    Just FYI... 2021 TPWD Flounder Daily Bag: 5 Min Length: 15 inches Max Length: No limit
    Daily bag is 5 fish except Nov 1 - Dec 14 (fishery closed; bag limit = 0).
    Possession limit = the daily bag. I admire the sense of protection you have for our fisheries and love your videos man. Please keep it up man!

    I bought a Hollowpoint UL spinning rod just to throw those flats buggs. Easier than with the UL baitcaster. Hooked a red with it yesterday but he got off. Small hooks and a bendy rod can make hooksets a challenge.

    • @MDLRFishing
      @MDLRFishing  3 года назад

      Just set the drag to 2 to 3 lbs and a quick flick of the wrist will set that hook. Your drag will give way before your line snaps.

    Great video and you can't keep any flounder from November 1st to December 15th this year

    • @MDLRFishing

      Thanks for the clarification, That’s what I was thinking when I really stopped to think about it. 😂

      Lol, when i heard Mark say it, i immediately when to check on the TPWD site and was about to remove my photos i posted of my stringer yesterday. :) It would’ve been an honest mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. Thanks for the clarification.

    Hey Mark...great video! Were the waters you fished accessible in your Old Town autopilot?

    • @MDLRFishing
      @MDLRFishing  3 года назад +1

      The Autopilot actually performs better than any of the other Old Town PDL drive kayaks in shallow water. I just don’t use it much because it’s too heavy and moves very slow from spot to spot.
