I owned a carpet restoration company for about 13 years servicing home, commercial and auto. I am tripple certified in chemical handeling and mixing with training in Hazmat cleanup. That yellow color is most likely not dirt, it is chemical burn. The pH is probably too high in that area.
Simply using a gentle citric acid solution and wiping down the fibers so as not to soak it will remove most all of the discoloration.
The reason the color seems to go away when spraying more chemical on is because in a wet state the residual chemical becomes unstable in the presence of new chemical but returns when dry. Anyone who has had their carpet done will tell you it always looks good right after but most usually dinges and browns within a day or so. That's because the technician isn't rinsing with a neutralizer.
The overwhelming amount of time, yellowing or browing is not dirt, it's a chemical reaction. Citric acid rinsing takes out all the soap but too strong a mixture call also cause a burn. I have also used a mild saline rinse. Salt is neutral and is used to bring both pH and acid into a neutral zone. However salt is also corrosive so if you use it as a rinse you must follow it up with a distilled water rinse to make sure all of it gets out.
Auto carpet is designed to stain and fail. The auto manufacturers need you to continue to buy their product so it is engineered to fail.
The only way to keep your carpets clean is to weekly blow the mats and all fabrics out, even if they look clean, with forced air like the "tornador" carpet blaster. The problems with cleaning isn't just what is on top but what is stuck at base level that wicks up when the carpet gets wet and air blasting helps force things out from the base level and is best done dry weelkly.
Another thing is keep clean towels in the car and place them down in passenger areas when wet weather or grimy conditions occur, and for the drivers side keep a replacement mat in the trunk, you don't want a towel bunching up under the gas or brake pedals and causing an accident. The only true way to keep a car interior is 💯 percent all about prevention not treatment.

Thank you. Appreciate that! This system is great for cleaning carpets as I was demonstrating. Just be sure to use the finisher to knock the chemical ph down and neutralize it👍
I love this system from Renny Doyle P & S. Thank you for your patience and time to put this video together. Great 👍😊 job.
Me too man! It's a great, affordable, effective system that I love! Thank you for taking the time out of your day/night to watch!!! 🤜🤛
Great video bro, I have been using this system almost since it came out and primarily use the terminator and carpet bomber. It’s an all round great system. makes me feel better that it’s safe and won’t cause any damage to cloth seats and carpet. As always great content and video.

Love your down-to-earth approach to detailing! Though a drill brush and an extractor makes the job a bit easier, it's amazing what you can do with a brush, a microfiber cloth, and a little elbow grease. Thanks for another great video, I always learn something from every one of them!

I dilute Extra Tough at 15:1 giving me 16 gals of product and it takes it all out. Only costs me $2.25 per gallon diluted and the end result is amazing. It also leaves carpet and upholstery soft. I clean my moms throw rugs this way too and when my little dog pee's on my bathroom rug, I just spray it and watch the stains dissappear. Thanks for the review bro!
I have some Extra Tough!!! I've gotta give it a try!!! Hear great things! The carpet bomber and terminator can be diluted as well. All in all I'm sure extra tough is legit. I can still say this 3 step system Is great as well! Appreciate you watching and providing that information about Extra Tough👍👍
Awesome video and results with products from P&S.I bet your dad thought you bought 3 new mats. Driver side mat takes a beating!! I have the interior cleaner and the carpet bomber. Amazon has a good enzyme cleaner. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Al, he was blown away let me tell ya! That driver's floor mat was just nasty! I didn't know that Amazon did have one. Thanks man! As always I appreciate you watching my friend!🤝
Papa, as always, good job on video! I like to use Oxy Clean on heavy soiled mats. I will soak them over night in Oxy and cold water. I also use a home made mixture of Oxy Clean ( which is Peroxide), Dawn Dish Soap & Ammonia Glass Cleaner, which came from another detailer. It is a very economical mixture which works well, try it.
Thank you! Oh really?? In always for trying things that I can make so thank you for suggesting that! Appreciate you watching my friend!

Great job my friend. I've been using P&S products for about the last year or so. I've had some amazing results with their products. The Express Interior Cleaner is (in my opinion) one of the best products on the market for doing interiors. I love how versatile it is- you can literally use it on everything. Their carpet cleaners that you feature in this video are also amazing products that work! I'm glad that more people are seeing how good their products are. I also like how affordable they are. Great work!

