Who am I?
I'm a passionate futures trader who caught the trading bug in 2020 and haven't looked back since. If you have searched RUclips endlessly for a winning strategy, candle stick pattern, algo trading, trading psychology, smart money, bank money and any other search term you came up with no luck....well you're in the right place! I have been a half a$$ trader for three years and only during the last 6-8 months has everything turned around. I am here to share ideas on what works and what is simply garbage, and the ideas that have changed my approach to the futures market. I hear you I loved the 1 and 5 min chart and I still use them in my strategies but the 15M on this pattern is a beast.

I came up with this on my own a couple of years ago. I called it High Red Low Green. I’m glad someone found a way to tweak it because I kept seeing those patterns but couldn’t make it profitable. Thanks SO much!!

Life made simpler, THANK YOU! I've tried doing the 1 min and 5 min charts that have no setup and you randomly "guess" and it drives me nuts! This is a strategy that is calmer but has some fun attached. I love the Quant Trade guy too! No fluff, just information that is usable. I would love to play with that NQ indicator too, thank you for your thoughtfulness :)

I rarely subscribe to people because must are not worthy. But you are exception. Yes, I’d love this indicator.
One observation. Maybe it’s been stated before but your setup misstates the criteria. A candle will almost never open above or below a previous candle close (a gap open would have to occur). Otherwise a very straightforward strategy. Thanks for staring.

I automated it in MT5 with a slight change, backtested it for the last 2 years, optimized and I am actually amazed. I got 30-70% gain on account with a 5-10% drawdown depending on the TP/SL. Perhaps I should make a video on this.
Funny thing... When coding it I actually made a mistake, so that resulted in the EA only taking Buy trades. Basically, I optimized it for only longs, but indeed, this proves it is still a viable strategy, even after I fixed the code and tested with both Buy and Sell.
I just started to listen to you for the first 3 minutes, I think I see the strategy already. Buy tailbars after each pull back. Don't overstay your welcome. Maybe just buy the small tailbars after the pullbacks. I can't believe I've never saw this before! I'm going to turn your video back on now so I can see if I'm right. I don't think I can ever never see this again.

Looking at your strategy: yes, you would lose some entries and it would affect your winrate, but most of the time on the NQ the price retraces, so it would be interesting to put a limit order at around 50% of the signal bar just to make your RR better. 🤔 You could protect at 1:1 and leave 50% of runners. Or perhaps enter 1/3 of position with a buy stop, 1/3 25% retracement and full on 50% retracement. I don't know, just ideas to work on in case one wants to go full position on this.

Original diagram shows a gap open which is basically impossible intraday on something as liquid as NQ. Example talk about high or low on the next bar vs the open. Just saying.

I tried to make it into a strategy but I am unable as the indicator is not available (not seen on the list of indicators) inside the strategy builder. I guess there is some locked code built in the indicator which does not make it visible or available to be used in a strategy builder. It works manually too and it works fine. I would have loved to convert it into a strategy since I am watching too many things at once.

I would refer you to Ninjatrader website but it seems it would work on the free account.
