Really feel your pain - sometimes you get those weeks where it’s doomed from day one. I’m finding my usual suppliers are really going down the drain, take no responsibility and can barely string a sentence together. No appreciation for how much they can ruin your day! Great work as always though.
I had too many bad experiences with euros telling me parts were on their way. 5:50pm part turns up, 6 hours late, and incorrect. That and their rotating electrics being unreliable. I just stopped using them for anything except branded filters, I just couldn’t make money with them causing me problems like that. Then chasing refunds for months. Hope you have more luck with the next alternator! 👍🏼 Bosch, Delco remy, denso are probably the best alternators - not always available though - but you know this already 👍🏼
I have had lots of problems with WAI alternators, it looks like other manufacturers are just as bad. It would be good to know if you do find a reliable brand. Cheers mate
I didn’t really wanna get the air pipe right down the back off so I just pushed it as far back as I could, no way I could get pliers for the clamp with without taking the wheel at inner arch out.

Lucas isn't Lucas any more it's wing wong lol. You can hold the alternator tensioner with one of the pins that comes in a cam belt kit to hold the tension on a new tensioner .
Lucas parts are very poor these days. OE is the only way to go, but no discount & higher prices. My golden rule, quote for OE starters or alternators, if the customer doesn't like that, best he goes elsewhere. No money in doing stuff twice.

It’s a constant headache mate
Kerby speechless when talking about crappy new parts …… I suspect a foul mouth spray was being self censored in those moments. 😂
Hahaha yeah you know it
You keep very calm about poor service, great videos keep them coming,
Think I’d go mad if I didn’t, thanks for watching

Hi kerby, Bosch alternators for me every time. 👍🏻
Not had any issues with them no?
I fitted a good amount of them with no issues. Not the cheaper end of the market but nobody enjoys doing the job twice.@@kerbsidemobilemechanic
Yeah man I HATE doing anything twice
I wont touch lucas anymore mate. Bosch or denso everytime. Havnt ever had any issues with either 👍
Denso is coming up a lot so might be my next port of call
Wouldn’t Bosch alternators be a good option?
Yeah a few people have recommended them now 👍🏼

They're all hopeless mate, even the part's suppliers don't care now, best bet is main dealer expensive sometimes but backed by warranty
Great watch mate, Its such a gamble with any brand of parts these days what chance have we got !
