In this ukulele lesson, we will learn the most beautiful and romantic chord progression.
The instrumental used in this lesson is called Romantic Vibe.
How do we make a chord progression sound more romantic? The answer is simple: Use maj7 chords.
The major 7th chord is one of the most romantic chords in music. It can easily transform a simple and boring chord progression into something romantic and unique.
The chord progression we will learn in this ukulele lesson is in the key of G major, and it is mainly played with just two chords: G major and C major.
We will change the basic chords into maj7 chords.

...already up to 1.5k now and just one week ago at this point. Wait till people catch on. Especially the musical people who are more interested in playing the uke with this finger pick style rather than just learning how to chord and sing some cute fun songs to with it. I grew up studying classical piano so the finger picking style speaks to my soul and that's the style I'm dying to learn with the Ukulele. He's a little newer to RUclips than some of the others but I don't think it'll take too much time before he catches on. Just wait...

So happy I found this. I actually fell asleep with my uke in my hands last night. When my daughter had company over and I was sitting practicing, I got up to leave and she said "Mom, please don't stop playing". So while her friends came with all their kids I just sat there outside and played this progression in the background while she visited. (and im only half-way thru the tutorial lol) Later she said "Mom, thank you so much. That was so lovely and it actually sweetened the stress level". Hi Marco! This is so beautiful. I'm 64 from the UK and just been given a uke for XMAS. I learnt to play guitar 50 years ago but gave up in the 70s as work took over. Learning to play a stringed instrument again is hard but enriches the soul so much. Thanks you for your wonderful content on RUclips.

I used to play guitar until my arthritis in my hands made it impossible to use my fretting hand..so I switched to the Uke...but never felt the 'fullness' of the instrument (like guitar fingerpicking) until now. Tip for people having trouble with volume: If you find that some of your finger plucking on single notes seems somewhat quiet, make sure you're pressing down on the strings up high (lett hand) hard enough.

Gah, you are inspiring me so much. I am travelling in South America and rueing the fact that i have no guitar, feeling like my songwriting was limited by only having a ukulele... how wrong I was... I just haven't unlocked the ukulele yet!
