What I like about Andy? His build-quality, his paint-jobs, but foremost him understanding that these r/c cars don’t belong on the shelf! Great video, thanks!
Wow thank you for that comment it’s most appreciated and I’m humbled thank you and thanks for taking the time to watch the videos , take care and I hope you don’t mind if I share your comment it’s means a lot to me.
Love it. This car is a joy to drive. Nimble and planted. I like the blue and bronze look of it. I remember when this came out and I pestered my dad for . I have one now and it is still my favourite buggy. Good job on getting it grassy :)
Looks awesome Andy. I used that paint colour on my Top Force racecraft shell and it really pops. There is a hack on the bushing, I put the long screw in the bottom up to the tapered bushing and added another screw from the top going through the top bushing until each screws touch.. This helps to line things up. Then remove the screw from the top and the bottom screw should go all the way through.
Thak you, ha ha must admit I of prefers not to have gotten it dirty but needs must, it did look good kicking the the grass and dirt though ;) BZ stock next, may go brunshless
Beautiful Andy 👌,that paint job is excellent,I love an Egress but unfortunately never owned one, looks like it drives really nice.I am going to have to try that colour on my Procat when I get it👍
Hi Andy. You might have the little screw through the collars the wrong direction. One side the hole is larger so the screw just slides through then tightens I to the other side
Absolutely great video bud egress is my dream car absolutely great to see it out running rather than being stuck on a shelf it looks great fun to drive
Hi David thank you, glad you enjoyed it :) yep definitely, great to get them out and give them a blast , hoping I’ll be running this again fairly soon with a slightly hotter motor :)
I think it looks great, Glad you choose a different color. I think the simple decals lend themselves too all kinds of different base colors. Also glad you drove it !! It needs more motor/ longer legs...I would like to see it ran around a make shift kinda track with couple small jumps/ bumps , tight section, bigger sweeper type section. If You could do it in the current place your at...small cones or objects to mark corners or even sections of rope or string layed on ground to map out parts of track... small jumps made from card board (maybe doubled up, duct tape may help also)... thats my .02 cents.
If you want to clean your RC car easily, COWRC makes a cleaner and a blower. The cleaner is safe for plastic parts and safe for the environment too. Thoughts?
A thing of beauty and well done mate for getting it all dirty and it runs lovely! Sometimes these buggies are just too pretty to run but can't beat getting the full experience from them! Love the colour too Andy😎👍 Cheers James.
That Egress looks absolutely stunning, superb paint scheme, love it!! It runs really well, steering looks so positive, and it's quicker than I expected with the Sport tuned motor. Excellent video as always mate, keep 'em coming👍👍
Hi Barry thanks for the compliments, it went better than expected on the sport tuned motor , steering felt good as well , however the wet weather I think made it look better than it was , but I won’t know until I drive it in The dry. Thanks as ever for your support ;) take care
Wow Andy, that buggy looks bloody gorgeous mate, top job there my friend! Especially as you painted it in these freezing conditions! Agreed, that motor looks cool fitted in there. Seems like you had a blast out there on the grass, covered it nicely, just as it should be, made to run! Wishing you and your family a smashing Christmas and New Year, fella! Cheers! 🎄🎄😁😁👍👍
Hello Mark hope your well. Congrats on all your Xmas videos they were superb! Glad you like the Egress it wasn’t ideal painting it in this weather. It ran very well but it does need a little more go ;) cheers for watching mate :) have a super Christmas Mark all The very best for the new year to you and your family. Hope we can work together maybe next year ;)
Very nice my friend you have a really nice chanel You have a lot of things that I have but I don't have them build yet.. So it's nice to see this types of reviews
Thank you very much , enjoy your egress build :) I’m sure it will be just as good as mine , remember to Spray the flip colour paint first then the black afterwards ;) good luck with it:)
Paint job looks amazing and really goes well with the overall color scheme! 👍 The Egress is a superb buggy, a joy to build, handles well for a vintage design and looks good. I've been so tempted by the Egress Black, but as I already have the standard Egress, it's hard to justify getting another. Great video and thanks for sharing! 👍
Hi David thank you 🙏 I was impressed with how it went together it wasn’t a chore that’s for sure. Handled well also but I want to get it back out in better weather. Apart from body colour/decals wheel colour and shocks/upright colours it’s exactly the same , so it’s probably not worth it. It’s very cool though pleased I joined the egress club ;) thank you for watching
Hi Glenn , definitely finish that avante off and give it a run ;) glad you like the colour seems to have been a good choice. It was really fun to throw it about
Wow Andy stunning 😍 looks so good.. looks great running.. can’t wait to start to build mine.. yeah get the BZ in and see it run agin.. may also go with this paint colour looks awesome dude.. 😊 ❤ sending you and your family best Christmas and New Year wishes 👍👍🤩👏🏅🎅
It looks awesome, well in the beginning it did! It looks to run really well and has a really tight turn radius! It definitely looks like it goes where you want it to when you want it to!! I hope the undertray made the clean up a whole lot easier! That thing is a mess!! LOL!
