That's because it's a phenomenon where maybe one or two people post semi-hate, someone defends him, and then suddenly someone sees the defence, and without reading the hate, repeats the defence. So on and so forth, people see defence against hate, and start defending him too, without even looking at the hate, which at this point is drowned out and barely exists, if it even existed in the first place.

I'm just learning the uke so this is what it sounded and looked like to me. I kept trying F as the quad, but it never sounded right or similar to what he played. A- major was the closest. Also, while he played, I noticed extra strums or placeholder strums (not sure what they're called) , so I added them into my notes, bc it sounded WAY better.

I completely enjoyed and followed this tutorial until about the 12:30 minute mark. he never discussed cord progressions!! which was a little frustrating, just meant I had to look REALLY hard at his fingers while he was playing. I eventually figured it out but it certainly would’ve been helpful if he went over it in the video! lovely song and I’m glad I found it.

Ok, so I'm a newby when it comes to uke playing, & have been watching tons of tutorials. This guy, so far, is my absolute favorite! Your camera angles of what you are doing is spot on. You don't waste MY time with mindless chatter & get to the point. You present the chords & strumming patterns, give helpful hints along the way, & move on to putting it all together... slower speed, then up to tempo. Can't speak for anyone else's learning patterns.... but as for myself, I'm digging your RUclips teaching style, & look forward to checking out more of your videos (after this lesson sinks in a little more ~ lol). Thank you, for putting in time to do this... I have benefited!!! :)

For the “D” chord you could also take the thumb of your hand that’s holding the ukulele and press it against the 3 strings to make the “D” sound instead of squishing your fingers or awkwardly placing your fingers on the 3 strings while lifting it above the 4th string

    • @AllForUke

Thumb coming over the top of the neck onto the GCE strings? Maybe, but not ideal for changing to other chords after. Using the options I give will take some time and practice to get used to, but it'd definitely doable. Thanks for the suggestion - Kevin

uke is a melody instrument and pupils enjoy finding a single note sequence of a scalic tune like
Doh a Deer -so long as they can eventually sing it 1st-The music comes from the stored memories of the hearing memory cortex before getting to the larynx/fingers ,arms which is another story of the rhythmic memory.
The skill of teaching it is to instill curiosity in puplis so they learn themselves ad others

I was having so much trouble with DDUD cause it didn’t sound beautifully like his. Then I added the extra up like he does and it transitions better. (Idk anything about music this is just me hearing and playing along by ear. Sorry.)
