Rugby League, AFL & Union is about building spirit of courage, strength, dealing with adversity & overcoming challenges. For me the men who fought in both World War I & World War II, who came from those States applied what they learnt, adapted & put together on the playing field, they put on military field. For me this is why Australian sporting codes need to remember the ANZAC Spirit.

Its a shame that they do not display the correct flag , that our boys died under ,as the blue ensign, that is shown at every ANZAC day is incorrect , the troops died under the red ensign

Have you ever served in the military? If you have you would never say what you have. I served in the RAAF for 30 years always in Australia and never overseas. The last job I had was as a Military Support Officer. A big part of that job was going within 24 hours into a house with a social worker after the RAAF member in that house had died for whatever reason - car accident, cancer, heart attack, military accident, suicide, whatever. At one stage I had 8 deaths in an 11 month period. I later spoke to some Army special forces people, who when told of what I had to do and deal with, said they would rather be shot at than do what I did. That's not big noting myself - it is just the job I had to do. Just come to my place and I will let you read the notes of what I had to do in the about 7 days after the death and we'll see how you would have coped with the job. The military is seen where you sign an open cheque to give yourself totally to the country. That includes giving your life if it needs be. Otherwise show us all when you have had to put it all on the line.

Talks about remembering what ANZAC day is about & forgets about the NZ. Australia is forgetting even on the days set aside for remembrance

Mate I will copy & paste something I wrote for another mentioning the same.
Mate, we all got caught off guard by that slip.
But give the guy a break, I’m sure he was nervous being on screen under the spot light. I’m sure as soon as he realised, he wanted to fix it. But the questions just kept coming…..
No Australian or New Zealander would ever forget the ANZAC code. Not one of us would ever forget ANZAC’s are a brotherhood of two nations forged by spilt blood.

Talks about ANZAC spirit and only mentions Aussie troops on the shores of Gallipoli, bit of a slap in the face for the Kiwis who died on those shores. I wonder if he knows what ANZAC actually stands for.