Hi Addam, cheers fella yeah it looked lovely at the start of the video ;) the steering was way better than I thought it would be, I think the wet ground was making it look extra good in the turns as those front tyres were digging in well and the back was sliding round nicely , will see when I drive It the dry. I was dreading the clean but to be honest it wasn’t to bad and the under tray worked pretty well . Nothing an air duster couldn’t help ;)
Looks sweet out on the grass, and there is still something about the sound of a brushed motor 👌 I think you improved the look. Atleast you’ll have a one off 👍
Cheers Richard , thanks mate must admit it did look nice driving about , the shocks are lovely on it. Definitely right about the sound of a brushed motor, they do sound sound pretty sweet ;) take care fella
Cheers Duncan that was my main aim getting the body work tied in with the shocks , pleased with the results and in it’s first run it was a pleasure to drive
Nice paint job it looks great on camera it would benefit from a tamiya super stock bz motor i am saying that one because it has higher toque for off road use as where the rz is more your on road touring car motor and the tz is for endurance on road use they look the part in any rc.
Hello David, cheers for checking out the Egress Black video out. Glad you like the paint, looks even better when it’s in front of you. Would like to put the BZ as that’s the off-road variant in the Z range of stock motors but there getting expensive now. But as you say they do look the part in in a Tamiya car ;) many Thanks
Hi Andy i bought mine just before Christmas off a reputable ebayer for £32 including shipping was £34 but he sent me the offer for £32. What ever you do don’t buy off am-z-n because people have received there new tamiya super stock motors some without boxs and even some without front motor bushes. Hope this helps
Nice colour, it moves along ok with the Sport Tuned. I’d like to build one with the Tamiya 10.5t brushless motor, even better than a RZ motor, well except for the price 😂
Thanks, yeah I agree it’s ok with the sport tuned but it’s not what I wanted in it, will most likely put an BZ in it, for the amount of running I’ll probably leave it brushed.
What a lovely looking RC Andy! Looks like it totally rips on the sport tuned motor. Should be able to handle the BZ! Crikey you got a lot of grass on that run 😂🤣 Think you smashed it on the colour mate 👍🏻
Hi Craig mate, it wasn’t half bad on the sport tuned motor, better than I thought. Definitely persuaded to get the BZ as that was my first choice for the egress. Certainly picked up a lot of grass and muck on the first run, but it was good fun. Cheers fella
Hi Keith cheers for messaging, glad you like the colour. I like to tweak things as well, it’s part of the fun isn’t it ;) pleased to say this one’s staying in the collection. Cheers again and all the best Keith :)
Hi Alex cheers mate. Glad you like it now it’s finished up. Maybe brushless if I raced it on a big track foe now it will probably be a bz stock , cheers fella
It looks good because you painted it awesome, Andy! I can't even remember what the original one was supposed to look like and I think you know me well enough I don't care! I think you smashed it with this paint job, mate! Just a single little part of the video where you held it, it shone the light just right and I saw that copper-bronze colour reveal itself, lovely! The pinkish is just great! And a nice touch with the blue also, I am loving transparent colours! Oh, I would want one of these, it looks even more cool than a Top Force, but I think I need to hold back, it is not a cheap kit... Maybe someday, ha ha... Have a good one there, mate, and a very Merry Christmas!
