    I already knew I liked the DiMarzio LiquiFire, but jeez...what a jazz tone! :)

    I have this exact same model, it's the most versatile guitar I have ever owned. The playability is incredible and ease of use. I have les Pauls and Paul Reed Smith guitars and they don't even come close to the playability and sound that is accomplished by this great guitar. Without a doubt this is my number one.....

    There are plenty other videos of this guitar in a high gain setting. This man is doing us people who enjoy forms of music other than stuff that uses a lot of high gain a favor.

    The Tuners are just Schaller Locking tuners and the input jacks are as follows: The Top jack that is closest to the strap lock is where you want to put your inst cable for Piezo & Mono output. The far Bottom input jack is where you plug in for Stereo output.

    Zachary, I owned this guitar for a while, then had to part with it due to financial reasons at the time. It is an amazing guitar, and extremely versatile. But PLEASE try one before you purchase it. A guitar this expensive is quite an investment and many many people I have met love this guitar to death, but can't adjust to the neck shape. It is very different than the market norm. High radius, very thin "D" shape. Good luck

    The "Red Special" isn't that far behind as far as versatility goes. The wiring in that thing is extremely unique and its materials are also a pert of its sound a lot by design. Thats why you can't mimic it easily.

    @tfrank10311 This is the Standard Music Man model not a Ball Family Reserve or a JPX. With the Ball family reserve you get a bunch of options. the JPX actually looks a little different in the body shape and is chambered.

    @NstuffMusic I know the neck on the JP-XI is even thinner than the JP-X , It is not chambered either. I think I read they were putting maple tops on the JP-XI too.

    Well, basswood is one of John Suhr's favorite tonewoods so... yeah. There are cheap guitars that use mahogany, rosewood, korina, etc. That is definitely not a good gauge of wood quality. In fact, basswood has among the most even frequency ranges of all tonewoods. Even the Guthrie Govan signature antique modern is made of basswood. Check out vids of him talking about it and how great it sounds and how versatile it is.
    BTW, I have EBMM JP6, TAG Classic, and am in the market for a Suhr currently.

    Jimi there is a small Allen key slot if you drop the trem to the strings go flat then on the trem block there is an Allen key hole, you can tighten the trem arm there as tight as you want so it won't move or like mine it moves but not so that it falls away. Hope that helps

    Hey I just want to ask you one question about the tremolo ...I have recently bought music man jp6 ernie ball guitar and the tremolo is unstable like yours when I say unstable I mean that after you use the tremolo its swing back to his place.. Its just always falling down... And I search for information about it and ididnt found ... So my question is how can I make my tremolo be stable ? Thank in advance :-)

    Thanks for the video sounds unreal! Just some constructive criticism, be sure to research the guitar for a little bit before reviewing. The acoustic sound is called the piezo pickup and the middle position on the pickup selector switch is not both pickups, it's the one single coil on the bridge and the one single coil on the neck both together. Just basic stuff I thought I would note. Thanks again!!!

    • @SuperKomedyKing
      @SuperKomedyKing 8 лет назад

      That's correct, middle toggle position on the magnetic pickups is actually parallel inner coils

    What a joke! A high end guitar made of the least appealing tonewood on the planet!? Basswood is the same crap-ass wood they use for entry level Ibanez guitars. Can you say, no Bass response and zero dynamics? I could literally design a better and more resonant instrument at half the price by going to Warmoth or Carvin. I love John's playing, but if had the money, I'd go to Suhr or Tom Anderson and get a much nicer guitar for the same or less money.