Justin, agreed! The Xpress interior cleaner is absolutely fantastic.. I have a gallon of that too and it's been my go too for a while. Very cheap and effective. Smells absolutely phenomenal too haha. HOT WATER!!! That was my missing link. I put the solution in the machine and my carpet was slightly crunchy. Thank you @PapaSmurf918 and RUclips University! haha Will go back and use hot water only as it was a small area rug and wife was mad about the crunch after.
Haha No problem my friend!!! Hot water is key. Just hot as the faucet will go! Also.. the finisher treatment is key too. To neutralize any chemicals that are left in fibers.. that will also help it not be as crunchy... 👍👍👍 appreciate you taking the time to watch!!!!
The car looks soo much better inside now
Thank you. Really looks good now!!!!
Nice job! They cleaned up very well! I did a video not to long ago on some floormats as well. They were fairly clean and used the same extractor to see what would come out.

James, I believe they work Drill stuff brush set off Amazon 👍👍 20 bucks for 4 I believe something in that nature.
Thank you
Anytime man!!
Yoooo wazap!!!! 👀
I gave bomber and terminator a try like a month ago cause of the good reviews.
I did a floor mat day only !! 26 mats total for my cars 😅 and for the first set it did work, but not as good or "quick" as i thought.
It needed 2 or even 3 passes to bring them back and definitely didn't just with brush/towel, had to use 2 extractors and another tool (I'll get to that in a bit)
Went and got chemical guys lighting fast and fabric clean to compare against p&s duo. To me both worked about the same , different touch feel and obviously the smell.
With power tools drill brush and extractor the result was better for sure in less time.
But thennnnnnnn.... I went to HD and got some ZEP because I had seen some people suggest using that and oh boy... The other set which was the suburban mats that i have NEVER cleaned since we got it about 4yrs ago that were really hammered... Those things felt like silk or mink or whatever 🤣 and cheaper than p&s and cg .
And ZEP , like you say... It smells ... Fannn tasss TIC!!!😅
So now ZEP it's my 1st go-to , but still have the other 2 brands.
Now onto the tools.
Idk if you have tried , but imo , you have a better extractor right there behind you lol.
I got that Bissell spot cleaner a day or two before the mats day and was the perfect time to test it out... Again, cause of all the good reviews detailers have of it for weekend warriors.
Did it work? Sure...
But damn, that thing is loud !!!! And the hose is so short!
So... I had previously bought an extractor tip adapter for my rigid 5.5hp vac but wasn't sure if it was or had a good suction force since it's a vac and not a dedicated extractor.
So i put them to the test and man.... What took 3-4 passes with the Bissell, the shop vac with that tip did it on 1 pass and even left it more dry than the Bissell .
Sure, the Bissell has the rinse sprayer , but all i did was put my water in my pump sprayer and spray away and right after with the rigid lol.
Longer hose and less noise too PLUS way more suction power!!.
Now... There's a 4th tool 😅
3rd being a steamer but you already know about those.
I got one of them tornador type guns... Oh-my-damn!!!!
I'm never using a brush to agitate shit again!!! Lol... This thing pulls dirt and whatever it's been there since the first hr the mats or carpet were put in the car at the manufacturing company!!!
And on top of that you can add your shampoo , stain remover or even just water and boy does that thing pays itself the first minute you use it lol.
Do you have one? If not, you should try it out.
Ok, i think i already typed too much lol...
Hahahaha woah! ZEP! I'm familiar with ZEP as use them in my shop. I'll definitely look into it! I honestly have not really come across anything that this system couldn't tackle. For me it works great. 🤙 but, I appreciate your insight on the zep!
@@josea7422 So the one thing that annoys me is the short hose on the Bissell. But it works for me. I don't do enough interiors for it to really bother me that much. Most of the time I do mats.. that I can set up on my Cart. I do however really want a steamer! That will probably be the next tool I grab. Having the right tools make s it so much easier!!! Lol all good. Type as much as you want!!!
@@PapaSmurf918Detail Yeah lol, i did a 34yr old car carpet about a month ago by now and that thing still smells as good when you open the door . There's a chance i went too heavy with the ZEP lol, cause i think you're supposed to dilute that 5oz to 1 gallon and i did probably double that or something 😅
But yeah, just something else to have as option, i still have the p&s and CG stuff there too.
@@PapaSmurf918Detail Yeah, i was going to keep the Bissell but couldn't find an excuse or justify the 170 tag . And probably biggest issue is that hose for sure , cause that's what makes the machine's noise annoying since you have it like 2ft from you.
P&S have some get products at a good price. I used bead maker and brake buster all the time
Absolutely bro. Some great products from P&S! Appreciate you watching 💪🤙
What model bread maker? Haven't seen one on their site?

