Yeah, it's why I always feel bad when people down talk campaign one. That story is so so special to the cast And a lot of the c2 fans just say "it's generic fantasy" when there's so much more to it. The stories are deeply personal and well acted because the emotions are almost real
Marisha is so attached to Keyleth & I think they are all so attached to their C1 characters cause that was there first time really playing the game not only that but for it to last over a year they have to be deeply connected to those characters.
@@DaGoon_ could we maybe not gatekeep? People who started with C2 are just as much part of the Critters as those who began with C1. We're all equal in our love for CR. Also, if you want people to enjoy C1, maybe don't talk down to them- you make yourself look like an asshole and now people definitely won't want to engage in the content you use to "elevate your status"
I still think the only thing that could have topped Vilya's return home is Matt turning to Marisha and saying: "Keyleth, what do you do?" *Change my mind*

Yeah they one, but her friends scattered, her love was gone and she would be too busy rebuilding her people to solve the mystery of her mother. Everybody else got happy endings, very happy endings. Keyleth was alone, the exact thing she feared most
I know Marisha replied in Talks Machina that after Vilya went home, and the episode ended, Laura went to her and said that Keyleth finally got her happy ending. And I cried all over again. It was like Matt giving Marisha a present.
I know they were all probably tired & everything but i really wish Marisha could've channeled Keyleth briefly so we could've seen that reunion play out in full.

I was hoping they would take Vilya up on the offer to transport off the island so they didn't forget. We see the reunion and Keyleth comes back with them to get some payback on the thing that kept her mom from her for 25 years. If they played it right, that could have even been the lead in to the battle royale episode, M9 vs VM, that they promised in the Kickstarter. Artagin recognizes Keyleth and gets the idea to set up the fight as entertainment during Traveler-con.

Vilya reuniting with Keyleth was the only moment in the show that ever had me cry (and it’s VERY hard to make me that emotional) Keyleth was my absolute favorite character from Vox Machina and it made me so happy to see her get her mom back after everything she’s lost.
I can't actually remember whether it's referenced within the show but Delilah Briarwood being Vess De Rogna's predecessor. And well also the residuum used by Ikithon.

Also if you watch the episode the Mighty Nein were not having a good time. But when Allura comes in the entire cast brightens. Because even if their characters didn’t know it, they had someone they knew was trustworthy.

In the epilogue of the animated series i hope they cut to years later when her Vilia steps through the tree and you see some of the reunion with keyleth but you also get a quick look through the tree to see the mighty nein partying up on rumblecusp. With of course the adventure continues

Great video. I still can't believe nobody tried to scry Keyleth's mom in the first campaign or recognized her in the second campaign. You need to be suspicious of everything with Matt as the DM.
I'm quite certain that the Air Ashari tried and failed scrying on Keileth's mom when she didn't come back long before they even sent Keyleth on her Aramente in her stead. Judging by their performance during the battle against the Cinder King's troops, they have a number of high level druids who could cast scry. Vocoto shielded Rumblecusp against scrying, because he was afraid to be found by that thing from the Astral Sea.
i know i still need to catch up in campaign 2 but the clip of the group learning about who Vilya was and Marisha's freak out: "WHAT IS HAPPENING!!" *proceeds to sink down* is still my top favorite moment just from the sheer joy, revelations, disbelief, and over abundance of excitement from the crew x3
Tek-nik-lee Jester made 3 appearances in Campaign one since Travis confirmed that the Half-Orc and Tiefling with a baby that showed up in the bar in Grog's one shot was an Easter egg of Fjord, Jester, and Ronan. Also, while it's not been confirmed there's a very reasonable argument that one of the people in Molly's circus (Desmond) was actually the Briarwood's coach driver whose hand Percy mangled in Campaign 1.
Desmond Moondrop was described as having a scarred face, but nothing about his hands. And since his act is playing the fiddle, it seems like if one of his hands were as badly mangled as Whitestone Desmond was, it would have been mentioned.

(Also, she was *exceptionally* mad at Travis when he biclassed as Paladin, the class he intended to use before Warlock)

Kiki didn't always have the power, and by the time she did and thought about it, there were kinda dragons around. Plus, there's a safety in not knowing. If you scry and can't find her, you know she's dead. If you scry and do find her... Why did she not come home? Eventually, Kiki went to the water ashari, and they told her that all they found was a leg. That's as close to "yeah, she's dead" as she was likely to get. She never gave up hope, but with that info, I doubt she'd want to confirm it with a scry
bc they were fully convinced she was dead, or she would have been powerful enough to get home by herself. she was "eaten by a crakin" and they had a few "remains" (her foot) as proof. the idea to scry just never organically came up ig. We tend not to give fictional characters the benefit of making human mistakes or not coming up with the perfect solution, but since CR is an improv based show we get a lot of very realistic (should have done in hindsight) mistakes by the characters. You can see by how hard they freaked out when she was found that they had fully never expected even a chance she was alive.
I think Matt was literally just so convincing about her being dead that they fell for it lol. The dude is dangerous, thank goodness he has a conscience or else who knows what he could accomplish with that level of deception and manipulative skill! MWA HAHAHAHA!!!!!

One of my favorite things was how they all recognized Allura from Matt talking as her. It shows how much they all love that NPC.

Matt wanted Raishan to survive, so had Keyleth not turned the tide of that fight, he may well have in some form.
