you can compare the Uneekor against the trackman when they are both approximating ball performance.
Well a camera based unit is capturing the first few milliseconds of ball flight. It knows how much the ball is spinning and how fast it is traveling by comparing the amount it has spun/traveled between the handful of frames it’s collected. If you hit a low spinning ball, it should see less spin in the frames it captures and vise versa. If you hit a cheap Top Flite versus a Pro V1 that comes off the face with more speed, that is also going to be seen by the camera. It doesn’t need ball flight. The only additional thing a radar system can see is forces that affect the ball in the air long after it is struck (wind, for example). But there’s no wind indoors.
Great info Matt. Since no one pays me to play golf and I pay for my own greens fees etc. I think I will save the $3.5k to $25k to use for on course expenses like beers and shots after a birdie. 🙃
SG love all your vids if bought any these units does any one those come with the bloody mary mixologist 😅 for the prices wanted any these units it should come with a cocktail waitresses as well 😅 keep them rolling ill keep watching
Hi ! What do you think about « full swing » radar ? I don’t know if you tried it before ? Différences between full swing And TRACKMAN are they important ? Thanks for your advices..bye bye . Remi.
Here's what gets me is how many times I see trackman show up. Cmon all these people are not putting up 25k... There must be discounts out there, I can see Joe off the street who can spend $$ , but where are all these people getting the track?
I know you don’t have a GC Quad, but I’m not comparing a camera based unit to a radar based unit regardless of how much a Trackman is. It’s a good guide, but not apples to apples for me
Why not? This is a great comparison especially as it’s outdoors for the Trackman. Obviously Trackman carry outdoors will be adjusted but ball speed is still a good indicator of accuracy.
@paybax because the radar will track the whole ball flight but the camera is using a snap shot, needed to be indoor for a "fair" comparison. Would be like me asking you to judge the speed a vehicle is traveling at by a, listening through a wall and b, watching it drive past.
@mrshortgame Next test, how about you actually measure the real results of the shot to compare if Trackman, GC$, or the EYE is truly accurate. This test is comparing 2 guesses. Just have a guy out there and he can laser back to you for actual results.
I love the videos, but why doesn’t anyone actually pace out of measure the true carry and roll. 113.5yards!!!!! Is it really. One monitor vs another has no true grounded basis….. calculated vs calculated.
Love your RUclips and IG pages, but who in reality can afford a $3000 dollar simulator. I can’t. Even if I had the $ I have a wife and two kids. Still not in the everyday life budget.
Unless we are top professional golfers looking for that extra perfection, the cheaper launch monitors will do just fine. For me, I would be interested in just the distances the launch monitor will give me so I don't have to walk every shot off I hit. The rest of the information is all BS to me. If I need more help, I go to a professional who would have better equipment. I just do golf now for the exercise, so all these fancy launch monitors are a waste of money for the average golfer.
Great review Matt!! Would love to get on one of those to get my numbers dialed in!! I have an approximate estimation on how far I hit everything but I think that is more exact!!🏌♂⛳
Would be interesting to have someone stand down range to mark carry on these to match up what each unit gives vs actual
Only $ 3500? I'll jump in the Lambo and get one Monday.

Ball speeds definitely low with the driver!! Would love to see more but both of those shots were 4mph slower than the trackman with ball speed

Why was club head speed consistently 4-5mph off?
How do the subscriptions work?
Launch monitors remind me of televisions. Remember when a 42" plasma was at least 4 thousand dollars?
Give them all a few more years.
I suppose in the absence of a launch monitor you could just look up and watch the ball flight? 😁
Curious how camera based launch monitors determine total carry, formula? Does the ball matter?
good question

Are there subscriptions needed? Is the Bushnell a two camera ? I wonder which ones better between those two?
Could the difference in distance be because the Trackman is about 10-12 feet behind the tee?
Trackman is radar.
Does it have simulation software? Online gaming? Skills?