@@PapaSmurf918Detail LOFL 🤣
@@PapaSmurf918Detail Dang it. Have to love the keyboard warrior ..
A friend of mine spilled milk on his carpet. I wonder if that peroxide step would remove the odor? Consensus is that the extractor won't remove milk odor. I haven't tried it so I can't confirm.
That's a good test for the peroxide treatment! I think this system would take care of it.. depending in how long it's been there though hahaha. Appreciate you tuning in!
Would you recommend to use them on headliners?
Headliners are tricky I spray into towel and lightly rub. Or if you have a steamer you can wrap the head in a towel and lighty steam/scrub. My experience is never spray directly onto headliner and over saturate it👍
What brush did you use man?
I believe this was the Tuff Shine brush I was using here👍 thank you for taking the time to watch!
Nice job Smurf! I just got 1 of those to try. Carpet bomber. So far, so good. After you shop vacuum or extract, how long did carpet take to dry? Great video buddy!
Thanks Kim! You will love it.. very effective! Shoot it was a hot one here so it dried within an hour. Haha, so depending how hot it is will vary.. but, not very long especially if you hit it with your shop vac at the end. Appreciate you watching!!🤝

Sorry, but first mat still had a light beige stain on it.
Can't expect perfect results man. Why focus on that and not all the stuff that was removed... also, for just using a microfiber towel I knew it wasn't gonna pull out everything.. had I extracted it would have. Was just showing what you can achieve with that method. Which in my opinion was fantastic.
@@PapaSmurf918Detail I am not focusing. I just saw it. I mean you did spray a lot of stuff. 3 kinds of out of this world products. A pro fancy brush. I also can’t get perfect results with superclean and a Walmart brush, but it is expected. With these really fantastic amazing products, all three of them, I was expecting no more stains. Steam or not. Sorry.
Lol. Well, 2... the finisher is not a cleaner. Plus, wasn't praising there the most amazing fantastic bestest stuff on the market 😂 there affordable and there effective.. and an 4 dollar tuff shine brush is far from pro🤣
You only sprayed 20 times there’s no way all that liquid came out into the bissell 😂 but nice job

@@PapaSmurf918Detail yeah. I recommend everyone to get a pressure washer. You can get one for around the same price of the Bissell extractor and I feel like it is more useful. Anyways, there is no right or wrong in the detail world.
I agree, not mandatory but VERY helpful. Same goes for an air compressor 👍 pressure washers are definitely not expensive as they used to be.
Unpopular opinion: P&S products are pretty basic. I've got the interior cleaning, brake buster, beadmaker, and this 3 step system and they're all meh in my opinion. Can't use any of it and hammered vehicles.
I hope your joking. Did you see how nasty the driver floormat was? Are they the best product on the market? No way... are they effective, safe, and affordable?? Absolutely.. oh and I've personally used them on hammered vehicles with great results. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@PapaSmurf918Detail not joking in the slightest. I have to use carpet bomber diluted 5:1 to make it even remotely effective. Like I said though, unpopular opinion lol. P&S, in my opinion, is great for maintained cars and their prices are great.
@@japspec96 I have to say I disagree man, carpet bomber diluted 5:1 to be effective.. I use it straight. Have you tried it straight? Anything diluted isn't going to work as strong.. idk, everyone's entitled to there own opinions so I won't argue. It works for me hahaha. BB is great, but it does lack a bit of cutting power. Still, not a bad product... I'd be different if the prices were high. But there not... I'll certainly recommend them any day of the week.
@@PapaSmurf918Detail I will only recommend them for those who arent making money off it. If you are doing this as a weekend gig or even as a profession, there are better more effective products for right around the same price point.