Cheers Mad ms ;) the box art was jet black , glad you like the paint job, I’m Very happy with it. It’s a cool buggy , although I thing the top force is a little prettier personally , but the egress is certainly unique looking. Hope you get one in the nr future. All the best Mads and have a great 2023
I’ve now fitted a Tamiya BZ stock motor which is what I wanted to do originally. It will however take a brushless powered motor but I wouldn’t personally go past a 13.5/10.5 turn. I think most brushed motors would be ok as long as you don’t hear it up stupidly. Cheers and good luck
man, stunning paint job, kinda wish i had the ability to paint and decal them myself (dysgraphia puts pay to that tho, shame really) and absolutely amazing buggy, and its nice to find someone who buys an rc to make use of it, i don't really get the point of shelf queens (unless its ultra rare and parts basically don't exist) so amazing video, i hope cleaning it wasn't too bad, my ftx rockatan filled a hoover with dust, rocks and mud after a couple runs and im still peeling grass from it after running it in my local field after a few rainy days i gotta ask, what sort of electrics are best for this rc? or in better wording, what kg servo do you suggest and what turn motor and esc would you recommend? im considering the Super Stock Motor Type RZ motor for my next project rc, unless i do a dark impact, that motor kills the rear diff on them also, would you recommend one of these?
Hello and thanks for watching the video and commenting. Sorry to hear you have troubles with painting and the decaling. I’m Unable to cut the body and decals out and need help ,I have sone fine motor issues with my hands and arms. I definitely like to run my my RC’s if I can , if I can’t use them there no use to me really. It cleaned up pretty well a lot of it was wet grass luckily. I had a rokotan as well it it lost drive when I tested it , didn’t realise until I was back home , it had dropped a grub screw. If your running brushed just a 1060 or 1080 hobbywing Esc , a nice bz Tamiya stock motor and your choice of servo.
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 i have a rockatan, lost front drive during a session of jumping in the wet, turned out my front diff came loose, for a cheap (and my first) brushless i can't really complain, that and its oddly fun in rwd, and yes, i get the motor control issues, been punching myself in the face trying to scratch an itch for over a decade, at least my dad finds doing the paint and decals cathartic and i thank you for the suggested electrics, im considering doing a 2011 avante, very similar chassis to this but cheaper, also cooler wheels and optional wheels more for bashing
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 i also thank you for the motor suggestion, especially considering i like to go to the elan valley (can't remember if thats the right spelling tho, lovely views tho)

LOOK AT THAT PAINT, IT LOOKS SO GOOD!
Thank you very much , glad you like it :)
It's great to see these being driven out and about!!!
Many thanks Joe , to me that’s what there for and I do like to take them out and drive them :) cheers
Andy, you absolutly nailed it with the paintjob ❤ Looks awesome, like it definitely more than the boxart … what a great job 😃👍
Nice job Andy. Like the paint. Haven't decided which way to go with mine yet, but it will appear in a future upload.
Cool, thanks , good luck with your build fella enjoy it

Great build! Glad to see it running out in the open. This is probably the first Egress Black Edition running video on RUclips. 👍😊
Thank you :) it may well be the first black Ed on RUclips which is nice, I just wanted to get it out there and run it :) cheers

That’s my feeling as well, BZ should run well with that in stalled in the gearbox :)

You got a Jegs you got one of The jegs deals.
What’s a Jegs Brad? I know of JEGS performance racing team etc
Egress’s just sound ace don’t they ☺️
They have a great sound to them but like the procat in that they have their own unique sound
Could try it with an LRP V10 spec 6, 12 turn double, they are about half the price of the BZ's
I was going put and LRP in it but both ones I had I’ve used , may but another In though as they’re not expensive
If I had it I'd want it to go like stink meaning I probably put high 4,000 or 5,000 KV brushless motor in it from surpass.
Not sure I’ll put that amount of power through it unless I decide to go race it at a big-ish track, BZ stock motor most likely.
Looks great Andy.. merry Christmas my friend
